Ember was the youngest of her siblings, and the only daughter with three older brothers, her kingdom was that of the cat kind, anything from a regular tabby to her own kind, the royalty of the city, the Snow Leopards. Ember was about 19 and still had yet to be wed since her suitors could not seem to get along with her, she was far too wild, as some of them complained to her father, but all he could tell them was that unless she accepted them as her mate, that there was nothing he could do, not matter who they were or what they offered. Her brothers on the other hand were all rotten to the core, each one out for himself, and none with any good intentions for the citizens. But Ember was different, she always had thought of her people before herself, and was loved by many for her kindness, it was even rumor that if she could find a husband before her father passed away that she would be given the throne instead of her brothers, so of course her brothers helped her scare off suitors, but only for there own gain.

They were a rather peaceful city, and were in no war that they knew of, but that did not mean that they were pushovers, they still had very strong fighters and soldiers. But the conquering of there home was not something that they would expect, at least not on the princesses 19 birthday.

Ember was a still rather young snow leopard, standing only about five foot five inches, she was regular size for her kind, but quick since she was slender just about every where except for her firm C cup breasts, and tight ass. Her fur was a shiny white with the spots all over, her hair was long and silver, barely darker than her fur, and her ears were standing up at the moment with black on the tips. Her eyes were an icy blue shade, but unlike others she wore dark shades, a dark sapphire blue corset was tied tightly around her slender figure, and she wore a skirt with slits up to her mid thigh for easy movement. Around her neck was her family crest on a silver chain. Everything about her was just stunning. Today she was shopping in the market for some new clothing, unlike her family she had shop keepers make her clothing instead of the royal ones in the castle, she preferred to give her money to people who would allow her to choose how she wanted her clothing to fit.

It wasn't like it was planned. But if you insult the royalty of a sovereign nation, you can expect some... violent results. And that's just what they got. It was quite wide spread through all the neighboring kingdoms that the youngest daughter was gorgeous as she was wealthy. And she would be holding quite a party for her kingdom. And yet, none of the royalty from the wolves to their Eastern border had been invited, while those disgusting ravens from the SouthWest were invited. It was an insult without saying a word. So, the royal kingdom put together a small, well trained, well armed group of male wolves, including the king's oldest son.

The prince, of whom hated anything political, was a clean cut soldier and enjoyed the job. Tall, lean, black fur from head to toe, and deep brown eyes that held a keen sense about them of an intelligence that he hid. While most thought he was of average intelligence, there was a reason why he was a good leader and an excellent tactician. And those damned snow leopards would find out this day just why he was.

They'd spread themselves through the city, and that night, they would... 'crash' the party. It wasn't uncommon for the capital of the kingdom to have wolves roaming the streets armed to the teeth. They worked as body guards, hired mercenaries, typically anything to do with inflicting pain upon people. Either way, he had some time to kill, so he'd wandered off to the market to find something to eat. Can't ruin some poor princess' birthday on an empty stomach. Although, if one of the royal family was walking through the market and spotted him, there was a good chance they could figure out he wasn't just some wolf for hire.

Ember looked around at all the different dresses while waiting for the seamstress to bring out her dress for the party, a very beautiful, long dark blue gown, with a corset sewn into the top, and instead of the puffy ball dresses hers was long and sleek, and had beads sewn into it to make it sparkle. “Thank you Princess,” Said the woman, as she was about to leave the shop and go on to get some food herself, mainly some snacks for the party since the girl had a sweet tooth, but Ember put her finger to her lips shaking her head, “Thank you, but please just use my name, I don’t want to be hassled by the other merchants.” She hinted, and shortly after the woman replied, “Miss you are to beautiful not to be noticed.” She called back before walking out of the shop and to the shop that had the baked goods, chocolates, and meat, all cooked in different areas of the shop, but this was her favorite place to shop for food.

