Kate was sent a file from one of her Bosses on the upper floors, it seem that one of the Firms prize lawyers is having a losing streak an they were hoping that she would look into the matter an do what she feel is need to change thing around.

Wow this Ted guy is an overachiever and he has been working a lot of hours and putting in a lot of over time, which made her wonder if he even left the office. he does not come out to firm events, retreats, even the weekly karaoke night he did not go too. what that last one she could understand Jill from accounting sounded like a dying cat in heat when she sang.

So it look's like she was going to have to pay Ted a visit and see for her self what she had to do too make thing right again. So she marched her way over to his office and had a look around to see what it was like and too make an introduction.

"Hello Ted, I'm Kate your new personal assistant that has been assigned to you for how ever long the management feel that I'm am need here for." she said with a warm smile, she look around to find a chair to sit in.

" Now I hope you don't mind, but I like to help you right away and maybe you could tell me what your working on so I can help you out?" she ask as she look him in the eye, he look like he has not slept at all for the last couple of days.

she was just guessing right now, but it would all come out sooner of later.

Ted had pulled yet another all-nighter. The pressure of winning cases was starting to get to him. He usually put in 110%, but he had lost of a couple of cases recently and it was starting to affect his performance and social life. The District Attorney was hounding him for testimonies on his most recent case and most of his witnesses refused to reply back to his calls. He had gotten a total of maybe four hours of sleep last night. He only had enough time to shower this morning before walking into work.

A delightful surprise walked into his office today in the form of a new personal assistant. He'd always refused having one as he feared they would lose his files. Kate assertively took control of the situation and made herself comfortable before Ted could even protest.

"Hi. Umm, I guess you could... umm. I'm sorry, I don't really have anything that doesn't need to be done myself. I guess you could take any calls should they arrive?" He said giving her a helpful look.

She was definitely attractive. He sneakily gave her a lookover while looking over one of his files. He had enough distractions as it was, and he didn't need to be the subject of some office scandal.

Kate had dealt with Ted's type before, he had to micromanage even single little thing, he was on the road to burning out if he did not stop for a moment. an he was even worst condition then she was lead to believe, she could smell the body odor that he had, he look like he was not eating right, and was living off cheep take out and energy drinks or strong coffee.

She had to step in and stop his downward spiral.

"Ted You do know that I have work with the upper management on some of the most important cases that our firm has take on, I think I can handle the your files just as well as you can." she said as she took the papers he had in his hands away from him. She knew that it was not going to stop him, maybe not even slow him down, but to was going to throw him for a loop and she just needed a moment to get threw to him.

" So what don't you maybe take a break for an hour and get something to eat, while I sort threw your files, I promises you that you will be happy with my work." she said as she made sure that he was not going to try to convince her other wise, he maybe stubborn, but she was crafty. so then scooted him out of his own office and closed the door on him.

an with him out of his office she could snoop around and see just what it was that he really needed. She was not the Top personal assistant at the firm because she slept with all of the partners in the firm, she had skills too. So she could snoop and do her work at the same time.

Taking the files out of his hand, flabbergasted Ted. Who did she think she was? She was delaying him from getting his work done! This was an important case for the firm! Kate then somehow managed to get Ted out of his seat, and then out of his door. He had forgotten to take his briefcase as he was being shoved out of his office, but was surprised to find it was locked. He was beginning to fear he may under watch. Were they going to fire him? He sighed and chalked it up to over-stressing himself out. He had only lost two cases, not multiple ones. He sighed, noting there was nothing he could do and decided to head home.

"What a quirky girl." he muttered before entering the elevator.

When he got home, he took another quick shower and ate some ramen noodles for a quick lunch. He was only a five minute taxi ride from the office, so he figured he would take a twenty minute nap to power on through the rest of the day. After waking up, he casually stretched, looking at the time. He had overslept... by six hours!

"7:30?! My boss is going to kill me!" He exclaimed as he jolted awake; rushing down the stairs to hail a cab. At this point, everyone would be leaving the office. If he hurried, he could get in before the doors closed and pull another all-nighter. Ted had become furious with himself as he slapped his face a couple of times to wake up. Thankfully, he left most of his stuff in his office, when Kate pushed him out. He had totally forgotten about the new girl as well! The poor girl must be fuming at him for leaving her there alone. She probably stormed off by this point too. He'd made a mental note to make a call to the florist tomorrow as an apology. He finally arrived at his work, before the doors closed and rushed up the stairs to his office.

