Erik cursed the powers that were not knowing or caring for the time who to blame. He blamed himself because he should have known better, and he cursed the higher powers simple cause he was scarred. Though, most of all he blamed Sidney the man who kept the city in his side pocket. Erik had not moved out of the man's way while he walked down the street, and because he had not been paying attention called the man a buffoon. With Erik's great fortune instead of a rough 'reminder' the man decided to take a special interest in making Erik's life a sort of hell on earth. It started with him getting fired for submitting a work paper inaccurately causing a large accounting error. He knew he never sent it in, but could not prove otherwise, and upon returning to his apartment he found a eviction notice with less than three days in it. The courts had claimed he got the notice back months ago. Then for the grand icing on the cake his car, and most his possessions were taken to pay back state taxes he had properly paid.

Erik a good looking man standing at 6'2 with short clipped black hair a little freyed with all the troubles of the day. This would be his first night in an alleyway as he had nothing left, but the clothing on his back. A tan shirt clinging to a strong body meant to show off his muscles a little. His simple brown overshirt making him look better off than he was doing at the time. Clean blue jean pants that were loose around his legs able to hide most of his black boots. His simple black belt wrapped around his waist most had thought him ready for a job interview yet no one would take him right now. He knew Sidney would forget about him in a few months, but if he could survive that time was the question.

His dark emerald green eyes scanned the small alleyway knowing full well that the area was not really safe, but considering he had not been able to sleep much the last three days. He knew he would not be able to stay standing up so with some reluctance he created a small shelter to hide himself from view only to sigh, "How could it get any worse". As soon as he spoke the skies with a quick reply began to roil out promising rain very soon. Erik nodding his head as if to say 'but of course' tried to stamp his foot for what little relief it would offer only to have an exotic bottle fly from under his foot sending him flat on his back with a shattering sound not to far off. Erik did the only thing he could do at a time like this he began to laugh at himself.

Delilah, her name from Hebrew meant Pining with Desire. She felt herself fly out of her comfy bed and landing on the side wall of her luxurious home. A bottle she had been placed in by a wicked sorcerer when she failed to love him. Now her home shattered and broken she was homeless once again as she grew to proper size materializing in the darkness seeing a strangely dressed man. She stood in the shadows and watched him as he must have been the one to throw her bottle. There was no expression on her lovely face that anyone could possibly see as it was covered with a black lace veil. Her lower garment was made of black lace with shiny pearls attached to the design. With very little covering to her top other than a black bra matching her floor length skirt and a half jacket with short sleeves, her shoes resembled silver slippers.

She watched him with great interest as to how to go about demanding restitution of her now damage house. Where would she go in this bizarre land she found herself in. The noise from the street was unlike anything she had ever heard, nothing could compare not even the marketplace was this loud on a busy day. She covered her ears and her violet eyes scanned the area. Using her long black hair that was pulled up in the back held with a bow she pulled it over one of her ears and tried without much success to stop the horrible noise.

Stepping out of the darkness of the shadows that hid her view she stepped up to the man who was laughing. “What do you think is so funny? You have destroyed my home. You will fix it or I shall send you on a trip you will never forget.” She was neither angry or happy, she stared at him waiting for his reply. As she watched him she saw that he was good looking and she desired him almost immediately. “You may sit up now and kiss me, for I find you favorable in my eyes.”

Erik could not completely stop laughing now, but kept it more in control as he took in her every feature not seeming excited or much of anything for that matter. His mind seemed warped to him as he spoke more to himself than to her, "Delusions to taunt my mind on the first day in the street, least when I lose my mind I can spend it with such divine beauty." She was beautiful he knew as was her way of speaking, and the exotic garments she wore made him almost want her. Though, he loved another was his only thought for the moment. He knew now more than ever he had to get it together as if he became mad out on the streets he would not be able to reclaim any kind of life.