But the streets were crowded and she was accidentally bumped into on the left and fall into a man to her right, a black wolf from the looks of it he seemed to be a mercenary, backing away she lowered her head slightly as an apology, “I’m so sorry Sir, please excuse me.” She said softly, a smile showing on her lips as she looked up at him with her crystal eyes. She continued on and entered the shop, greeting the elderly woman and her husband. “Good morning Princess here for your white chocolate I presume?” She asked with a sweet smile. Nodding Ember walked over to the woman and hugged her, “Hello Anna, and yes I’m here for that, and to visit your shop of course.” She said softly. Looking around the shop was small and cute, but the food was the best, in her opinion. She looked over the other sweets as she waited patiently for her box of chocolates.

It wasn't the girl's fault, really. He probably should've been paying attention to where he was instead of window shopping. It was hard to help himself. Although felines were by far the most conceited of any race, they did have one good quality. The food they made was absolutely amazing. Back when their two countries were on friendly terms, he used to visit the feline border villages as often as he could in order to pick up some of their food. So, while they were crashing the party the evening, he didn't mind stopping off and picking up some food on his own. He had enough money, but he could only buy small quantities. If he ate too much, he'd be over fed for the events later on that evening.

So, when the girl bumps into him and snaps him out of his little reverie, he was shocked to see something unique. A feline girl... but not just any feline girl. This one was cute... sexy... he was actually attracted to her physical form. This was something quite unusual. He'd been around many feline females, but he'd never seen one that he'd actually like. "It's no problem at all..." He says, his voice soft in regard to her apology. Deciding he needed to know more about her, he entered the store that he'd been window shopping and that she'd just entered. Walking over to her, he clears his throat. "Excuse me." He says, giving a friendly smile. Being the princess, if she knew what was good for her, she'd be wary of any wolf. Except that he'd not recognized her as any sort of royalty. "I'm not from around here, as you might tell... Could you... maybe walk me around a little and show me some good places to eat, by chance?"

Getting her chocolate from the woman she turned to hear the wolf speaking to her, and of course the girl lived a sheltered life so she did not really think that he would have been in the kingdom for her. Nodding she shrugged her shoulders, “I suppose so, I have time before I have to get ready for the event.” She said softly before looking to the old woman again, “Anna, would you mind getting some of your meat for him?” She asked sweetly, but Anna’s eyes were on the wolf, having sworn she knew who he was and that she had seen him before, but being almost blind she shrugged it off and nodded, “Yes, of course young miss.” She said, as she brought out two large skewers of meat and handed them to the princess.

“This is in fact the best place for any food, none top this little shop, even if she doesn’t admit it.” Ember giggled, and of course Anna shook her head, saying she was not and of course the old woman blushed happily at the compliment. Paying for the food she began walking again, but shortly after she and the wolf left the shop a messenger ran up to her and seemed to have been running for a long time looking for her, obviously there to fetch her. “Princess, I’ve been looking everywhere for you, you father wants you to return and get ready for the party.” He said quickly before looking to the wolf, knowing to be wary since the king had not invited them, against the princesses wished to invite them.

And knowing this she asked the messenger for a piece of paper and wrote a personal invitation for the wolf she had met, unaware of who he was and not really caring since he seemed rather nice, the note stated that she had given him permission to attend and was signed at the bottom. Handing it to him she smiled, “I hope you will be able to make it sir.” She said before heading off with the messenger toward the palace.

"...Princess..." Now that word rang through his mind. He should've seen it sooner, and now they were in public. Had he been smart enough to realize what he had in front of him in that little shop, he could've killed the owner and knocked out the girl and have stolen her off. But unfortunately, he had never seen the princess before, so he would've had no way of knowing. He didn't react to the news, however, like a good spy. Standing there, he let the two finish their conversation, still standing there politely and not saying a word. He had to be patient if he was going to end up exacting his plan. At least now, he knew what his target looked like.

