It was 10:30PM on a Thursday night. The skies were clear with an ocean of twinkling starts and a bright full moon casting a soft light on the Earth. There was nothing special or particular about this day. For Lily, it was just a typical day. She had attended classes at the local college, came home, did her homework, did some housework, and spent the evening lounging. Alone in her dimly room she sat, sprawled out on her bed typing away on her laptop after having freshly stepped out of the shower.

Lily was a petite girl was generous curves, and a plump round chest and buttox. The girl had light blue eyes and soft long light brown locks. Since it was almost time for bed, all the girl wore was a t shirt and a pair of pink panties.

"Finally, done," Lily groaned as she rolled over and stretched. The young woman had just finished writing a paper for one of her classes that was due the next day. A long drawn out yawn echo'd from between her lips as she held her arms straight out in another stretch. It was definitely time to hit the sack. With a sigh, Lily sat up and proceeded to clean up her books, notebooks, and papers that were piled all over her bed. As soon as it was clear, the young woman flopped right back into bed. It didn't take long before sleep overtook her.

The dream she had was unlike any dream she had had before; It felt so real. Alone in a forest she stood. She could feel a cool breeze rushing through the land. She could hear the rustling of the tree tops, and the hoots of owls echoing through the woods. She could smell the refreshing aroma of dew kissed grass. Lily began to walk... as if she knew where she was going. It appeared she was following the sound of foot steps. There was a man in the distance, running. She followed him eagerly, feeling a strong need to catch up to him. All she could see was a silhouette but she she felt like she knew him and relied on him. "Wait!" she tried to yell, but nothing came out. Still, she followed. Soon the man reached an opening, the moonlight cascaded over him like a spotlight. It was then that she was able to make out his features. He was a rugged thing, a peculiar man, yet strangely handsome. Did he notice her? Slowly, Lily approached him, trying to not make a peep or startle the man. Unfortunately, her foot stepped down on a twig, sending out a loud cracking sound. The man's gaze quickly darted in her direction and locked with hers. The look in his eyes made her heart race. He didn't say anything, he didn't do anything, but something told her he was waiting for her. She wouldn't be able to follow her handsome stranger though. As soon as Lily took her first step, her world grew to black.

Lily immediately woke in a confused daze. "Did I pass out?" she thought to herself as the young woman slowly sat up and rubbed her eyes. "No wait, that was just a dream. It sure did feel real though." With a yawn, Lily stretched. Her eyes were still heavy. "Must still be late...," she mumbled to herself noticing that there was no sunlight shining through her window. The young woman was just about to lie back down and go back to sleep when it occurred to her... she wasn't in a bed. Her bright blue hues opened wide as she quickly took a look at her surroundings. She wasn't even at home! Where the hell was she?! All she could see were trees and darkness.

In a panic, Lily scrambled up onto her feet. She didn't know where she was, yet the place looked familiar. It was like her dream! "Is--- is this a prank or something? Who's there?" Lily hollered, hoping maybe her friends had drug her off over night. There was no answer. "Anyone there? Mom? Dad? Anybody?" Lily spun around, taking a look in all directions trying desperately to get he bearings. Her heart pounded heavily in her chest. What the hell was happening to her?

The forest was alive in its own way... the wind was its song, the animals were its children, and the streams and rivers were its blood. The rain was its tears, and its lightning was its wrath. For one who lived in the forest for as long as he did, he was able to read its vibes, hear its voice, and understand its feelings. Its whispers would sometimes come to him in his sleep, and wake him in the middle of the night during strange circumstances...

And tonight was one of them.

Haine charged through the forest, his thick leather boots pounding through the grass and dirt as the moon stared at him from above. Haine's unkempt yet silky black hair flowed freely through the air with every step, his icy blue eyes finding their way through the dark. A shirt made from animal skins and fur was over his torso, a wide assortment of knives and other such tucked into a belt that circled his waist. On his back sat a small quiver of arrows, a small bow sheathed beside them.

