It was tonight the boys were busy finishing up their homework. The twins had been talking about it among themselves for a few months now and they thought they had it pegged. A new game for family game, not there was anything wrong with the old ones. The family were gamers and had burned through many boardgames and even videogames, the new game would allow for an open world of endless possibilities. Jason the youngest had opted for something of a power house style character, while Steve decided on a tactical class. The game of choice that would have an open world based on choices? Dungeons and Dragons, only they had made their own ideas on how to play.
Anyone that's played the dice game would know it's numbers based. They didn't really care for the entire idea of math outside of school so they did some massive tweaking. The stats of the characters where important, as were those of the challenge of monsters and traps. They knew their mom would love it and they couldn't wait for her to get off work. They spoke back and forth between each other for the debut of the game and Steve as the dungeon master. Steve loved telling and writing stories so he was the best choice at making the flow and plot, and in a world where anything goes through the DM, well Steve was giddy to say the least.
The two sixteen year old boys finished their homework and started rolling the stats of their characters and then went to work on the looks of their characters. Jason's looked very similar to himself, a five foot eleven inch tall human fighter with green eyes and blonde hair. Steve chose a more unique look opposite of his own. While Steve was an inch taller than his brother with dishwater blonde hair and green eyes, his character stood six foot six, dark tan skin, red locks and black eyes with red irises for his stealthy rogue ranger. What their mother was going to be they had no idea but they had given her a week to prepare herself and the character. This adventure and family game night was bound to be epic to them even with them new.
