The throne was far from 'pleasant' in the view of a human. But when the opposite type of being was present, THAT being would enjoy the scene. The walls, floor and ceiling was designed by fur that was skinned from the mightiest of giant beasts that existed in the lands for miles. Wood played a supportive part but it reminded one of a hunter's liking. Of course, the King hunted many things. And seemed to enjoy harassing things that he simply didn't 'like'. Particularly the human kind that didn't like the way HE looked. Or any of his subjects that lived throughout the lands.
He of course made sure that whatever he hunted would be a sign of warning to those without the proper respect that he has earned. The king thus had a nasty habit of either placing the cleaned polish skulls on the walls around him, or keep them for 'better' use. In this case, this human girl that he took for his own. He sneered at the corner of his eye to where she was. Far below him not 5 feet away. His black fur would naturally 'flow' with the wind and it was darker in parts that were naturally covered up. Such as everything between his waist and his knees. His head's hair kept the human traits that would allow it to differ itself from the fur all over his body. Same with a apparent beard.
