Caleigh moved through the woods and sighed, looking at the different types of foliage and writing down what she identified, making sure to pluck the samples and put them in a jar so she could make her nature scrapbook for her nature study class. The one thing about wanting to be a botanist that she hated was nature walks. Horticulture and flowers sure. Poison oak and getting scratched up by briars, not so much.
Caleigh was nineteen, a junior in college and was almost finished with her degree. Since this scrap book was half of her final grade, she had decided to take a weekend in the surrounding mountainous terrain to get as many different plants as she could. Humming softly, she picked a leaf then wrote it down in her notepad before deciding it was best to head back toward the camp sight to get some rest and do homework for other classes.
