On a cold October Night... (BitchXQB)

Autumn rains were the worst part of October: the wet and cold conditions often made sleeping out miserable, particularly if the sheltering was decrepit and makeshift which, at this point in time, was quite common for the little street girl. Despite her tough stature and equally outspoken attitude, she seemed weak as a kitten coughing harshly. Eddie and his cronies had just smashed up her little alcove, roof having caved in even as moisture dripped from above. They even stole her stove and what little canned food she had left. Mr. Evans was out of town, so there was little chance she could stay over at that kindly elderly woman's home.

Edwin, otherwise known as 'Eddie' had long wanted to scout her to be one of his 'friends': a pimp who worked at the seedy underbelly of the city, with mob connections he was always ready to find fresh meat on the streets. In fact, there were a few other runaways under his care, often drugged out with heroin before being sent to a client who had a fetish for school outfits. Either way, the street girl had been hard at work trying to elude the pervert, even though his attempts grew more and more brazen.

Life on the streets was hard, especially during these Autumn days. Even though it helped mask the fact she hadn't bathed in quite some time, a cold would be developing, very soon. And with only a dull switchblade left as well as the clothes she had on, there was very little choice. What should be used as a defense against that pervert could very well double as a weapon, perhaps to threaten or intimidate some square walking back from working. And as it so happens, a man by the name of Nathaniel was walking down the street, holding his umbrella aloft. He showed no signs of unease even as he walked alone in this unlit part of town. It was his normal route, up until now he had never met any other interloper aside from Crazy Pete, that Ukrainian man who was always talking about things and the voices in his head. And even though the man was not there, he didn't seem to mind the Street girl one bit...

Alice shivers, and pulls on her ragged leather vest over her plain brown shirt, wearing skinny jeans right now and some old sneakers that pinch her toes she walks after the man as if she were going in the same direction.

Alice has had a hard life, been on the streets since she was 14, ran away from an abusive mother, never knew her father. Little
Alice Faraday is 16 years old now, has a ragged kindof short red hairstyle, and piercing eyes that catch you with her unhappiness if you look directly into them. If the girl had a good home, and wasn't moving around all the time and stealing and hiding from that horrid pimp Eddie, she would be one of the girls alot of the boys went after. That is if she lived in a good house and had food all the time and normal teenage clothes. She sneaks up behind the man casually, silently with the quickness of a cat and swiftly take his wallet out of his pocket, removing all his money and credit cards then slipping it back in and turns, trying to slip into the shadows before he feels the lightness of the wallet, or realizes he was robbed. She does jump people too, had a silver dagger she likes to keep close to her so it is in her bra, easy to pull out, but if she can sneakily steal, that is always better.

Nathaniel was whistling the tune to shadows in the rain, quite oblivious to the figure that walked close to him. Her footsteps could not be heard from the sound of raindrops hitting the floor, though he did feel...something fiddle around his pockets, prompting him to turn around only when it was too late. "H-hey! Stop!" he called out, trying to chase over to the corner, unaware that she had been long gone...

The man sighed, though he didn't care much: all he had was a debit card and a few bills numbering no more than thirty dollars. He would have to report this, but thankfully he kept everything else in another pocket. After all...he was prepared for just this kind of thing!

However, a familiar figure walked closely, his wise-cracking smile bearing a cigarette as he stood with an umbrella over his head. "Eyo, Rabbit." whispered Eddie, "Lookin' for a hole to hide in? My offer still stands: I'll clean you up and take care of ya..." he whispered, taking a good look at her...features.

Alice hears the man calling after her and she hides in the shadows of the alley, looking over the money she had stolen and tucking it into her bra. She coughs hard, her hair wet and the rest of her soaked with the cold rain, her clothes clinging tight to her body with the water.

She coughs again into her arm then turns towards the familiar figure. "Eddie just leave me alone, I'm not interested!" She turns away and suddenly runs out of the alley and into a random park, going under a picnic roof and sitting at a table, looking around and watching the rain, coughing every few minutes and shivering, not protected from the cold water or wind much at all.