He wasn't sure what had been happening to him at night... sometimes, he swore that the forest woke him up with great urgency. He had often wondered if there had been any dangers nearby, and if the forest wanted him to protect it. Other times he thought he had strange dreams... strange visions of odd mechanical beasts racing one another on stone roads with castles or fortresses built high above the clouds. Was there a god trying to tell him something?... Was there a purpose to all of this? Haine didn't know for certain, but he was sure going to find something out.

It was then that he heard something. Haine skidded to a stop, his ears perking up for any sudden noises. He had decided to go hunting for some nocturnal animals at this time, trying to find something for breakfast the next morning... but what he had heard didn't sound anything like a normal animal. Sniffing the air, Haine bent low, his small bow in his hands as he brandished a large, thick metal knife in his other. Taking an arrow, he followed the source of the strange sound.

"Mom? Dad? Anybody?"

Haine froze, blinking a few times. That didn't sound like any animal voice... in fact, he recognized it as being human... a female human at that. Blinking, he cautiously stooped low and dove into some bushes, moving as slowly as he possibly could. Like a predator, he was quiet and patient, snaking his way through the leave underbush before he finally caught a visual.

It was a human woman alright... and she was nearly naked.

Haine almost gasped out in surprise but cupped his hand over his mouth. It had been a long time since he had laid eyes on another human, and he had never seen a woman with such.... revealing clothes and... dangerous assets... He shook his head, staying prone to the ground as he decided to observe her... perhaps she was lost?... Or maybe she was trying to do the forest some harm?... he didn't know. He decided to wait a few moments patiently before revealing himself to her... and in the meantime, he couldn't stop staring at her face and body, finding her... quite appealing.

The woods remained silent as Lily hoped that it'd be revealed to all be a prank. How on Earth did this happen? She was just in her room! How could she in a forest now? And what made it feel even weirder was that it was just like her dream, minus the handsome rugged fellow whom she had been chasing. Even the slightest sign of civilization would do at this point. If only she had been as bold as she was in her dream. The woodlands were just an ocean of darkness, the only light provided was from the moonlight and the stars. Lily then looked up. She had never seen the sky outside of the city before... with all of the city lights, she could hardly even see a single start. But here, it was like the sky was just a twinkling mass. The moon even shown more brightly in this place. That was when it hit her. The moon... in the dream. The man was en route towards the moon. She began to wonder if that would bring her somewhere safe, or to someone who could give her answers. As crazy as it sounded, she was going to try it. Granted, this wasn't her dream, but standing around in the open like a helpless deer most certainly wasn't helping her.

Immediately, the girl took off, darting into the forest. If only there was a handsome stranger waiting for her, but Lily wasn't that lucky. "Anyone out there? Anyone!" Lily called as she swerved around trees, following the moonlight, hoping it'd lead her to a safe haven. The forest was thick with trees and shrubs. Who knew what was lurking out there--- what sort of creatures were watching her, ready to take advantage of the defenseless girl. Her breath huffed heavily as she sprinted through the forest as fast as her bare feet on Earth could carry her. She couldn't stop until she knew she was safe. A gust picked up, practically pushing the girl along, hopefully leading her where she needed to be. She hoped the moon would be her guide.

Lily came to an abrupted stop as she finally emerged from the thickness of the woods and found yet another clearing. Much to her dismay, there was a river in the way--- the water quickly tricked and splashed down it's determined path. She could attempt to swim through it, but that was quite the swim. The river had to be at least thirty feet wide, and the flow of the river was just rough enough to send the girl trailing down with it. "Dammit," Lily muttered to herself. Maybe there was a shallower end! "Here's hoping," she whispered before quickly jogging along the river bank. It was just a little off her ill planned path. Maybe she'd even find a bridge, which would lead her to people!