"I've got to stop taking naps." He muttered as he unlocked his office.

Kate could get a lot of work done in an hour, so having six hours was more time then she need to snoop around and get Ted's files in order, but she also learned a lot about Ted an his work and she notice just how badly his work was sliding downwards, yes he lost his last two cases, but she saw how the cases that he had before his losses were what one might call near wins. The cases he had were a shut and closed case, you have to almost try to to lose on purpose, but he did not, but it was all there in the case files in black an white.

Hell she got so caught up in her sorting, filing and reviewing that she did not notice Ted opening the door to his office., but it was not like she waste her time or his. she had all his file ready to go in nice neat little piles, sorted by dates, names and matter of importance to the case. She was good at her job.

She then turn around to see Ted

"Hello Ted, I hope you enjoyed your break, I took the time to sort you files as I thought you might like them sorted, an if you like, I can order us a late dinner if you are going to work late?" she said with a smile, she was not going to let a extra long lunch break get her mad, she was sent to take care of Ted and make sure he did not over work himself to death.

Ted was surprised to find that Kate was still in his office. They had to have been the only two souls left in the building at this point. He noticed how neat his office looked for the first time in months. She definitely had the organizational skills necessary to counter Ted's natural disorderliness. A look of bewilderment and joy appeared on his face when looking at the neatly placed files. He sifted through them for a few seconds and smirked. His work would be a lot easier tonight.

"That won't be necessary Kate. I'm not even hungry. And you've done enough as it is. Why don't you take off work like everyone else? You've earned it. I've got to catch up on the hours I missed anyways. Besides, I'm awake and ready for work now. Thanks for all your help though, goodnight!" Ted said as he buried his nose into one of his law books, trying to find the loopholes and other defenses he could use in the upcoming case.

"I wonder if... no, that wouldn't work." He muttered to himself aloud.

Stubborn just like she thought. Well if he was going to stay, she was going to stay, she had to make sure he did not over do it and pass out in the office.

"You know it it's quite alright with you, I'm going to stick around a bit, you might need a second set of eyes just in case you miss any thing." she said as she as she went to her desk that was out side of his office.

She did not know how long they were going to be there for, so she might as well order them something to eat, at the very lest she could put it in the staff room fridge till they were hungry.

So she made a call to order some roasted chicken, with a side of steamed vegetables and baked potato fully loaded.

Then Kate wondered if she might see Bazyli tonight, he was the Polish night Janitor and he was a sweet man, but more to the point, he had the most impressive polish sausage between his legs. Probably not

The hours passed on as Ted kept a studious focus on the books and files before him. His sight started to get blurry as he rubbed his eyes and then stretched his arms out with a yawn. He checked his watch and it read 12 AM sharp. He had been in the office for yet another four to five hours. He got up out of his chair and decided to walk around the room to get his blood flowing. A little exercise would do his brain good. He almost tripped over himself, when he noticed Kate was still here. He couldn't help but feel responsible for her overstaying as well.

"Kate?! What are you still doing here? If fact, what have you been doing this whole time to keep yourself occupied? Nevermind, you should go home. It gets dangerous around this time at night. Here, let me give you some cab fare." He mentioned as he reached for his wallet, taking out some cash to hand over to her.

"Take this, and get some rest. I'm the lawyer here, I'm the one who's supposed to be spending his nights without slumber, okay?" He said as his voice echoed through the halls of the empty firm.

It was sweet that Ted was trying to be all responsible for Kate, but she was more responsible for him then now then any thing else.
She was hoping to avoid having to use more strong arm tactics, but she was not going to get anywhere by using the Carrot so it look like she was going to have to resort to the stick.

"Ted, I hate say this, but I have a lot more authority in the firm then you think I do and while I hate to use it, I feel that I'm going to have to order you to take the next couple of days off, your cases will be reassigned to some one else while your away, an I'll be in daily contact to make sure your are resting while your on leave. Cause it's either this or we have to let you Go from the firm." She said in a stern tone, an she was not joking either, she was adamant about what she just said and she was not going to let him keep working him self to death.

"Now either your going to leave here with me or do I have to force you to leave?" she ask him know very well that she could take him in his weaken state.

Things suddenly took a grim turn as Kate revealed her true nature. Ted knew there was something more dominant about her than met the eye. He could understand cutting his workload, but forcing him to take a few days off? He had worked too hard to get to this point. Whether it was Kate's matter of a fact tone or his fatigue finally catching up to him, something finally snapped in Ted. The loss of his last two cases, and the exhaustion from the amount of work he was putting into this trial had made him too prideful to just back down.

