Stream filled the extravagant bathroom dampening the plants and the stone around her, she breathed softly as she sat on a stone stool in the middle of a large tub, her moist skin shining in the light and her long black hair clung to her slender back, she brought a sponge up and rubbed soap over her arms and moving down her chest and legs cleaning herself up, she breathed in softly and spent a while bathing herself before stepping out into her sandals and wrapping a cloth around her to warm herself up and dry off, she put her clothes on after her personal servant came in and did her hair for her, a pretty updo that was rather simple, she walked out with her and down the hall towards Lyn's room, she held her head high and looked at everyone as she passed before moving into her room for an afternoon nap.

Zoe had always been good at her job. As a woman who worked in kidnapping it was pretty important that she lasted as long as the men. The payment to kidnap the young Egpytian royalty had been one that amused her and she had been glad to take the money, not telling the men that she knew the girl. Currently she wore her chest strapped down and a smart uniform that marked her a palace guard. She had been all too happy to steal her way into the castle.

It hadn't taken her long to find the girl's rooms but she was careful all the same as she prepared her escape. She didn't want to be caught and when she spotted the girl coming she was glad she had been so cautious. Her hair, long and curly and a dark brown colour was tucked into the guard's cap and she had smoothed sleep away from her brown eyes.

As the girl entered the room she hid, waiting. She would steal the girl once she was dressed, she had to at least allow her that.

She never came out instead she laid up the many pillows she had stacked on the floor in the middle of the room, she closed the mesh curtain and had her personal servant drawn the shades on the windows before she left and closing the door behind her, Lyn yawned and slowly dressed before laying back down and wrapping her arms around one of the pillows and easily fell asleep.

Zoe had watched inquisitively as the girl settled, waiting for the servant to leave before heading closer. The girl, still almost a child from the look of her, had been beautiful each and every time Zoe had seen her at the marketplaces and the castle. Now she eased closer still, finding herself worried how much she would be hurting the girl by taking her. Normally she didn't care and she wondered why this one worried her.

Still she edged ever closer, hesitating just the once before wrapping the girl neatly in her sheets and scooping her up, moving carefully and quickly out the window, keeping the girl ledged against her before dropping. She headed toward the cart she had, settling the girl in the back and clicking her tongue, encouraging the horse on swiftly.

As they moved she found herself planning her next step. The letter to the child's father. As the horses went on she began to formulate it, planning it out before she let the horses take over, riding on steadily and writing the letter, glad of the servant boy she had been assigned to send back. She had sent him quickly and moved to press on.

It was night when she pulled into her home, shutting and locking the gates behind her, praying the girl was still asleep.

Surprisingly she was still asleep but she did shift positions in the cart that she laid in, she breathed softly and pulled her blankets up more around her feeling a slight chill which would be mistaken for wind to come through the dark windows of her room, she wasn't as young as she looked probably around 18 to 17 years old but looked 16, with her slim figure and smaller chest she was light to carry.

Zoe hesitated a moment or two before carrying the girl into her home, shutting and locking the doors of the girl's new room. Even if the girl's father paid the ransom to her client she would not be returning the girl. That had been the deal and she found she liked the idea of it. As she cleared away the cart and shut away her horses. After a while of cleaning her home and changing her clothes, leaving her hair hidden for now, she headed back into the girl's room. She had locked her doors back behind her before settling to watch the girl sleep.

She was sure when the girl woke she would either panic and try to run away or cry. Something in her hoped the girl wouldn't be at all as worried as she was expecting. She hadn't wanted to hurt the girl but she did want the money and she had known fully well that there was no other way she would ever be able to keep the girl for herself. Something in her was telling her to wake the girl but she was content enough to watch the girl sleep for the moment, let her wake when she wanted, she had enough time with the girl.

