So, I just made the mistake of checking out my Other folder on Facebook for the first time. It had quite a few messages in there, mostly from guys I don't know who are hitting on me, having followed me from different pages, I assume.

Most were the typical, "hey hottie wuts up" shit you would expect. But one caught my attention in a big way. Every time I try to copy/paste the format becomes a mess, so here is a direct transcript of his message. These were set over the course of three days.

The last message was sent about half an hour ago. I just blocked and reported him.

Anyway, it made me wonder if anyone here has ever gotten a creepy as hell message, from a stranger or someone they know.

Wow. ...Patrick Bateman has an FB profile?

I haven't gotten messages like that on FB but I once had an entire family I had no relation to, randomly send me persistent friend requests. Actually, if I'm honest, I think I'm one of those people who sends creepy messages to others. Is there an easy way to know if you're coming off as creepy/aggressive if people mostly just stop talking to you out of the blue? ...I haven't done much self-reflection about this.

I think creepy can be a relative thing, when it comes to sending messages. Telling someone on your friends list they look nice in a picture? Not creepy. Telling a person you have never met you want to cut off their face and wear it as a flesh mask? You are potentially crossing a line.
 
That beyond crosses the line. That is borderline fucking nuts. Good that you reported him.
 
Good on you for reporting that guy. I don't think I'd have handled it as well as you did. I'd have probably flipped out. xD

Hmm... There is a reason I keep my identity utterly private as a first rule here in my request thread. On a different role playing site someone learned my last name, then a couple months later wrote porn poetry. In which he said he loved me and was going to bring ropes of burning affection so that I'd be his forever.

Creeeeeeeeep.

He got banned, but, still a creeeeeeeeep.
 
The only weird message I got was from some kid who added me on facebook just because he thought I was cute.

No idea who he is just know he's a friend of a friend and told him to raise his standards.
 
OH gee that is creepy as hell.... I did not check MY other folder on FB just now either {LIES}

Anyway, I got threatened on FB to divorce my ex husband by this crazy bitch... it made me laugh SOOOOOO hard.

Please Note: I have only been married once and well he was sitting next to me when it came through. We both had a good laugh about my "secret" husband. When ever we get a hang up on our voicemail, we blame my it on him... bahahahaha

Even funnier is when I told her i was the wrong girl she still sent me a friend request, I declined. She messaged me one more and pointed out her profile pic which was of her, the guy and their two kids... that was the part I found creepy.
 
Woah, that's mental. Definitely needed to report that nutjob.

Back when I had a Twitter account, I was tweeted by this guy whose picture was him showcasing his gun collection. He first sent all my followers a message saying that I'm incontinent. When I asked him what the hell he was doing he hurled abuse at me, including saying that I'm a lesbian. When I pointed out that I am bisexual, a LGBT equalities advocate and I that felt that him using sexual orientation as a slur is offensive and a clear show of him being a close-minded moron, he then again tweeted my followers telling them I lick toilets. By that point I had enough of his pathetic antics that I blocked and reported him. Before I did so, I took a quick look at his timeline and saw that he had done the same thing to other people which he seemed to have his own grudge against. Needless to say, he is one of the reasons I decided to close my Twitter account.

Some people seem to have their own way of making them feel better by making other people miserable. It makes me really annoyed.
 
yeah that guy was super creepy... I'm not sure what was worse, what he said he wanted to do to you, or how horrible his grammar was... holy crap...

I have never gotten such a message to my knowledge, although have been added by people I do not know before, all were pretty harmless though.

It wasn't creepy, simply odd.

PenPals on the other hand... Yea, I had a couple... Not borderline psycho like that, but getting there.

anyway, naaaahh. i don't think i'm attractive enough o .o and i'm way too nervous to be so, um, forward anyway, even if i thought stuff as creepy as that guy did
 
I usually try to be humors with links around the site when welcoming a few people here or there. Directing them to if they are looking forward to requests by males or females.
Introduction area included of course.

Rarely do I throw out the occasional link to youtube with something pertaining to a funny welcome.

Thought this thread might be related... because how odd would it be if some random person just threw a ton of info at you?

lol, naw she was some hot model chick. We had a nice awkward conversation. Maxim was the company she was under I believe....don't hold me to that though... I know the name was something like that. Anyway, she wanted me to vote for her in a contest and well it led me to some kind of webcam site. In any case... she was a real girl... lol
 
I did get a weird message on OKC at one point. Some random guy messaged me saying, "You look like you'd be a freak in bed."

The weirdest message thus far was between another guy and myself, he thought i looked like someone from his past. I tried to explain to him that I've never been to MI. Some people are just adamant to the point of stupidity.
