World information:

It's the space age, and there are lots of unknown things. However, some things remain constant.

Humans are every friggin' where, and you're one of them. That isn't to say you'll always be human, but...

You can expect super future space technology, magic, and psionics to all have a place here.

Due to the criminal nature of this world, all characters are capable of performing the Rogue class' basic Sneak Attack. It is reduced in effectiveness to +1d4 damage until proper training has been taken. This Sneak Attack Feature cannot become more damaging at any instance without further training.

Character Creation Rules:

Step 1 - First thing first, there are two new attributes that I am adding to this campaign, [Appearance] and [Luck]. Make sure to add them to your character sheet.

Step 2 - Second, you're an average joe. A plain jane. You're nothing special... yet. Still, there is something that sets you aside from all the rest. Choose three of your attributes. Those three will be 12, while the rest will be 10.

Step 3 - Choose your bonus feat. This feat will have an effect on gameplay, and may change who you are down the road...

This Feat is granted to you by DM's Word, and does not count against your starting feat count. It is mandatory, but it is also free. Don't complain about free feats.

Bestial Ancestry [Racial]
-Start with 2 Power Points.
-Spend 1 PP to gain a +1 Luck Bonus to any roll. Must be declared beforehand. Does not stack.
-Spend 2 PP to negate need for food or drink for 24 hours.
-Spend 2 PP to gain DR 5/- for one round.

Dwarven Ancestry [Racial]
-Start with 3 Tech Points.
-Spend 1 TP to gain a +2 bonus on Knowledge checks to discern the function of a mundane device. If it is magical or psionic, no magical or psionic functions will be discovered.
-Spend 2 TP to gain a +2 bonus on Use Overtech Device rolls for one round.
-Spend 3 TP to do an additional 1d4 damage with a Tech Power or Dwarven Weapon. (Max 1d4 per 3 levels)

Alien Ancestry [Racial]
-Start with 4 Energy Points.
-Spend 1 EP to increase movement speed by 10 for one round.
-Spend 1 EP to gain a +1 Attack Bonus for one round. Max Bonus is +5.
-Spend 1 EP to gain a +1 Damage Bonus for one round. Max Bonus is +5.

Elven Ancestry [Racial]
-Start with 5 Spell Points.
-Spend 1 SP to heal 1 HP of damage. Range = Touch
-Spend 2 SP to do 1d4+(Int Mod) magic damage. Range = Short
-Spend 3 SP to gain a +2 bonus to either Spellcraft, Knowledge (Arcane), Knowledge (Religion), or Knowledge (Nature) for one round.

Step 4 - Choose a class. Your options are the generic classes from Unearthed Arcana. Distribute what skills and feats you get from that class as you see fit.

In case you haven't noticed, I'm working off the Unearthed Arcana Spell Point Variant system. Since all Player Characters have some sort of Points, I will tell you their growth charts now so you can plan for Part 2, should your character make it.

Warriors have Point Growth as the Psychic Warrior class. They cap at 127. http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:psychic_Warrior

Experts have Point Growth as Wizard in the UA Spellpoint Variant. They cap at 232 Points. http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/UA:Spell_Points

Casters have Point Growth as the Psion class. They cap at 343. http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Psion

Step 5 - Fill in your character's appearance, age, weight, height. You will have no starting wealth or equipment, nor any background in Part 1.

Step 6 - Enjoy yourself, even if you lose. =D
