Caelen moved around his room, trying to shove as many things in the suitcases that were open on his bed. Stopping in the middle of the room, he looked around, slowly fingering the short leash that was hooked to the collar around his neck. He wasnt owned by anyone, but he had wore that collar for ages now. His parents absolutely hated it due to the fact that they didnt want their son to belittle himself by wearing such an object of submission, but that wasnt why he wore it. It had been a gift from his twin brother as sort of a cruel joke to him, but Caelen had fallen in love with it the first time his eyes saw it.

"Where is my stuffy?" Caelen said to himself, looking for a small stuffed bear that he seemed to carry around everywhere with him. He even still slept with it slightly. Marching his way out of his room, he ran to his brothers room and burst in. "YOU TOOK MY STUFFY DIDNT YOU?!?" he growled, the fur on his ears and tail standing on edge.

Caedmon glanced over his shoulder when his brother burst into his room and started to yell at him like a maniac. Caedmon's own years folded back and he narrowed his eyes a little bit. "Tsk, why the hell would I touch your stupid little bear anyway?" he asked, shaking his head a little bit as he returned to folding up his stuff in his suitcase. His tail slowly swayed behind him. What nerve did his twin have, blaming him for something so silly. He shook his head again and glanced over his shoulder at his twin. They weren't identical, it was very easy to tell them apart, but they did share similar hair and eye color. Caedmon was about an inch or so taller than Caelen. And he hated the fact that their names were very similar. Both started with Cae. Their mother had thought it very cute. But really, it wasn't. "I don't have your stupid bear. It's not my fault that you are so irresponsible that you would lose it." And he couldn't believe that Caelen had actually started to wear the collar that he had gave him. He sighed and rolled his eyes.

Caelen started to tear up a bit at the thought of losing his teddy permentantly. Turning away quickly so that Caedmon wouldnt see his tears he walked out of the room. His tail slowly slipped between his legs and his ears went back as he went back into his room and started to look through everything. Fingering the leash nervously, his tears got worse at he panicked more and more. Caelen was one to panic easy especcially about things that he held dear. He was a bit of a worry wart, and sometimes a clutz but he had a good heart. Looking at the suitcases he had packed, they were full of unfolded clothes and shoved in things had he just didnt fold clothes well. He tried to rub his arm on his sleeve to diminish the tears but they kept coming.

"Such a baby, I swear," Caedmon muttered, shaking his head a little bit as his brother stormed back out of his room. He let out a sigh and walked across the hallway to his brother's room. "Did you look under your bed? In the hamper? In your dirty closest? Under the mess that you call a bed?" he asked, tilting his head to the side as he leaned against the door frame with his arms crossed over his chest. He was only being nice because he didn't want to share the same dorm room with his twin that is going to cry about his bear all year. His tail continued to sway back and forth slowly, his ears pulled back a little bit in annoyance.

Caelen flinched at his brothers rude remarks about his room before letting out a low hiss at him and pushing him out of the doorway before slamming the door, leaving his brother in a darkened hall. Locking the door, he ran over to bed and looked under it. His teddy was sitting right there waiting for him. "YAY!!!" he said happily as he grabbed the teddy, hugging it tight before stuffing him in the suitcase along with everything else.

Caedmon hissed right back before the door was slammed right in his face. Well, fine. See if he ever helped his brother again anyway. Shaking his head a little bit, he walked back into his bedroom and continued with packing up nicely. He, unlike his brother, would not have that wrinkled clothes when they got to their new private school. He slid his ipod into his pocket and his phone in the other. Then he picked up all his bags and carried them downstairs to wait for his brother. "He better not make us late.." he murmured, shaking his head a little bit with a small sigh, running his hand through his gray hair slowly.

Caelen shut up all of his things, grabbed his mp3 player and covered his ears with the specially made sleeve headphones that covered his kitty ears to stay on. PIcking up his backpack, he put it on before grabbing his bag and dragged it down the stairs. He followed the parents out to the car and put his bags in the trunk. He was glad he had his headphones in because his mother was lecturing him about how scraggly he looked.

