He had been away for some time now. Keeping in touch via letters and rare phone calls will strain any relationship. But this wasn't like most relationships. He had always been close to his little sister. Very protective knowing how his parents sheltered her he had always watched out and taken care of her. Both of them had changed as well and in a very literal since. He was in much better shape than before he had left. Much more toned and lean he also seemed to stand taller and carry himself with a more confident air. He was 6'1" 175 lbs of pure Army Infantry. Likewise she had changed before his very eyes as well having feeled out and beginning to really develop. He couldn't lie to himself he had notice...glancing into her room the door slightly cracked as he headed for the stairs in his loose boxers for a midnight drink. Feeling parched and restless...unused to the new but old time zone as he quietly snuck downstairs. There parents asleep he secretly hoped she would follow like so many summer nights before.