Of course, a loss was a loss. Instead of dwelling on it, he simply walked on, not interested in stressing over a lost debit card. He'd report the robbery soon, but there wasn't much he could do. This was fate...right? Walking right past Feldtman park, he came to notice a figure sitting at a table, coughing occasionally as she shivered where she stood. Fiery red hair visible from beneath the flickering light of the lamp, for a moment he saw the despair in her eyes, or what he thought was such. "Are you lost, ma'am?" he asked, walking a bit close but keeping his distance.

She looked extremely rugged, like the type of person you'd see hang around the seediest corners of the city. Despite that, he tried his best to seem extremely approachable, not looking the least bit threatening to her. "If you're lost, I can guide you towards the metropolitan police station." He just couldn't leave her all alone and in the cold like that...even if he did run the risk of being accused of being a pervert!

Alice turns seeing the man that she had robbed is the one speaking to her. She smiles slightly turning her head to cough. "Thank you Sir, but I'm fine on my own, the police office is NOT a good place for me." she turns around with her back to him and pulls the debit card out of her bra, knowing she wouldn't be able to use it, just can use cash. She turns back to him "Did you drop this or something? I found it laying in an alley earlier, I'm asking everyone..." she gives him a smile but her eyes are glaring at him, as if daring him to try to take her anywhere. She looks so cold and hungry, with her clothes stuck to her with the water you can count every rib on her, even though she has a nice ass and chest she is still bony as heck. The small girl hands it to him then leaves him standing there, turning back to her street and walking to her alcove, putting an old pot under the leak and curling up in the dryest corner of the small place.

"My wallet? Oh dear, many thanks, young lady!" he said, showing his due appreciation for finding his lost article. He didn't even stop once to suspect she may have been involved in it's disappearance. He sounded like a sucker, for sure! In fact, he didn't even lose it in an alleyway. "Here...keep the cash. You deserve it." he said, handing her the paltry amount of twenty dollars. After all, he never kept too much cash. However, when he saw that she rested in a small corner against the dripping rain, he came to know just what she was: a street girl.

Walking closer, he disregarded his safety, showing his determination to help her. "Hey. I have a nice warm bed back at my place...if you'd like to stay there just to dry up, that'd be great. It's the least I could do after finding my wallet..." he said, trying to convince her to come with him. He didn't seem dangerous at all: in fact, he looked just too kind. Like those people who'd be handing her blankets when she would rest in a homeless shelter.

Alice frowns at the man, glaring at him, wondering why on earth he would care enough to follow her back to her current home. She shrugs thinking for a moment, and she suddenly stands with a smile, brushing her wet red hair out of her eyes with one hand.
"Sure... As long as no police are involved. If they are... I'll hurt you." She says, ending the sentence with a threat, even though the man is being really nice to the young 16 year old. "Understand?" She asks, her threat not having been very scary in her soft voice that she seems to be losing, because of the cold.

The police? He would never involve them, that was for sure! After all...charity was the least he could provide to the girl who had found his wallet for him! "Agreed. I will not involve them in this." Nathaniel said, handing her his coat to perhaps cover up on as he held the umbrella close. "So...do you go to school?" he asked, walking towards his home. It was an incredibly plain little town house, quite neat and rather well furnished. Despite that...it was rather plain. Nothing of value to steal except for the TV or his computer. "Did you want something to eat? I have a few leftovers from yesterday..."

Alice smirks at the guys naivety but going with him. She wraps his coat around her small body absently and walks with him. "No. Left school." she says simply. She looks around the house, rather disappointed in the simpleness, but not showing it. She can still rob his neighbors or something. "Sure. Haven't ate in a couple days." She answers, putting his coat on the back of a chair and standing uncertainly in the middle of the kitchen, watching him.

"Why so? You really should attend if you want to acquire a career in the future." he was just so naive it was almost laughable. He prepared also some hot chocolate, hoping she would like it as he handed her a towel and a blanket. "If you want, you can go clean yourself at my washroom. Don't worry, I won't spy on you. Just keep yourself warm and change into dry clothes while I still heat up the food." he invited her to try, warmly smiling. Honestly, it was hard to tell if he really was tricking her...
