At just a hair under 6'4", the somewhat muscular, red-haired Iranian was regardless dwarfed by all those he cared for. And although any of them could end his life in a heartbeat, if they so desired, he didn't mind, and rather preferred to spend most of his waking days with the inhabitants of the big cat section of San Diego Zoo.
Still, he wasn't foolish. True, he did enter the tiger cage after placing a large, raw chunk of meat in the feeding area--after that, though, he stood several yards away and looked around the thick, wooded area, smiling somewhat. Tanya always liked to play after eating. He couldn't see her, but she was within twenty yards of him, hiding somewhere behind the trees.