Caedmon climbed in the car as well, glad for the music. He leaned against the window some and watched as they drove off to their school. When he finally saw it come into view, he couldn't help the small smile. "Ah, finally..." he muttered to himself. He was glad that he didn't have to worry about his parents for the whole year. The only downside was that he would have to share a dorm room with his brother. He let out a breath as he glanced over at him for a second. When his mother parked the car, he got out, gave her a quick hug and a kiss. Then he grabbed his stuff and headed into the building without waiting for his brother.

Caelen hissed at his mother when she came to give them hugs. He had never seemed to get along with his parents. Carrying his bags off to the office, he got his room assignment and key before going off to find the dorm. When he got into the room, he managed to drag his bag to the top bunk and sitting there with a soft shake of his hear to shake his ears. Taking off his earphone, he put them in his backpack before pulling out his teddy.

Caedmon took the bottom bed and glanced up at his brother with a small shake of his head. He sighed softly as he looked around. Then he went to one of the two closest and started to hang up all of his clothes. He didn't want them any more wrinkled that they were from being folded. He glanced up at Caelen and let out a small sigh. They might as well start to endure each other. They were going to be sharing a room for a whole year. They hadn't shared a room since they were little.

"I bought a chocolate bar yesterday on the way home and I thought that you may like some." Caelen said as he held out have the bar. Caelen wasnt graceful, or cunning, but he did have a big heart when it came down to it and it was sort of his way to offer an apology for slamming the door in his brothers face. His ears slowly tipped back while he watched him,"Teddy was under the bed, thanks." he said more as he waited for Caedmon to take the chocolate.

At the sound of chocolate, Caedmon's ears perked up and flicked lightly. He glanced over his shoulder at Caelen and blinked a little bit. He loved chocolate. Anyone would be able to win him over with chocolate, probably. He couldn't help the small smile as he reached out and took the chocolate from him. "Thanks and your are welcome," he murmured, nodding his head as the tip of his tail flicked back and forth. "So, it's like we are ten again...when we shared a room together," he muttered, crawling up the ladder at the end of the bed so that he could sit down next to his brother.

"That was fun. That was before mom got Steve and we moved to that big house." Caelen said as his ears tipped back a bit. He had never gotten along with his step-father because the man wasnt the nicest to either of them. "That was when it all fell apart." he said, munching on his own half of chocolate. "So, are you nervous?" he asked, fingering the leash.

Caedmon wasn't a big fan Steve either. He wasn't a bastard, but he wasn't the nicest person ever either. Steve thought it was time they had gotten their own rooms, that they were old enough. They were even sleeping in the same bed for the longest time. Caedmon was very close to his twin until Steve came along. "Nervous? For what, Caelen?" he asked, glancing over at Caedmon as he snapped a piece of the yummy chocolate into his mouth happily. He swayed his feet back and forth over the bed.

"Just in general. I mean, this is our first time being sent away for school. It will be our first time living without mom and Steve watching us twenty four seven." Caelen said as his tail swished back and forth lightly. "Ill try not to get in your way too much. I know that we dont really care for one another, but maybe that with change with time." he said with a slight smile before grabbing his bag and throwing it over the edge to land on the ground before leaping off his self so he could put his stuff in his closet.

"I'm more relieved to be away from them, to tell you the truth," Caedmon muttered, nodding his head as he watched Caelen unpack his messy suitcase. He laughed softly and shook his head. Honestly, he wanted to be around his brother. He wanted to be nice and friendly like they used to be when they were younger. He tilted his head to the side a little bit. "Why do you wear that collar thing? It was supposed to be a joke.." He really, honestly didn't think that Caelen would like it that much. There wasn't a day that he didn't see him wearing that.

