Kevin Patterson clocked in for his job at the asylum. It wasn't a leisurely job, but it was better than the jobs most people his age had. He got paid a decent amount of money, and the people here were very interesting. His job was to pretty much take care of the patients; bring them food, keep the company, help them bathe if they needed the help. After school, he would head straight to work and stay there until about ten at night. His coworkers were really nice and helpful, and he's had no problems with the patients, but then again, he was kept away from the more dangerous ones.
He just got a new assignment to take care of a certain patient. To get an idea of who it was, he went through some of the files he was allowed to see. The strange thing was, this person's files were pretty small. All he found out was that it was a girl, around his age, and she didn't talk. The asylum has staffed many different people to her, trying to get her to interact with someone, but she wouldn't do anything. So Kevin assumed that he was assigned because he was closer to her age, maybe she could connect to him. And that was about all he found on her. No other records of her. No birth certificate, no listed family members, no form of identification. It was odd. It's like she just appeared one day, out of thin air. And it didn't help that she didn't talk either.
Heading to her room with her dinner, thinking about this girl. Just, who was she? What was wrong with her? There were no records of medical conditions either. So it's like she just doesn't want to talk to anyone. Maybe she never learned to talk, or maybe there was some form of trauma the doctors couldn't even figure out. Whatever it was, he hoped that he could maybe help her.
After entering her room, he locked the door behind him. "Hello?" The room was surprisingly big, almost like a small apartment. Since she wasn't a danger to anyone, she probably got this room to move freely and to have the doctors see if she would maybe make some sort of reaction. Placing her food on a table, he looked around. "Is anyone here?"