It took some effort, but he stopped laughing at his luck just wanting everything how it was before. Erik closed his eyes trying to calm himself maybe falling merely rattled his senses for a short time. He opened his eyes slowly to fall upon the spot she was, and found she was still there. He moved straight into a sitting position as he locked his eyes to her trying to figure out who she was knowing she could not be what his imagination deemed her to be. His mind came up with a few answers, but with her clothing it was not all very pleasant.

Delilah waited for him to stand up and kiss her. He had found favor in her sight. She wanted him. Still he sat up and quit laughing. She waited a little longer. “You do not find me in good favor?” She looked at him through narrowed eyes. “You are a trickster, yes? Are you related to the wicked sorcerer who bottled me up? Why do you not find me favorable? I demand an answer.”

She calculated his strange words carefully. “You believe you are delusional, why? Are you ill, do I need to take you somewhere to be seen? What is your purpose in this strange and noisy place. I do not like it here. Come, we must go to a better place.” She reached out her hand hoping he would take it or if he did not she would take his and place him somewhere suitable for them both.

“Am I not the most beautiful woman you have ever seen? Is my dress not pretty? My lips are like the nectar's of the gods, surely you must find me in favor, yes? You want to kiss these juicy lips, don’t you, you want to take me into your arms and hold me too.” It was not a question it was something she regarded as true. Surely he must see her as the most beautiful thing he has ever seen.

Erik looked at her for a long moment before speaking in a calm voice as if trying to clear his thoughts, "You may be the most beautiful sight I have seen in my life, but I care for another." He slowly then moved to his feet staggering back just a step before standing on his own. "Trickster? Sorcerer? I do not understand have you been drinking too much?" His hands moved along his pockets as if trying to decide what to do next. He did place his hands against hers pulling back as if stung when he found she was just as real as himself.

"I have no money... I am kind of completely out of sorts at the moment." He seemed to be on the verge of putting his arms around her, and running away his body swaying as he fought with his own thoughts about her. Erik then wondered if this was another trick of Sidney to drop him even further his eyes gaining a hint of suspicion as he spoke to her. "Tell me, what does such a beauty want with a man looking to rest in an alley tonight." He could not imagine a girl like her showing favor for him after such a week of disaster after disaster.

“Drinking? I have not been drinking, I was sound asleep when you kicked my home shattering it. Now, you need to fix it, in return I will give you three wishes, so tell me...what is the name of the one who has stolen your heart? Perhaps I can help you gain her love?” Delilah smiled softly. “A woman to woman discussion to help her see what I see in you, surely she would desire you more after our little talk.”

She took a step closer to him when he touched her hand and pulled away. “You say I may be the most beautiful woman, yet you pull away from me. Are you always like this when a beautiful woman desires you? Do you often sleep in this place? Where is your home, I wish to sleep there since you destroyed mine.”

She let his words soak in, and shook her head, “Do you not understand that I have been freed from my prison, and I must by the laws give you the desires of your heart? You tell me why you wish to sleep here with no comfort and no woman treating you with kindness? Truly this cannot be one of your three wishes? Are all men from this horrid noisy place so strange?”

He laughed lightly to himself, "Maybe I need a drink, already fantasizing about wishes comming true." Letting out a long sigh he shrugged lightly as he smiled at her, "Not that it will help any, but I was kicked out of my home been having a pleasant line of bad luck recently." He still felt like some great joke was being played on him. Erik watched her calmly shrugging, "If I had three wishes, I would simply wish the genie returned to me after I finish for three new wishes..." He laughed lightly as if to try to scare her off a little he continued, "I would feel sorry for one with such a fate wouldn't you?"

Erik did not really feel like laying out his love life, wondering if he would get a chance to see her again. He had never been able to win her favor he was not important enough for her he knew. Though seeing an opening to keep away from saying anything about her he spoke nervously, "I have a small problem believing someone like you would be so forward with a man with nothing, but the clothes on his back." He gave her a questioning look just realizing that she was in a dark alley with a strange man dressed like she was. He wondered if she was looking to be taken by someone. Erik started to back away toward the entrance of the alley.