As luck would have it, the further down she went, the gentler the flow of the river became. It wasn't long before she found a shallow spot. It was no river, and it was dreadfully rocky with trails of water slithering between rounded boulders, but it'd have to do. Cautiously, Lily took her first step into the river. The water was frigid like ice, but refreshing. Slowly, Lily took careful steps, stretching her legs from boulder to boulder. "Yay, I'm doing it! This isn't so bad...," she thought to herself as she began to hop from boulder to boulder, gaining confidence in her progress. But, the careless girl hadn't anticipated the slippery boulder ahead covered in slimy sediments from the river. The second Lily placed her foot onto the boulder, the girl tumbled. She let out a squeak as she hit the icy cold water with a loud splash. Thankfully she had chosen a shallow spot to cross, or else the mighty river would be carrying her down with it. Lily immediately scrambled up onto her feet, now soaking wet and shivering as the cool breeze hit the wet clothin that now clung to her frame. Still, she carried on across the river. The girl slipped and stumbled back into the water a few more times as she lost her footing on the slippery rocks below her. But, she did eventually make it across.

Lily tossed herself down onto the ground as soon as she made it to the river bank on the other side. A loud sigh escaped her soft pink lips. Her chests heaved up and down rapidly with exhaustion. What the hell was she thinking?

Haine watched her quietly, his body still and hidden underneath the bushes. He watched her look to the sky, studying the forests for a while before she suddenly took off into the forest, the glorious moon in the sky lighting her way. Was she following it? Haine wasn't sure... but he couldn't leave her alone just yet. Normally, this wouldn't be any of his business and most times he would rather have nothing to do with his own kind... the forest was his company and his friends... but he could make an exception at this point.

Haine took off behind her, his leather boots silent as he padded through the forest behind her. For not knowing where she was going and despite her lack of clothing she ran pretty fast. He always made sure to be out of view from behind her, seeing where she was going and what she would do. From what he knew of the forest, they were making their way towards one of the many streams that flowed like a vein underneath the trees... he could smell it in the air, the wind at his back. Did the forest want him to follow her?

After a few moments of running after her, she finally reached the large river. The moon reflected beautifully on its surface, shimmering like a diamond as the water rippled through its reflection. Fearing being discovered, Haine quickly gripped a tree branch above him and swung his body up into it. The tree rattled slightly, but he doubted she could hear it. Living in the forest by himself for a few years gave him great strength and knowledge of nature... he knew how strong these branches were. As she made her way down the river bank, he followed from tree to tree.

When the water began to thin out, he noted that she began to cross. It seemed like she was rather enjoying jumping boulder to boulder much to his confusion... it was like she had never been in nature like this before. He had to stifle a loud laugh as she fell into the river, but he managed to stay quiet... she finally flopped over onto the ground like a fish, and he noted that her sticky wet clothes made her much more... alluring...

A single howl in the night brought him back up to attention. Of course, the wolves had all gone out hunting... he was familiar with all the wolf packs out in the forest. For the most part they had no conflicts with each other. The wolves respected his strength and confidence and he respected theirs. But if this girl suddenly showed fear and backed down in front of them, well... that would be a different story. The wolves of the forest valued strength, and they eliminated the weak. With a strange fear for her safety, Haine dashed through the trees before finding a long branch that reached over to the other side. He nimbly raced across it, his body being hidden by the dark as he landed quietly onto a few shrubs on the same bank as the woman. He broke into a roll when he hit the ground, leaping back up and swinging into a tree.

He brought two fingers to his mouth, blowing a single note that could resemble some sort of bird. He was hoping to try and lead the girl away from the approaching wolves... he could feel their presence getting closer.

Lily's mind was a fog and it felt like the world was moving much faster around her. As soon as the howls of wolves came echoing through the area, Lily was up on her feet. She had heard such a sound before on TV and in movies, but never in person, and the sheer reality brought chills down her spine. In a panic, the young woman spun around, trying to figure out the direction that the howls had gone in. Her heart was racing in her chest and her head was spinning with adrenaline. But then something else caught her attention... the girl caught movement in the corner of her eye, but by time she her whipped around in the direction of the object she had caught moving, it had disappeared into the brush. It couldn't have been a wolf, whatever it was, it stood up right and clearly felt a need to hide. Or was it stalking her?