Caelen blushed deeply and decided to give a half assed answer instead of the full. "I was something that you came me and its beautiful." he said as he fingered the leash. "It keeps a part of you with me wherever I go. I know we dont get along all the time but you were and still are the closest thing I have to a best friend." he said finishing his unpacking to turn and look at his twin

Caedmon blinked at what his brother was saying and he felt his own cheeks heat up in a blush. He looked away from him and let out a sigh, shaking his head. "You are so weird, Caelen.." he whispered as he got off of his brother's bed and laid on his back on his own. He glanced over at Caelen for a moment and then looked away again. "Most people are going to think you are pussy whipped or something like that. Or someone's pet. Which, I hope, that you will never degrade yourself that much."

"You're starting to sound like mom. I can wear it if I want. It was my gift and if you didnt want me to wear it, you shouldnt have given it with me." Caelen said before moving over and pushing his brother over gently so he could lay on the bed with him. "Plus, if I was gonna be someones pet it would be you. I mean, you're the one that gave me the collar." he said with a huge grin on his face, his ears twitching happily.

Caedmon felt his ears drop a bit in embarrassment at what his brother was doing and saying. He bit his lip as he moved onto his side, using one arm to hold up his head. His other hand reached over to run his fingers over the leash slowly. "It was supposed to piss you off and humiliate you...but no. You had to fall in love with it..." he muttered as he reached up to run his fingers slowly over the furry collar. His fingers lightly brushed against Caelen's neck. "You do look cute though..." he said before he could stop himself and blushed even more.

Caelen's whole face turned red as Caedmon started to play with the leash. He loved how close his twin was to him. His tail reached out and gently wrapped around his twin's waist. Reaching forward, he let his fingers run through his twins grey hair. "You dont need a furry leash and collar to look cute. You always are."

Caedmon purred out loudly as he felt his brother's fingers in his hand. He couldn't help it. He liked to be pet as much as he liked chocolate. He smiled a little bit at him, wishing that he had been this close with his brother at home...but...then again, that might have been a bad idea. Brother's weren't this close. But before he could stop himself, he was leaning over and then pressing his lips against Caelen's softly, his cheeks blushing. He didn't care if Caelen was his twin.

Caelen blushed deeply before slowly pulling back with nervousness in his eyes. He knew better than to let himself fall into one of his brothers scheme to embarrassed him had worked to many times. Leaping off the bed, he nervously wandered around the room for a moment before leaving it all together. He went down and out of the building. Walking across campus quickly, he found a small river with a garden behind it. Sitting next to the river he pulled his boots and socks off before dipping it into his feet. Laying back, he tired to close his eyes and collect his thoughts, slipping to sleep eventually. While in slumber land a rain fell in quite the storm soaking him and the ground around, but he just kept sleeping, dreaming of Caedmon.

"Caelen...." Caedmon whispered and let out a small sigh. He placed his face against his pillow and laid there for a while. When he heard rain, his ears flickered lightly and he looked around with a small frown. He wondered where his brother was. He hoped he was inside somewhere. He pulled out his cellphone to text his brother Where are you? he asked, sending it to Caelen. He hoped that the boy had his phone with him. He sat on his bed, his gray tail curling around his waist a little bit. He was worried and he didn't really know why. Normally he wouldn't care. But tonight...he cared and it was weird. And he wasn't sure if getting away from his mother and step father was good or not. He was starting to have weird feelings for his twin.

Caelen hadn't woken when the rain poured down on him. Hadnt woken when the river had risen and completely covered his lower legs and swept his shoes away, but the small vibration that occured from his cell phone woke him. "Shit..." he said as he popped to his feet and looked down at his soaked body. Letting out a soft whimper, he tipped his ears back before pulling out his cell phone and looking at the text. Coming home, he replied before starting his trek home. Reaching his room, he walked in, bare footed and drenched. Stopping in the middle of the room, he looked at Caedmon and let out a soft mew before a whimper