Delilah closed her eyes slowly and smiled, he wanted a drink, he needed a place to stay, “Of course Erik, I will always come back to you. You are my destiny as I am yours, nothing to feel sorry for, is there?” she asked smirking. When Delilah opened her eyes they were no longer appearing to be in alleyway, but on beautiful thick colorful satin pillows in a tent filled with servants girls offering him every kind of drink in the world. “Take your pick, Erik, O’ breaker of homes and bottles.”

If he chose to leave the tent he might find himself on a tiny island surrounded by man eating sharks who would love nothing more than to have him for dinner. “I doubt you would enjoy leaving tonight, this is not a mirage, this is my second home. You are my guest and you are welcome O’ breaker of homes and bottles.” She smirked being a trickster as she was to those who did not believe. Now for the first time, she had tricked him, wondering what his reaction would be in the morning when he would see nothing but fins and sharks so close to the islands’ edge.

Erik sighed at first the welcome soft pillows under the back of his head seemed a welcome comfort it was a blink he had closed his eyes for a moment, and here he was surrounded. He nearly jumped out of his skin at the realization that this could not be real. He took a moment his body rejecting his wish to get up from the comfort of the pillows as he moved to leave the tent stepping outside a loud gasp could be heard, "How in the hell..." He almost jumped into the water thinking that would wake him from the nightmare only to see the large body of something dark flow across the center, and though he did not know if real or fake the fin he saw caused his body to revolt at the idea. "I can not be losing my mind..." He returned to the tent a little more slowly eying her as if she was some kind of monster for a bit.

Putting his arms out to the sides his voice calm as if a man who had made up his mind, "Fine I do not know half of what is going on with myself right now, but why torture myself if I am offered such a fantasy be it real or false." He grabbed a drink, picking something strong thinking some alcohol would settle his nerves nicely. "Yes, I broke a bottle not even on purpose, however what do you mean breaker of homes I have done nothing wrong to you that I am aware of." Erik was confused still, but was treating this like a dream as he attempted to pull one of the women with few drinks to his lap as he took a long draw on the one he had picked. If he was going to fantasize he would have however much fun he was allowed.

Delilah walked over to him and sat down beside him on a turquoise colored pillow. She was eying him too watching him as he took a drink of one of the most potent of them all. “You broke the bottle, it was my home until you shattered it, knocking me out of my bed and becoming homeless because of you. I have no home of my own other than here. Now I am yours and I will live with you, wherever you go I shall go with you.”

She sent the girls away with a whisk of her hand they all disappeared and the two of them were alone on the pillows. "Tell me why you find me so repulsive that you look at me like I was something you dislike so much? You broke up my home, isn’t it true that I should look at you like you were some horrid pitiful creature? You have not lost anything, you gained me, and I shall give you three of your most wonderful wishes. You want that don’t you? To have your hearts desires met without you having to lift one finger?”

Erik nodded his head as the women vanished in his arm shaking his head taking another long draw of the drink. "Seems an apt representation of my life so far, maybe I am just in the thinking if I touch you everything will be wisps among the fog..." He gave a light shrug as he felt the touch of the alcohol on his mind. He knew if he kept drinking he would start to act a fool however he was not quite sure he cared as he pulled off his over shirt leaving the black skin tight shirt that showed off his body, yet still kept him clothed. He laid back more comfortable feeling still a little too warm. His eyes followed her form for a bit as he smiled as if catching the thought of what he said.

"Three wishes, and then what you leave to some far away place with a new home? Free to skitter away, and then what have I gained I ask you a soft reprieve to make my torment that much better..." He seemed to have a smile forming on his face as if he was just spouting what came to mind right now, "Tell me, would it have been so much better to leave you in this home of yours, would you rather be there now delighting by yourself or did you have servants you could do away with on will with you..."
