The idea of her mother being married to a man she disliked had always annoyed Sofia Deshawn. She had stomped her way out of the house that morning in quite a mood and refused to go home until way after her lessons finished. When she had entered she had heard shouting and sighed as she ran upstairs to change, waiting for the screaming to stop before returning down stairs, most of her older brothers and sisters had gone out, leaving 16 year old Sofia to be alone with her adoptive dad.
She had been wearing small jean shorts and a white t-shirt that revealled a thin strip of her stomach when she reappeared downstairs and spotting her adoptive dad alone had moved closer to settle beside him on the sofa. She had been waiting on him arriving at school but clearly they had left her to get home alone. She didn't much mind and curled onto the sofa with her feet up after realising they were cold.
"How was your day dad?"
The girl asked, twisting her blonde hair back out of big blue eyes.