She stay asleep for another hour before her eyes slowly opened while she rolled on her back and yawned softly stretching her arms up and sitting up, before realizing that she was on a mattress instead of her comfy pillows, she opened her eyes more and looked around before starting to panic, she then saw someone there and narrowed her eyes to see who it was, she knew the face but still she was in panic mode, she grabbed the nearest thing which was a candle stick and held it up in her hands ready to hit anything with it, she narrowed her tired green eyes and looked at her " I demand to know who you are and why i am here" she said in a commanding voice jumping to the other side of the bed and moving away from the form that watched her.

Zoe rose and spoke quietly as the girl grabbed the candlestick.

"Careful queenling."

She spoke softly, staying where she was even as the girl stood, recognising the panic in the girl's eyes even if her voice held nothing but commanding anger. A hint of sadness came to her eyes as she recognised what she had to do now. She had to tell the girl what was happening.

"Your in my home."

The words came slowly to Zoe, her words carefully picked to try and comfort the girl as best she could.

"You've been taken as a hostage."

She spoke quietly but quickly.

"The client who paid me left you with me."

A pause fell and she came around the bed slowly, realising the girl was scared and moving closer slowly, knowing she had to calm the girl and simply not knowing how.

"You'll be safe here queenling."

There was something close to respect in her tone and she was quietly spoken if a little rough toned.

"You won't be going home... and I'd suggest you put that candlestick down."

Narrowed her eyes at her and figured it was a woman by the way she stood and spoke, "i will not put it down and don't you step and closer" she waved it around in one hand pointing it at her and backing away from her trying to maneuver herself towards the door so she could make a run for it, she breathed softly and then braved it stepping forward quickly and swung the stick at her aiming for her head even tho she was 5`6 in height she was rather quick on her feet from a princess.

Zoe caught the stick in both hands, yanking it firmly free of the girl's hands and throwing it away from herself, ignoring the sound of it shattering. She didn't much care for trinkets and what she had was what her family had left her. A family she hated. Still she was annoyed by the girl's moves and moved closer to the girl, giving her no chance to move back before catching the girl's wrists, her grasp firm but gentle.

"Take a breath queenling."

She spoke softly.

"I won't hurt you."

She didn't want to but she knew if she let the girl go she'd most likely try to run and hurt herself in the process.

Tried to jerk her hands free of the woman's hands making any desperate attempt to get free by using her nails and legs to try and push her off, " let me go, you already hurt me by taking me away from my home, what do you hope to gain from this, i can offer you what ever money they paid you times 2" she almost growled out before pulling her hands free and standing there looking at the woman.

"Actually, you can't."

Zoe's reply was ice cold and she spoke roughly now, clearly angry. She had had about enough of this young royal brat bothering her constantly about going home. The girl was never going home and it made her angry enough that she snapped at the girl, seemingly cold now and hateful.

"Your father is a liar queenling, he's penniless."

She was glaring at the girl by now and she was glad she had been smart enough to lock the doors so the girl couldn't leave. Even with the windows she wasn't going anywhere, barred and locked.

"What I hope to gain from this is you."

Glared at the woman and stood her ground " i am of no use to you, and im afraid you were tricked out of just getting money " she was walking on egg shells here and now she pushed her way through the woman and went to the door and tried to open it, she jerked and turned the knob trying to open it and realized that she was locked in with this woman, she turned her head to the side slightly and cursed under her breath hoping it might open if she kept trying.

"Why not stop fighting?"

The gentleness of Zoe's tone betrayed only that she felt for the girl and she moved to gently rest her hands on the girl's shoulders.

"All you'll do is hurt yourself queenling."

She was never normally so tender with the girls she kept here but she had regretted her moment of anger and wanted to calm the girl and stop her doing herself harm, of any kind. She was unable to hide how worried she was about the girl as she added a softer.

"I'm not a monster you know...."