"You're just going to give my case to some shark waiting to sink his teeth into MY commision?! No way! I've worked too hard to just give in to some random screening bullshit. There's no way Johnson would let me go anyways! I'm too valuable an asset to this partnership to just be let go. Whatever happened to hard work huh? I bet you're just some lady who comes in during the darkest hour in some employee's struggle and doesn't stick it out to see their potential." he huffed as she confronted him.

"Also fuck you, I'm going back to work! You can tell your superiors, I'm here to stay." he scowled, barging back into his office.

Well it it look like it was going to be a game of hard ball then, good cause she knew how to play this game as well.

When Ted turn his back towards her she simple grab his arm and twisted in behind his back, she knew that he was too weak and tired to fight her off, but even if he was at full strength, she had a few tricks up her sleeve when it came to dealing with men.

She then force him into his office and bent him over his own desk and held him there.

"Ted, I told you to take time off an yet you refused an order from me, so I'm just going to have to punish you for talking back to your superior with such nasty language like that." Kate said as she grab a ruler on Teds desk and got ready to spank him with it.

"Now I'm going to give you one more chance to do as I tell you, but if you don't there are going to be consequence." she told Ted hoping that he would see the mistake he was making, but she was so hoping that he still be the stubborn fool that he was up to this point, cause she was wanting to do this for a while now.

As Ted was in the middle of storming to his office, he felt a sudden and tight squeeze of his wrist as his arm was torqued and pressed into his back. He could have done without the face slam on the desk, as it left a small bruise on his forehead. He tried to wriggle out of it, but his fatigue kept him from making any progress. The slightest movements Ted tried caused intense pain of the pressure point in his wrist. He watched Kate grab a ruler out of his supply desk. He started to regret having one, he never used it other than for paper clips and staples.

"You forgot the golden rule in a law firm. Everyone wants to sue. I'm putting you down for Assault and Battery. I will get you fired for how you're handling this." Ted said excruciatingly through the pain.

"An a sexual harassment is worse, cause that going to go on you work history. I just have to tell the judge and Jury that we were working late tonight and for some inexplicable reason you started to make advisement towards me and tried to force your self on me and I defended my self. So tell me do you want to go down that road?" she said knowing that she had the upper hand.

"Now your going to do as I say or your going to be in a lot of trouble, cause I can make your life easy or I can make it hard, an remember I have a lot of powerful friends in the firm." She threaten Ted, she was not sure what she was going to do next with him, she thought about maybe making him do something humiliating, but that was not her style, well not always, she like to mix thing up all the time. Tonight she was just going to make him go home an sleep and relax.

"Okay this is the deal, your going to go home and tomorrow we are going to meet for lunch and make sure that you are getting the proper rest and relaxation you need to get your work done. then we will talk about you coming back to work." she said as she let him go, to go over to the phone to call him a cab to take him home.

she on the other hand she was going to go up to the penthouse suite to get some rest. after all she knew all the powerful people in the firm and knowing them granted her a lot of special abilities, like use of the penthouse suite in the building.

"Alright, alright. I give." Ted said defeated. The last thing he needed was some sort of scandal. Kate finally released her grip on him as he sighed and picked up his jacket. She called him a cab and he grumbled as he left the building. He didn't know what to expect next. All he could do was hope for the best. He sluggishly entered the cab and watched the streets as he went home. When he got home, he noticed a man in a hooded sweatshirt freezing outside of his apartment complex.

"Spare some change?"

"Sure. We all need a little help now and then eh?" Ted said, giving the man a five before he walked up to his room to get some shuteye.

He awoke around eleven o' clock and took the longest shower he had in a while. He dressed up in a matching brown suit and tie and headed to work. He was dreading meeting up with Kate, but she held all the cards in her hand.

Kate made sure to text the address of the restaurant she wanted to meet Ted at as she wanted to make sure that he knew where to find her and also that he had a proper meal an see him eat one, cause she wanted to make sure that he was gong to take care of himself, an if this meant micromanaging him, she would do that.

While she waited on him, she order her self a coconut milk to drink, as she was still on work hours and she did not want to risk getting into trouble, not that she did not mind getting into trouble every once in a while, it just all deepened on what sort of trouble it was she was going to cause or get into.

All she could do now was wait for Ted to show up,
