So, I realized sometimes I come up with plots that could use some additional elaboration. The first of those is The Paladin, which has its own thread, but for all I know, I might need to do this more, and actually, there's one in my thread RIGHT NOW that could use elaboration!

First in this thread is High Score, which has its basis in something called The Game, which I'll explain in more detail below.
Let's start with the basics.
The World:
Some time in the future, the world is a dystopia. Technology is far and away better than ours for those who can afford it. The same is true of medicine, food, pretty much anything you can think of. Now, while most of the world is poor, it's not necessarily utter and complete misery; think of it as a more extreme version of the way things are now in our actual world. Another plus: generally speaking, world peace.
The Game (why):
Those in power are, frankly speaking, pervs. A long story as to how it exactly got that way, but the important thing to note is that they're debaucherous. After hearing of how miserable the people are, they decide to give them an out, and designed The Game. Think of it as a non-violent, constantly operating, sexual version of The Hunger Games. Players voluntarily register, and are rewarded for sexual debauchery. The incentive is that if they get to the top, well, they're essentially rich, and can also give back to others on the outside, though I'll get to that later.
The Game (how):
Players register at a local registration office. They're tested to make sure they're old enough, have no STDs (so that people can fuck with impunity with no fear of disease in The Game and do things without protection), and get a general test to determine how kinky they are at the outset. At that point, they are registered, get a subcutaneous chip that provides constant birth control to also prevent in-game pregnancy and also functions as essentially a locator in case the Rulekeepers need to intervene for any reason.
As for who can register, well, pretty much anybody, as long as they're old enough. The one I've spent the most time on with High Score had a limit of 16, though if someone is more comfortable with 18+, that's good with me too. You just let me know.
Every player receives a Comm on registration. It functions as a locator, cell phone, leaderboard tracker, GPS, information center, even a mobile shop. The Game also has elements of social networking, wherein viewers both in and outside of The Game can communicate, put in want ads, "follow" certain players (so that they can watch them at any given time) or send points.
Points are currency, as well as score. They can be spent on everything from food and shelter and clothing to sex toys, plastic surgery, and drugs. The more debaucherous (and sexy) the acts, the more viewers will send points, and essentially, the richer the Players get.
Here are the two different "styles" of Game I've done.
Non-Themed: The Game itself has 13 Districts. 13 is the lowest, and is an absolute slum. The Districts get gradually more opulent until District One, which is the ritziest of ritzy. In this version, every Game Cycle (usually about a month), the top 20% on the leaderboards in each District move up. The bottom 20% move down. Once a player is "Elite" (District 3 or higher) they're allowed to leave The Game to see loved ones and others on the outside freely, as well as send economic aid.
Themed (partially restricted): In this version, things are largely the same in some regards. The difference is that there's a distinction between District and Class. Class, a "stat" unique to this version, essentially functions how District Standing does in Non-Themed (Class Threes are Elite, etc.) The Districts, on the other hand, are thematic. Players can freely move to and from Districts (once they're Traveler Class) but certain districts are more expensive than others. A Traveler is Class 10 or above. Only Districts 10 through 1 are themed; the others are like 13 through 11 in the non-themed version. District options include things like:
The Realm (feudal fantasy type area)
The Corral (Wild West sort of thing)
The Dungeon (dark, gritty, S&M heavy)
The Great Blue (seaside area. beaches, mermaids, that sort of thing)
The Stone Spire (mountains/hot springs)
The Frontier (sci-fi, high tech, "aliens", etc.)
The Strip (Vegas, baby!)
The Academy (Boarding School type deal)
The Faraway (think Arabian, harem, etc.)
I'm completely open to other ideas/suggestions. Also worth noting: Players are allowed to live anywhere full time and it won't affect their Class, though they must be at least the Class of the District they want to live in. Vacations, however, are completely permissible for any Travelers or Elites at any time as long as they can afford it.
There is, however, a third option.
Themed (non-restricted): The above, only with every district being themed, and Traveler class not existing.
In-Game Slang:
Plastics: You may wonder, "How the hell can mermaids, elves in the fantasy realm, aliens, etc. exist?" Simply put, plastic surgery. The plastic surgeons in The Game can do things we can't fathom: change skin tones, add fangs, tails, change ears, that sort of thing, plus immensely improved skill at breast augmentations, face lifts, etc. Plastics are either freaks, Barbies, Kens, or some mixture thereof. Other Plastics make themselves up to look like ancient (read: current) celebrities, cover themselves in tattoos, increase flexibility to almost freakish levels, and anything else you can think of.
Stims: Stims are drugs that can enhance sexual performance, increase size of loads/explosiveness of orgasms, etc.
Rules:
No permanent physical damage to contestants or murder. Otherwise literally anything goes. Any kink you can think of is fair game, no pun intended. If a Player breaks the rules, they're immediately expelled from The Game...and likely worse.
