Eudora thrashed and cried as she was dragged by the arms to the entrance to the dungeon. She had been accused of denouncing the goddess Aphrodite in her temple, and it was not true at all! She figured this must be some sort of plot from someone she knew who wanted to get rid of her, but her please didn't stop the guards from opening the heavy metal gate that was over a pit.
"No! No please, I didn't do it! Please don't!"
She heard the stories of the beast in the maze, she was doomed to die of starvation, or exhaustion or being eaten alive. There was a heave and she plummeted down into the darkness, colliding with the hard stone, the only light was from the shaft of the open trap door and with a final plea, she called to be released but...the door closed, putting her in the darkness.
Eudora climbed to her feet, shakily, her muscles aching from the fall, and she only stumbled through the darkness, wondering if there was an exit or if it was as desolate as she was warned. Likely she would die here...but Eudora wanted to at least try and find her way through.
She was dressed simply in a white chiton, but they had been torn at the knee. Her hair was loose around her shoulders, dark like the maze and her dark blue eyes struggled to adjust to the lack of light as she walked.
