Drake Summers was in his final year of High School and with final exams coming up he had decided to take the opportunity to relax a little, unwind from the stresses of studying. For that reason, he had driven out of the city and into the countryside, somewhere nice and isolated, where he could be alone and relax away from the noise of other people and modern civilization. After finding somewhere to park his car, Drake had taken a walk out into the hills, humming softly to himself as he explored, something he loved to do, heading out to places he hadn't been before, exploring and learning his way around. Sure he got lost sometimes....ok most of the time....but that was half of the fun right? And when he got lost once and learned his way around, then it would mean he never got lost again. "Ahhh, and it's a beautiful day for it too....absolutely perfect. A nice day of relaxation and then I'll be all set for exams"
After an hour or two of wandering, as expected Drake had found himself lost in the hills, but he didn't mind, it wasn't late so he wasn't even trying to find his way back. He didn't consider it lost, just 'being in uncharted territory' was all. Besides, if all else failed he had a GPS on his cell phone so could always find his way back using that.
After a little more wandering, Drake found himself coming across a cave mouth, and for some reason he just had a compulsion to head in. Maybe it was his explorers spirit that was driving him....the draw of the unknown. Whatever it was, before he could really think about it Drake found himself heading into the cave, pulling out his flashlight for some illumination and beginning to move deeper in. He had already decided if there were any branches he would just turn back rather than risk getting lost inside of a cave system, but it seemed this cave was just a single tunnel heading in deeper and deeper. "Hm....well then...." He grinned, heading further into the cave system, eager to see where it left or if there would be a larger cavern at the end of the tunnel.
