"It was only natural," Jade thought to herself. "Everything's going to be fine," Her entire body numb but she could still feel her heart aching. She sat in the corner of the room, her legs hugged to her chest as she stared down at her knees. Every now and then a tear was roll down her cheek, hitting to the corner of her lips, the taste of a tear all too familiar for her. Her forehead rested again her knees, sighing in deeply she almost went it a dream.
Jade had just lost her brother in the Marines. It was a sudden, almost unexpected event. Sure, he was in the Marines. But it could never happen to her family, or so she thought.
Her brother was her rock, the man who took care of her when she was little since her father had up and left them. He was her everything.
His friend, (?). A long time friend, who Jade knew most of her life was with her brother the moment he had died. Was just as devastated but knew what he had to do. He would do what Adam had set out to do, take care of Jade. Which wouldn't be hard for him. Jade and him, always had this sort of attraction. A magnetic pull. Hell, he had even took her virginity.
Jade lifted her head back up, her phone vibrating against the cold hard wood floors. Her body shaking as she reached to it, picking up the phone and seeing who it was. It was him. Her heart sunk.
