The full moon hung proudly in the sky, providing light in addition to the usual streetlights. Ah, the full moon, one of the few times when a host is not needed. It was a beautiful night, a light breeze swayed the tops of trees, but wasn't enough to be chilly. It was the perfect April Saturday night, at sixty-six degrees and clear skies, one could not have asked for a better night.
The center of the city was bustling with night life, of people who liked to party and have a good time, and with people getting off late night jobs who are ready to go home. The city was a decent size, with two universities in the community and a booming business district, it provided as a home for many type of people. And demons. Demons prowled through the city, causing havoc, taking souls, just being demons. It was a fun city that was for sure.
Kiro walked down the pathway of the park, which was deserted this time of night and provided him some peace. He really needed to find a host, but had yet to find one that he had found intriguing enough. Tonight he didn't have to worry about that, the moon was his strength. He was wearing a white t-shirt that was partially covered by the black hoodie that he wore. His dark brown boots made soft thuds on the concrete as he walked, his hands hidden in the pockets of his dark blue jeans.
He let out a sigh as his golden yellow eyes took in the area around him. The pathway was lined with trees and bushes, in the trail part of the park that was away from the playgrounds. It was quiet except for the chirps of the crickets. Tilting his head back and looking up at the stars his lips curled into a small smile as he inhaled the crisp evening air.
Kiro appeared human enough, except his eyes were unnatural, he had an air about him that was different than others, and of course amongst his silver hair was a pair of pure white wolf ears that prevented him from appearing too human. And, if that wasn't enough, the full white wolf tail that was behind him was definitely a tell that he wasn't human. He liked being demon, he found humans generally weak and it frustrated him that he needed a host. If only there was a decently strong soul in this damn city.
He paused for a moment as his ears twitched, catching a sound that wasn't normal. He raised an eyebrow and the small smile that was on his lips faded to a straight line. It was footsteps, hurried one, like running. He started towards the sound - which was just down the path. Then the stench hit him - he groaned, immediately knowing roughly who it was. He smelled human, and then he smelled Korgan - a type of demon that liked to eat souls. They tended to only come out during full moons. Kiro hadn't run into one in a while, he couldn't help but be curious as to what soul it was after.