Lily was about to go investigate when a peculiar whistle tweeted from the canopy of the trees before her. The young woman jumped and let out a squeak. What the hell was it? Who the hell was it? It didn't particularly sound like a bird... though it was rather close. "Hello?" Lily whispered as she walked cautiously towards the brush, "Who's there?"

Another chorus of howls echoed through the air, this time, louder, which mean it was closer.

Lily didn't have time to be a dough eyed bambi. She didn't care who they were or what their intentions may have been, she just wanted to get out of there. "Whoever you are, get me out of here, please! I don't know where I am, I'm soaked, cold, and I don't feel like getting eaten by wolves tonight!" she cried as she desperately clawed and hopped at the trunk of the tree, trying her hardest to reach the nearest branch, but alas, she was too short to reach.

Haine could hear, see, and smell the wolves in the air. They were definitely close... They didn't have much enough time to run away like he had been hoping. He didn't want to cause any conflict between him and the wolves since they both shared the forest equally. He didn't want them to detest for taking away their chance for a meal, but what choice did he have at this point? He wasn't sure if there would be a fight that would break out, but chances of that happening were too good. If it was an entire pack, he would be in a lot of trouble.

Haine saw the girl scramble towards the tree, fear and desperation in her eyes. The wolves would be upon her in just moments, and even just being up in a tree could prove to be dangerous... wolves were known to be patient, and they would wait as long as they wanted for her to get down. With time running out fast, Haine quickly acted.

He reached a hand down from the darkness, his own grabbing the hand of the panicked girl below him. With a heave, his muscles contracting, he pulled her up as fast as he could, jerking up straight up onto the branch beside her. He quickly set her down so that her bag was against the trunk, her legs hanging down from both sides of the branch. He had eye contact with her for a brief moment before jumping down, landing softly in the grass as the pack of wolves skidded to a halt.

He saw confusion in their eyes and body language, questioning his sudden appearance and blocking off their meal. After a few moments the pack leader stepped forth, a bulky grey furred monster of a canine. Haine swallowed but held his ground, dragging out the large knife on his belt as he assumed a low stance, the glimmering blade looking sharp and menacing. The wolves snarled and growled at him, fur raising on the back of their necks as they bared their large fangs.

Sweat slowly started pouring down Haine's cheek, but he stayed stoic. Any sign of weakness would set them off... he had to be strong and patient. He bared his own fangs, taking a few steps forward in aggression. A few of the wolves backed off a little, slightly intimidated... yet the pack leader stayed strong.

Haine's heart was beating like a drum, and just when he thought he would get pounced the pack leader spun around with a huff, its feet padding softly on the ground as it slowly retreated back into the forest. The other wolves gave each other an uneasy glance before following, continuing to growl at Haine and the girl as they left through the woods. A few silent moments passed before Haine let out a loud sigh of relief, running his hands through his hair.

Sheathing his knife, he turned to look up at he girl in the tree.

The young woman didn't know what to think. Her mind became a mess as it fought to register what exactly was going on. Was she still dreaming? No, she couldn't be... this felt different. It felt so real. It was real. But, how could it be? This wasn't her world, that man... he couldn't be real, could he? It was the man from her dream. How could this ever be possible? What was it that brought her to him? Who was he, and why did she dream of him, and why was he now before her? She could feel her body growing cold, yet her cheeks grew hot. She could feel the hairs on the back of her neck standing. Goosebumps covered her body. She watched in silence, completely incapable of acting otherwise. His sheer strength was amazing... the guy was able to lift her up with a single hand. He was built out of raw muscle, striking blue eyes that lightly glistened in the moonlight, and a mess of black hair that framed his handsome face. The look in his eyes when he looked her way was the same way he had looked at her in the dream.

He sure was something. He was unlike any person she had ever seen before. The way he handled those wolves, facing them bravely and sternly like some alpha male left the girl awe struck. If that had been her, she'd surely have been dead. Did he face them for her?

