It was around 3:30 in the afternoon, the usual time when sisters Alexis and Bridget would take their dogs out on a walk. Alexis was the older sister at 19, and she had prefered to walk their Siberian Husky, Marley, who was usually the one that needed to be held back from pouncing at the other dogs they ran into along the way. Alexis had short chestnut brown hair that came to her shoulders and bright hazel eyes. Since she had just recently gotten home from her gym class at school, she didn't bother to change out of her uniform, which consisted of a simple blue t-shirt with black nylon shorts, both having the school name and symbol. Bridget was only younger by a couple months, and she would turn 19 in a week. She was currently walking their German Shepard, Ceasar, who compared to Marley, was much more calm. Like her sister she had brown hair and hazel eyes, though it was much longer and she opted to tie it in a ponytail for now. She had been at home earlier waiting for her sister to get home, so she had gone out dressed in a pink tanktop and white short shorts. Their usual walk went around the block with a little time at the park for Marley and Ceasar to interact with some other dogs. Usually, they didn't spend longer than an hour out of the house.
They had gotten back home as the sky was getting more orange from the sunset, having worked up a light sweat. They stepped back into the house, removing the leash from the dogs' collars before letting them run about in the house again. "Ah...sometimes I wish you would walk Marley instead of me. I can only run along with him for so long when he goes for other dogs..." Alexis sighed softly as she plopped down on the couch, taking a sip of her bottled water. Bridget had stayed with Ceasar, scratching gently behind his ears as she listened to her older sister complain. "Aw, but I think you're best suited for the job, especially when you've just come home from your gym class. You should be in perfect form for running along with him." "And you could you a little more exercise once in a while." Alexis muttered, envying her so much. Oddly enough it did seem that Marley prefered to stick around with her, as Bridget probably wouldn't have been able to hold onto his leash. Ceasar was always getting spoiled by her, so perhaps that was why he tended to follow her around. Bridget glanced over to her sister, still playing around with Ceasar's ears. "Well, you have all the time in the world to rest up. It's the start of the weekend, which means you get to spend even more time walking Marley. Lucky you!" Alexis sunk a little in the couch as she heard that, which meant she'd have to make sure she got her homework and household chores done soon. She was going to be in for a long weekend.
