"Shit, shit, shit!" Mike shouted as he searched about his apartment frantically, grabbing clothes left and right to shove haphazardly into a suitcase. "I'm telling you sis, we need to go. Need to get the fuck out of here. I swear to God, I saw one of those Russian fucks following me. We can't afford to pay them and you know that. I'm tapped out and you sure as hell don't have any money. Let's just get on a bus and get the fuck out of town. Like...like, Mexico or some shit. Canada, fuck...anywhere!" he continued to rant to his sister in a panic as he tried his best to make sense of what he was doing.
Mike and his sister were in debt big, and to the wrong type of people. Almost a week had gone by and despite any of his efforts, he was unable to get the money that was owed, and finally decided that the best bet would be to just leave town and go...go anywhere. He thought about going to the police, but then realized that would probably do him no good. These type of people didn't care about the police...hell, they probably had some on their payroll. He would be dead within a few days if he talked. Not only that, he had no proof. Just a shady underground high-stakes poker game that was never played in the same place twice. He had no idea how to find the people he owed, let alone who they were other than Russians.
"I'm telling you Alex...we need to go. Now!"
