It was especially on days like today that Ishizu was glad she never had to worry about the hot sun. The annual flooding of the Nile had just finished up so all the servants were very occupied with various tasks, all of which her father was making damn well sure got finished in good enough time. Still, she couldn't help but pity the numerous men and women that were forced to do all these and other tasks.
Her father meant well and he was one of the most charismatic rules Egypt had ever had ... but sometimes his temper could really get the better of him. And often, it was thrust upon his servants, high priests, or if it was really horrid, herself; though it was almost never the last option. And while she was grateful for that, she had a good guess many envied her, in a way, for being able to avoid her father's wrath ... among other things.
Just her general position and rank as his daughter was always something that Ishizu knew people were envious of. But of course, none could do anything of it.
"Not like I asked for it ... " She murmured softly, sighing as she continued to gaze out from her balcony down towards the busy city of Cairo. Her chin rested in her right hand as she continued to glance down, allowing herself to temporarily get lost in thought.
The young seventeen year old princess felt a few strands of her raven hair lightly fall forward, slumping gently against her left shoulder, concealing a few ceremonial tattoos her father had the high priests give her years ago.
There were arrays of them, mostly symbols, upon both shoulders and a few on her back.
Hazel eyes opened as a light breeze managed to find it's way and lightly caress her skin, causing a low sigh of appreciation and relief to pass her lips.
Ishizu would give anything to walk out and about into the town ... even if only just for a few minutes, but she knew her father would insist on going with an escort. And right now, that was the last thing she wanted. So her mind tried to figure out other ways in which she could pass time.
Alas, poor Ishizu was bored at the moment. Her gaze remained down upon the city, her focus on almost anything but the here and now ...
