Why ya wanna know?
"Dammit! Fuckity fuck fuck!" Bridget slammed her game controller down on the floor. Groaning loudly as she rubbed her temples, breathing in and out softly as she listened to the gunshots coming from her game. The score 25 to 15 and she had just gave the other team their winning kill. "Stupid halo....." The gamer sighed.

Picking up her abused video game controller before sitting it down gently on the coffee table. Standing up before walking to her Xbox360, clicking the power button with her toe before turning the TV back to normal cable. Taking a break from games to ease her nerves a bit.

Bridget tossed her lovely blonde locks over her shoulder as she leaned down and started cleaning up around her small apartment. Picking up empty soda cans and snack wrappers before throwing them away.

"Wonder where she is....?" The blonde muttered softly to herself, looking at the clock on her mircowave to see her roommate was a little late coming home today, but it was probably nothing so Bridget just shrugged it off. Starting to straighten up again, fluffing the pillows on the couch.

The teen was trying not to worry but...how could she not? Her love had her worried sick! Not only had she suffered through the heartbreak of their crush since who knows how long starting to date someone other then her, now she had to struggle with not knowing where her bestfriend in the whole world was.

Bridget picked up her phone and checked for any messed calls or texts. Nothing. The gamer gulped, now her roommate was over an hour late coming home and Bridget's crush was never late.

Bridget whined softly, being just a bit over protective over her love as she started dialing her roommate's number. Begging the other girl would answer her.

The drive home was a long one, especially with everything on Arcadia Ezard's mind. First she had woken up late and wasn't able to make her badly needed coffee, then the car ran out of gas on the way to work. Meaning she was forced to park on the side of the road and walk half a mile for a gallon of petrol. All of this made her late for her classes at the university, and was unable to take an important exit exam. Afterward Archie had gotten a call from her boyfriend and been told she was being dumped. The last part had been expected for some time, but it still wounded her pride to be dumped none the less. Why she had expected this from the guy was because she refused to put out for him. He was a sweet guy, and had waited for so long for something she had never intended to give him. Arcadia never had a mind to have sex with a man, or anyone for that matter. She was an intellectual creature and physical stimuli was not something she required. Never had Archie met someone that had made her interested in all of that unnecessary human contact. All except Bridget, maybe. . .

No. Arcadia have a sharp shake of the head and pushed all thought on that subject out of her mind. She already dwelled on the girl to often without intention, but consciously bring up the topic was over-kill. Thankfully she was saved from herself when her mobile started ringing in her coat pocket. She fished it out with one hand on the wheel then pushed the speaker button. "Yes? I'm driving so this better be important." Her tone was sharp but couldn't help it, she was angrey at herself and Bridget both. The girl had gotten under her skin and into her train of thought. . . Nothing was more annoying then human emotions. They were so mess and fickle.

"You better be driving home! I've been worried sick about you!" Bridget snapped through the phone, annoyed by her best friend's tone. She was scared to death something had happened to her and when Arcadia finally answered her cell phone that was the greeting she got?

The blonde girl was already mad over that stupid game and had been cleaning out of nervousness till the apartment shined and now she had started playing video games again. A different one, but it'd still make her mad. "Dammit!" The gamer cursed, her character missing the ledge they were supposed to jump on. Bridget growled and huffed like a child before realizing she was still on the phone.

"Uh...but anyway where have you been?! I already got dinner ordered your favorite; Pizza.

Arcadia didn't give Bridget an answer, just drove on with a solemn and slightly irritated expression. She had had a truly bad day and only wanted to curl up and go to sleep. A sigh escapes her lips as she listens to her friend go back to playing her games and forgetting she was on the phone. Though when she finally answered and started talking again a small smile spread across Archie's lips. Though she didn't answer the 'where have you been part', Arcadia did make a comment on the choice of food. "Great. Sounds good." This was her only reply as she disconnected the call.

It was only ten minutes later when she pulled up into her space and made her way to the front door of her home. Arcadia listened to the click of the dead bolt slide back and was soon to enter. The girl with dark, curly hair and fair skin slide off her coat and hung it up. Then while adjusting her clothing she went into the kitchen to get a glass of water, completely ignoring Bridget. She didn't feel her entrance needed a greeting so silently she got a glass of water and chugged it down.

Bridget silently watched her best friend, still worrying. Something bad had to have happened. Without even caring the teen shut off her game, not taking the time to save like she normally did. Arcadia was upset and she needed to fix that. When the blond girl came into the kitchen she frowned at her love. Her usual bright green eyes a dark forest green.

"Hun, what's wrong?" The tomboy asked, getting close to her friend so she wouldn't ignore her again. Arcadia knew she was always here for her, the gamer would do anything for her crush. "Please tell me what's the matter, Arcadia?"

When Bridget got to close for comfort Arcadia tensed everywhere and stepped away, clearly not wanting to be touched or surrounded by another person. She could feel the heat coming off of the other girl's skin and didn't feel like provoking the irritating emotions that crept under the skin of human beings. "Things didn't go as planned today, that's all," She commented point blank, telling the truth but not the whole of it. Truthfully being late and not able to take the exam was more upsetting to her then any break-up. He was just another person, that's all. One she didn't particularly care for but it beat being completely alone. Archie sipped the water again, keeping her eye on Bridget to make sure she didn't get any closer. She wasn't in the 'touchy-feely' kind of mood at the moment. Yes, she was being a bit rude but Bridget had been exposed to much of the mood-swings so Arcadia figured she wouldn't get too peevish over her current treatment.

The blonde girl was about to say something when the doorbell cut her off. "Pizza's here..." The teen mumbled before leaving the go pay the guy and get their food. Quickly Bridget did so, shutting the door with her foot before going back to the kitchen and sitting the extra large pizza box on the table. "Figured I'd get extra...for leftover's and stuff." Bridget explained quietly before getting them both a paper plate. Sitting one down on the table for Arcadia since she wasn't in a good mood.

The gamer popped open the box, smiling at the tasty scent filling her nostrils as she grabbed two slices and her favorite soda from the fridge. She never let anyone drink it but her, and if you were caught drinking one of Bridget's soda she might kill you. "Drink one of my sodas if you want, they make me feel better." Then she just left, going back to the couch to play her beloved games again.