"Um... thank you," Lily spoke from high up in the tree, "You saved my life." The young woman then slowly scooted over, hugged onto the truck of the tree and slid her way down, ending up landing on her bum. "Ow...," she groaned, arching her back and sucking her teeth at the pain. As soon as the pain subsided, Lily let out a sigh and quickly stood up. As she knelt down to dust off her legs, she noticed something... her attire. Her wet attire. Her wet translucent attire that clung to her body. The girl immediately let out a shocked squeal and hugged her chest with one arm and pulled the hem of the shirt down with the other. Her cheeks were beet red with embarrassment. She could only pray he didn't see anything too detailed.

A nervous laugh escaped her lips as she bashfully looked over at him.

Once again, there he was, this time standing before her in front of the trickling riverbank. The way the moonlight hit him... it was like in her dream. The beads of sweat on his body glistened softly in the moonlight, his hair lightly waved in the breeze. He looked gentle, yet at the same time, he intimidated her. The look in his eyes was a whole other mystery.

She felt a strange yet intense desire to touch him. If she could touch him, she'd finally accept that something explainable happened this was now her reality.

Haine was still a little jumpy from the whole situation... he sheathed his large knife into belt, watching the girl in the branch above him... still clueless on what to really do. She was... unlike anybody he had seen before. Soft skin, alluring curves, a nice gentle voice... frankly, he was at a loss at what he should do. It had been a long time since he had been in contact with another human and even longer since he had been in contact with a woman. Before he could say anything, he heard her thank him from her heart.

And then she attempted to drop from the tree... landing a bit harshly on her ass.

It was a bit comical, and then he saw her pull down her shirt as an attempt to block her body... so she wasn't one of those... those kinds of women that go around the villages at night? He never knew what those women really did, either. He had never seen clothes like hers before, so she must be an outsider... right?

Haine cleared his throat and approached the girl on the ground. It didn't appear that she had any survival skills... so what should he do? Take her to the nearest village? Or should he... take her with him? An odd feeling kept telling him to lead her back to his cabin, away from all the dangers of the forest. Besides, the closest village was way too far away.

"Haine." He stated, pointing to himself, "Who... are you?" He felt incredibly stupid... it had been a while since he had spoken, and his words sounded broken up and dumb... like one of those idiot lumberjacks that he had to constantly fight off.

There was some rustling in the bushes, and Haine glanced around. "It's not safe... " He said again, "Come with me." Happy that his words sounded maybe a bit more normal, he reached out a hand to pull her up. Depending on how fast she would run with him, he may just end up carrying her. Judging by the lack of shoes on her feet, it would probably come to that.

"Um... Lily", she spoke softly with a nervous laugh, pointing at herself in a mocking fashion. He hadn't spoken in her dream, and his voice... was not what she expected it to be. It was weak, and gentle, yet... it was stern and serious. She couldn't quite place her finger on it... was it perhaps that English wasn't Haine's first language? Has accent was fine, but there was certainly a struggle there. Lily didn't know what to think or how to feel as she gazed up at the man from her dreams and finally heard his voice. She didn't know what would become of her and this man, her dream only brought her to the moment when they first laid eyes on each other. She felt a strange attachment to this peculiar man, as if there was something they shared.

Nevertheless, he was all she had at the moment. He was her only saving grace from the darkness of the forest and the creatures the lurked inside of it. When Hain held his hand out, Lily slowly stepped forward and grabbed a hold of him. Her arms wrapped around his shoulder and torso tightly. His build was strong; It was as if he was made out of pure muscle. His scent... it was musky with a hint of pine and sweat. It was strangely enticing. She could hear each breathe that flowed out of his lungs, his scent of what she could only describe raw masculinity, and the feel of his dewy skin... it all confirmed it. This was no mere dream of hers.

Where would this man lead her? What would he do with her? Where exactly was she and what brought them together? Something told her she could trust him. And whether she wanted to or not, she'd have to, because whatever was lurking in the bushes around them, even he didn't want to stick around for.

