Comming to the Nurses Aid (Wolvenrogue and NurseMaxine)

Robert was the night janitor at the Townline Medical Clinic in Westbridge. He had worked there 15 years and if the economy didn't force the small clinic closed, he would probably work there another twenty years and retire. In his time there he had seen many nurses come and go, but Maxine, the current night nurse was his favorite. She was always sweet to him, and brought him cookies on holidays, something he greatly appreciated as he was a solitary bachelor and seldom had anything to eat more sophisticated than Pizza or a big mac.

Besides being the janitor, he also served as the security guard. His huge size at 6' 9" and 230 lbs on his well muscled frame suited him well for the job.

Maxine had been the night nurse at the clinic for about a year now, and was at first nervous about being there overnight, but since she had met Robert, whom she called Bob, and knew he was always with her at night she felt safe. The man was agentle giant and imposing enough a man to scareaway anyone with bad intentions. She liked Bob and couldn't have been more diferent. At barely 4' 9" tall and 95 lbs, if she stood in front of him her eyes were not even as high as his chest. His biceps were as large her thighs,even larger. The cute redhead was 10 years younger than he was, and outgoing. Bob by contrast was shy and quiet. Maxine often wondered what his temper would be like.

"Hi there Maxine!" Bob said cheerfully as he followed the tiny nurse from the parking lot into the clinic as they both reported for another nights work. Robert went to the locker room, changed into his uniform and strapped on his gun. When he came out Maxine had busied herself getting the desk ready for the evening's activities. He went to the closet as he always did and got out the platform he had built for her and placed it behind the counter so that she could see over it. When he first made it, it offended her, but she quickly realized it was a very good idea, and now she wouldn't work without it. On the way by he gave her his usual cuddly hug. "There you go sweetheart!" he said. then he went to sweep the floors.

Maxine loved the hugs she got from the big, teddybear like man, his presence at the clinic made her feel safe being there hrough the night, and when things were slow she delighted in teasing him. She had signed in and prepared her station for the nights work. The teraffic at the small emergency center varied greatly. Some nights were terribly sleepy and this would be one of them. Since there seemed to be no traffic she looked over at Bob and called out "watch the door I'm headed to the ladies room."

"Ok", Bob called out to her. He set his broom aside and came to the front of the clinic and sat in his chair at the security desk just inside the automatic doors. From there no one could enter without his notice. Though he was not medical staff, he had enough experience to know what to do, at least until Maxine got out of the ladies room.