She pushed the woman off of her and looked back at her " do not touch me" she said and moved away from her and sat in the chair before she shirked in pain and fell in the chair, she had forgotten the broken glass and had stepped on the pile causing a large shard to embed itself in her heel as well as a few other pieces, blood was dripping slightly and she started crying mainly from surprise, she extended her foot out slightly and looked at the piece sticking out of her foot and the sight of blood made her sick, she groaned softly and reached down to try and pull it out at least.

"Easy..."

Zoe moved closer to gently tug away each small peice of glass, aware of the pain the girl had to be feeling and cautious to do what she could to ease the pain. She knew the girl was hurting and spoke softly, trying to distract her. She knew it had to hurt but all the same she wanted to know more about the girl.

"What's you're name?"

Her eyes were soft on the girl as she moved to gather up a couple of towels and bandages, wrapping the girls cleaned foot in the bandages, her touch gentle as she let go of the girl's foot, her touch soft on the girl's leg.

Watched the woman and breathed softly when she wrapped her foot in the bandages she didn't want to give out her name but it also annoyed her that the woman was calling her queenling, she thought about it for a moment before speaking " Lynxie " she crossed her arms and looked away from her and out the barred window

"That's a lovely name."

Zoe kept her words soft as she stood, heading across to the door.

"I'm Zoe."

She paused before exiting, watching the girl sadly and speaking quietly.

"If you need anything just shout."

All she wanted was to have a bath and change her clothing before she returned to check on the girl.

She watched her leave before getting up slowly and slipping her sandals on, she moved to to door and found it unlocked, she eased herself out and looked around to make sure she was nowhere to be found, she limped to the door then out the window before slipping out the front door and limped to the gates, she tried them but found them locked, she looked up then started to climb them wincing slightly at the pain in her foot so she pulled herself up to the top and flung her leg over the gates looking back at the home making sure to woman was trailing her, she was getting ready to jump down when she heard a slamming of the front door which made her snap her head back towards the house.

Zoe's men were heading out to pick up the boy and the ransom money. They had seen the girl on the gate and cheered wildly, speeding up before unlocking the gates, aware she was likely to fall and not caring. The cheering had drawn Zoe out of the house and she moved fast to the gates that had locked again, looking up at the girl and waiting, the motion of the gates had clearly unnerved the girl and as the gates shut they had shaken her loose, leaving her free-falling. Zoe moved quickly and caught her smoothly, smirking just slightly.

"I thought I told you to stay in the room?"

She could tell the girl was a little shaken and spoke softly.

"I told you I wasn't out to hurt you... so why are you so determined to hurt yourself?"

She crossed her arms and looked away like a child wanting to pitch a fit but she didn't say anything except "falling off the gate wasn't the plan" she stayed quiet after that and just let her hold her or carry her back to the house she didn't like the fact that she was caught, but she wouldn't of gotten far with her foot the way it was.

Zoe had carefully carried the girl back inside, slowly settling her back onto the bed, moving to lock the door again. "I know you miss him." She spoke softly. "Don't you understand that if you leave here I'll have to send the client after you?" Her voice was soft. "He'd have you killed Lynxie..." Her eyes held worry here now and she spoke softly. "At least here you're safe." She didn't really want to see the girl die and she hated the idea that she'd have to see her killed. "Am I really that boring?" She was teasing just slightly. "or mean?"

She sighed softly and leaned back looking out the window " don't you get it? i don't want to be here!" she said again and narrowed her eyes at the woman before turning around keeping her back to the woman, she didn't like being held captive like this and it was killing her that she couldn't move around freely with out going back to this woman.

Zoe sighed softly. "Trsut me kid, I know you don't want to be here... but it's this or you die... and I don't think you want to die... do you?" She spoke softly, not wanting Lynxie to hate her or lash out. She moved closer to gently touch the girl's hair. "Lynxie... little one... living here isn't so bad."

She felt hands on her hair and she immediately pulled away from the woman looking back at her like she was crazy for even touching her " why can't you just leave me alone" she snapped at her getting an irritated look on her face then turning away to look out the window.