(Sorry it's a bit short. Didn't want to write too much without knowing what you had planned. It seems like he will be taking her to his home?)

(Yep! Home it is!)

Haine maneuvered her in his arms so that one hard held her back and the other her legs... he had seen couples hold each other like this on some strange days in the village when there were lots of throwing flowers, crazy women, and drunk men. The women was always dressed in a strange white dress at this event, and they both looked happy. Well, he just carried her like this because it was a bit easier to run with.

He was surprised how light she was... her skin was smooth, her hair silky and soft as it touched his slightly tanned skin. Her aroma was much more wonderful than the most gorgeous wildflower he had seen, and her glimmering eyes were hard to look away from. He eventually managed to tear his eyes off of hers... he didn't want to be so unfocused that he ran into some random oak tree on his way over.

He broke off into a run, the moon still lighting his way as he dashed through bushes. In a few moments they reached the river, and he quickly began to make his way across the stones, landing perfectly due to much practice he had as a child. He landed softly on the other side before taking off into another sprint, avoiding any low branches and thorns on his way. He knew this route by heart, and even the darkness could hide his way home.

Eventually, the two humans broke out of the forest and into a small clearing filled with tall grass and colorful flowers. In the center stood a long cabin crafted out of wood, stones, and other earthly materials. From outside it looked no bigger than an average person's living room. Haine made his way through a cut path he had made himself.

The cabin itself looked pretty decent. The wood appeared strong and thick, with a thatched roof above. The cabin appeared to have no windows or glass, but had a door with iron hinges. Haine hesitantly set the girl down softly. He opened the door and looked around nervously before meeting her eyes once again. "My home." He nodded to her, "Is your home." His words sounded a bit better than before, but he still wasn't impressed. He then noticed that his cabin was pitch black, and he quickly scrambled inside to light a small candle.

Surprisingly, the small candle seemed to light up the home very well. The floor was covered with rugs of furs and pelts, and at the center was a small fireplace with an iron cooking pot placed above it. There were small racks on his walls holding things like bows, knives, and other tools he would need in the forest. The cabin smelled of pine and sap, with a small tinge of wondrous flowers. In the left corner of the cabin lay a pile of comfortable looking fur blankets that sat on top of a wooden cot. There were a number of sacks filled to the brim with things that were scattered around the cabin, but were organized in an odd way.

Haine looked around, thinking of what people would say when one welcomed them into their home... this girl was the first person he had come in, and was a bit nervous to say the least. He looked over at her and tried to give her his warmest smile, "Welcome, Lily."

Though the cabin was definitely on the rugged side... this man must've really been roughing it, it was a sight to behold amongst the darkness of these woods that contained unknown dangers. From the looks of it, she hadn't made it through the night without Haine. With a sigh of relief, Lily slowly stepped inside. The place was dimly lit by a single candle... and it was a bit on the chilly side; It was a cabin after all. But she couldn't believe he actually lived like this... hardly anyone she knew could ever live like this. She looked at the varying weapons and tools he clearly used for hunting--- the places was littered with varying furs and pelts. Where on Earth was she? And what time period? It was like she went back in time, but that wasn't possible... what was she kidding, she magically appeared in the middle of a forest in her sleep and met a man whom she had made up in her dreams.

Feeling exhaustion overcoming her, Lily slumped into a chair. She was cold, half naked in front of a man, and she was in frontof a strangely good looking man despite his unorthodox nature, almost certain her nipples were visible through her saturated white shirt, and she simply didn't pay any mind. She was just grateful to have ran into him, though something deep down was telling her that they had been lead to each other. Lily wasn't the type to believe in fate or destiny, but this was just beyond all explanation and reason.

Her eyes shifted over to Haine, and a soft smile stretched across her pink lips. "Thank you, Haine. You're my hero, I most certainly owe you...," she spoke, "But if you don't mind me asking..." she started, "Where are we? And... what is the date today? If you know..." She wasn't too confident a man like him would keep track of the date--- no matter what world or time period this man was from, he most certainly didn't look like the date was of any importance or necessity to him.