When she handed him the invitation, he was genuinely confused. It was an invitation signed by the princess to her own party. It had to be honored. Even if he was a wolf, the guards at the door would see the princess' signature and be forced to accept the invitation. Otherwise, it would be openly rejecting a wolf, and that would cause a total war started by the felines. While it was far more 'socially acceptable' for the wolves to start the war, it was a very real possibility that the snow leopards would not have the aid of their allies if they started it. "Thank you, Princess." The wolf says with a bow. "I shall certainly attend." The wolf says before the two are off on their way. "I hope you don't mind if I bring a few friends..." He says to himself, smirking, the girl far out of earshot by then.

Smiling she nodded, glad to hear he was showing up, but it was obvious that the place would be well guarded to hopefully prevent party crashers. Nodding she headed off with the messenger to the castle, of course she was now getting a lecture from the man about how her father would not like the fact that she had invited that man, but Ember ignored him, the young girl obviously was not like her father and was very kind and to her the wolf seemed rather nice and until he had heard the messenger address her he didn’t seem to act as the others did around her, obviously oblivious to who she was, and that was what she wanted, sometimes it was nice being royalty, but other times it was such a burden.

Arriving at home she was bombarded by many servants telling her what was ready, and what they were doing and that she had to get ready. Quickly she headed up to her own room and set the dress down and undressed in the bathroom before getting in the bath and washing up, making herself sparkly clean and smelling of lilies and vanilla. Once finished she put on the very nice and rather tight dress, her long hair flowing down her back and a tiara clipped in her hair and dangled down over her fore head to the other side, showing that she was in fact royalty. Once finished she put on a pair of silver heels and was ready, as was the party, many of the guests had arrived and she looked forward to getting this event done and over with so she could hide in her room.

Ember was introduced last as the final guest entered and walked down the stairs gracefully as the dancing music started. Her favorite, but none of the men in front of her interested her so she walked through the crowds and finally coming to an empty area for her to lean against the wall and watch everyone else, knowing that none of those horrible men were for her.

He didn't know if the girl was foolish, naive or just plain stupid. But handing him an invitation to the party was like 'Hey, don't worry about getting past the guards to get in. Just waltz right in and capture me.' Pocketing the invitation, he walks back to a little seedy bar and takes a seat, ordering a drink. This would be better than having picked her up in that little shop. This way, he could make a flashy show of taking the girl, and he'd do it right in front of every one of those damn felines. Instead of crashing in and having to run the girl down, now he could simply walk right up to her and then have her while his men crashed in instead. It was a huge tactical advantage. Getting in would be the hard part... getting out... Getting out would be the fun part.

The nearest wolven border village was at least four days march from the capital. Four days, they'd have to match with a very unwilling girl. Seven wolves and one feline probably being carried the entire time. Four days was a march for any infantry that was unhindered. They needed to carry rations for eight people, march as quickly as they could while occasionally spreading out, hiding and then regrouping. Four days was an idyllic time frame, and he didn't imagine they were going to make that. Five, maybe six at the most. Either way, he had a job to do. Standing up from the bar, there was six other wolves in six other places, and all seven of them made their way toward the castle, only one being open about it

Ember had been very hopeful that the wolf would show, since her father had not invited them she figured that she would, for the sake of hoping to keep her home safe. And she had found the wolf attractive, but as she looked around the ballroom she did not see him there and gave a sigh, wondering if he really disliked her kind and did not show on purpose. Walking around she was approached by many males of different races, each one hoping to be a possible suitor, but just from the look they were giving her she knew they wanted nothing more than the throne, and even offered her man gifts if she would consider it. But none interested her, she didn’t want to be some trophy and she had made that clear to these men, even to the point that when one of them commented about being able to control a wild girl such as her she took his drink from his hand and poured it on his shirt.

Waking away from him the man called her many things, and each one was probably true, she was uncontrollable when it came to men as stuck up as him, and far too wild for his tastes. Walking through the crowds she walked out to the balcony of the castle and looked out thinking to herself how horrible her own birthday party was turning out. Now she stood in the bright moon light, in her dark glittering gown, her silver tiara and other bits of jewelry. With a sigh she leaned on the edge of the rail looking out.
