Sebastian hadn't thought his best friend and lover would have turned out the way he had in the end. After all, Jace had been so full of life and had so much going for him when they had talked together on webcam. But after he had been forced to break up with him, Jace had gone downhill fast which had shocked Sebastian. He had intended to hook up with him again in the future once he'd made his debut as a writer. But when the time had come he hadn't known how to approach things. He had left him in the past without a word and knew Jace was probably hurting because of it. There had been nothing he could do though back then since his parents held more influence over his life than anyone else at the time.
Now that he was twenty, he had his life under control and didn't need the help of his parents. He was free to live his own life the way he wanted it. But he was afraid of how Jace would react to him trying to get back together with him. Sebastian thought he would understand if he explained everything but would he ever get a chance to do that? Not to mention the fact that Jace had gotten himself into some shady things which made him disappointed. He had thought Jace was better than that. But still, regardless of what he had made of his life, Sebastian still loved him. He had even made a shrine for him in a corner room in his basement that he kept under lock and key. Sebastian considered it a precious room.
The room was full of newspaper clippings, pictures, magazine tear-outs, video tapes and their old chat logs back from the past. Everything that had anything to do with Jace was in that room. He wondered whether Jace ever regretted leading the life of a gang member. Or if he was happy with it. Regardless, he couldn't be with him now if he was going to continue that particular life style. But he could give him a choice, to stay with him and be together again or ruin his life. Still, he felt guilty about leaving him all those years ago and that continuously kept him from trying to make contact with him. He didn't really know what to say to apologize for what had happened. No matter how he looked at it, it was his fault.
For not telling him the reason for the break-up. Not to mention the fact he hadn't intended on breaking up forever. But his parents had been like watchdogs when he'd been alone in his room, peeping it at random times to make sure he hadn't contacted Jace. Sebastian shook his head as he tried to forget about the past and concentrated on what he was going to do in the present. That was when his phone rang and he picked it up with a sigh. "Crystal? Oh yeah, I'll be there in fifteen minutes. So his name is Nova? Okay. I'll hold up a sign with the name." Sebastian hung up, grabbed his things and headed out to his forest green Honda. Soon after, he arrived at the airport and went to the arrival gate to wait for him.
"I should probably hold this sign up too." He thought with a sigh and raised it up into the air as people started to come into the place.
