It just struck me I have been at this site about two years, and have enjoyed many a good RP, but haven't bothered to update my request thread since I joined. Since I've just got back after a hiatus, and want to get back into some serious RPing, I thought now was as good a time as any. So:
What can I offer you?
* I consider myself literate - none of that crap about "semi lit". I can tell a mean story, come up with original plots, and provide twists and turns. At times I'm capable of passages that can move you to tears or laughter. I have been RPing for two years, and writing prose for many more, having six published novels to my credit. And I have an appreciation of grammar and sentence construct, and how to use a spell checker.
And I know where apostrophes should go, (adn were apostrophe's shuldernt, hee hee).
* I'm respectful. I never leave a RP without explanation. If it isn't working out for me, I tell you, and willingly enter into discussion. If I have to be away a while, I make sure you know. I have never simply vanished without any explanation. I consider this basic politeness.
Neither do I push for any information that my partner doesn't wish to disclose. Your RL details are your own business unless you volunteer to share them. I admit, I sometimes flirt in OOC, but only if I'm sure it's welcome.
* I consider RP an art, worthy of respect. When I enter into a story, I give it my best shot. I don't do one-liners, unless it's that rare occasion when the plot demands it. And I don't god-mod, metagame, or push for the story to go just the way I want it to.
...and what do I demand in return?
See above. Simply show me the same courtesy as I give. Given the ethos here at BM, I can't see that being a problem.
So, what am I looking to RP?
I don't have a rabbit-hole or an f-list. For me, it's not so much a particular sexual activity or action that turns me on, as qualities about the character you are playing. Whatever your kinks are, I'll consider them. For me, part of the fun of RP is writing to a kink that isn't your own. There are some things I don't enjoy, which need not imply I disapprove of them, simply that they are not my thing. I trust I needn't state that I won't consider doing anything forbidden in the rules of this site. Please don't try to circumvent this by asking me to play them via email... the shota and loli rules are in place here for a very good reason IMO!
So, what sort of character turns me on in my RP women? Basically, it's:
* Clothing embarrassments. A woman's dress blows up on a crowded street. She's caught adjusting her pantyhose. She realizes after her important business presentation that her zipper was gaping open the whole time. Her bra straps keep slipping. Guess you got the idea.
*Blushing. Blushing BIG TIME.
*Shyness. Modesty. Lack of confidence. Clumsiness. Helplessness. Needing to be protected or rescued.
*Tears.
*Women / girls with little or no sexual experience. She need not be a virgin, just someone who hasn't been round the block. This is particularly sexy if it's an older woman who is embarrassed that her much younger bf is so much more experienced than her!
*Women losing in catfights with other women, and being embarrassed or humiliated about their loss.
*Some kind of minor bodily aberration that she is sensitive about. A birthmark, small breasts, skinny legs, whatever.
*Jealousy. LOVE a jealous girl!
*Female desperation or incontinence (NOT voluntary watersports)
*ROMANCE. Of course, it has to have the erotic in it!
I guess what it comes down to is, I much prefer the damsel in distress type to the confident dominant type, or the "I'm a dirty slut use me" types either.
Now, I realize that as fetishes go, these all might seem kind of mild. There's no BDSM edgeplay, tying up, forced sex, etc. I've played such things and enjoyed them (and flatter myself I've done them well), so if you want to play with me, I can happily accommodate your likes.

What I'm looking for is to do some stuff that's original. Nothing against the usual list of pairings (mermaid x pirate, master x slave, whatever) that you see on so many request threads. It's just that I want to try something new. I flatter myself that the ideas listed below are a bit out of the usual zone, literary wise... and if you have any other ideas, I'll gladly enter into discussion.
* In an alternate universe where certain people are born into slavery, a resourceful male and female make a bid for freedom, working their way across a hostile world where the slightest mistake could mean recapture, punishment, even execution. (this would work out brilliantly in a steampunk, SF or alternate world)
* A MILF and her daughter are bullied by another mother / daughter combination. This could go as a dom / sub thing, or a romance where the initial hatred grows into love, or even an idea where a male steps in and tries to help the victims.
* A reversal of the usual teacher / student thing. In this one, the teacher is the female, but she lacks confidence and authority, until she enters into a relationship with the class "bad boy", who helps her to grow into what she truly should be.
* (This is about as near as I'd get to a canon RP I'm afraid, since I'm not really into using other writers' characters) Two fictitious characters are brought to life, and have to function in our own universe - and cope with the mores, technology and norms of the 21st century. I'd love to play this one for laughs - remember, humor is truly the hardest thing to get right, and the most satisfying when you do!
I'd love to hear from anyone who is thinking along the same lines, and looking to push the literary envelope. Is there anyone out there up to the challenge?
