Was the world coming to an end? No. It can't...Right?
She thought utterly confused, and roaming the once flooded streets. Now bare and empty. Filled with nothing more then air, and loose papers, and random looted items. Left over from the spontaneous raid, when this foreign threat instantly, and without warning graced her city.
The young woman found herself being snapped back to reality. As air raids sirens begun to que up. Telling her this wasn't a nightmare, this was happening..But what was this. in question?
The last news report she was able to see, before she had lost power and heard as if it was all planned like that...A huge booming voice. Come to center of the city. No doubt from a man in the choppers over head, which a megaphone...
That they were being invaded by creatures, fly humanoid beastly things. They already had several city states, under their thrall. Was her city to be the next, to fall? She shook her head, wanting to wake up. Still a bit out of it, she kept bad hours as it were, she awaken as many others in this city by a concussion from a deadly explosion.
Still in a stage of sudden shock and denial.
....Awaken with a start, wasn't a good way to start her late day...Or early morning for her. Then to add awaken alone, her friends already packed and gone. They had even bothered to wake her. She did wonder, what could it have been, that made them flee? Cuz she awoke to sudden attack upon the city, when they left hours. In which she could bet money on, and win that bet...It was hours before they actually arrived.
Feeling a painful chill, she pulled her coat close to her person. Then quickly hastened her pace, to the center of the city, as told. Evey so often she turned her head, down the road. That would once be flying with cars, taxis and bus, for other aimless alots...But nothing.
It was starting to get creepy now...She wasn't actually a fan of the whole Apocalyptic theme dramas, but was fully aware of the concept. Yet never would she dream, that it would be fiction in her life time. She wasn't a fool. She had seen the way human race was going it would happen soon or later, but she hoped it would have been free from her life time...But was surprise to see, it wasn't her kind that made this, war? If that is what you wanted to call it...It was done by Them Yet again, leaving her to question..who were these, them?
Not breaking her pace, speeding up actually...She pulled her hood tighter to her person. All she could hear was the one echo her booted heels and her shaking breath, as her fear started to become known and starting to accept this was reality...
As her heart raced, as did her mind. The young woman started to hear strange sounds, all about her. Clickings and if you wanted to stench it, what she could imagination would be insect like, if magnified. Well it was stated on the last news report she heard, they were beastly..animal. She wasn't sure if she wanted to believe what new said just yet. They always were lairs made more hype over things..She choose to not pay mind to these sounds then..Her mind playing tricks, in her most weakest hour..
Don't pay any mind to what ever you hear. It may be the invaders, may be your active mind...JUST GET TO WHERE THEY TOLD YOU TO! She kept saying to her eternal thoughts..