Haine, still nervous from the sudden contact, find himself at a what to what to do. She looked pretty cold, a little scared, and a little lost. His cabin was not much of a house like the ones in a village but it would shelter him and keep him warm in difficult times. He glanced around, taking a soft warm fur blanket off of a pile and draping it around her shoulders. For the time being, that should help her out.

He scooted her chair over to the small remnant of a fire place before bending down with two sticks, rubbing them together in a primitive fashion. With a small set of twigs and such he managed to spark a fire, but made sure it was small enough so that it didn't fill the cabin with too much smoke. He took seat opposite of her, trying to form words in his head.

"I'm no hero, " He replied with a slight smile as he watched the fire, "Just a survivor." The way he spoke his words was almost like the way Native Americans spoke english. He was understandable, but appeared that it wasn't his main language... or he wasn't used to talking to people.

He heard her question about the date, and he began to think, "The early moons of summer, " He replied, "I do not know the dates and such the village people have. I prefer to keep my distance. But perhaps we can speak to the elvish clans living in the forest with me." He said, the words coming naturally from his mouth as he mentioned the "mythical" race of elves.

"Where are you from, Lily?" He asked, cocking his head at her. He still wanted to know where such a... pretty young thing came from dressed in such a way he had never seen. She was certainly his main interest.

(Haven't been feeling good the past couple of days so my reply may be a little slacking, but it's better than anothing, right? x.x)

Lily gripped the fur blanket that laid heavily on her shoulders and held it close. The warmth of the fire kissed her cheeks, turning them a shade of pink. Her eyes remained fixed on the fire that crackled and popped as the flames danced around. It was most certainly did help warm the young woman up. Even though she was warm, it was going to take awhile for her shirt to dry. Judging by the looks of Haine's home, and his own attire, he didn't have anything she could wear lying around--- at least anything that wasn't made out of a dead animal. What on Earth lead to a man living out in the wild out like this? Nowadays when one lived out in the wilderness, they were still able to receive electricity. Maybe he was something like an Amish man. He most certainly was an unorthodox man. An unorthodox man who... still believed in elves?

"...perhaps we can speak to the elvish clans..."

Lily immediately turned her gaze back to Haine. The young woman cocked her head to the side and rose a brow. Okay, yeah, this man was nuts. Elven people... living in the woods... today? Elves hadn't been around for quite some times, amongst many long lost races and creatures. Poor fellow, did he grow up out here like this? Maybe his parents were nuts who raised him to believe such things.

"Um... I'm from the city of Riverville," Lily spoke, unable to forget the line on elves supposedly living in the forest. "But uh...Haine," Lily added, "I'm pretty sure elves haven't been around for thousands of years. Perhaps you are mistaken?" She wasn't sure what or who these people he knew were, but there was no way there were elves.

(It's cool haha! I've been super busy with exams so its alright! This reply might be a bit short though >.<)

Haine blinked, sitting in front of her with only the fire seperating them. First of all, he had never heard of a village called Riverville... let alone a city. Well, he had never actually been to a city so that was fine... but she thought elves were all gone? Was she playing with him or something? He looked at her, a frown crossing his lips. Perhaps not... maybe she injured her head in the forest or something?

"I am not." He shook his head, a frown still pleasant on his face, "I trade with them. The village people know them. They don't live far away." He pointed out the door, before taking out his long, shining hunting knife, "They made this for me." He stated. The knife definitely looked like something out of a Lord of the Rings movie, and it appeared to be razor sharp with no stains or scratches.

"You okay?" He asked, cocking his head at her, "Hit your head?... do you have 'the dumb' that I hear the village people say?" He was trying to read her. He knew she wasn't from around here, but it still seemed ridiculous. Elves were very respected creatures and were as strong as they were elegant. He made sure not to break any of their taboos while hunting, and he always treated them as nicely as he could.

Lily simply remained silent. A knife hardly meant a thing. Nowadays, knives like that could be mass produced. For all she may have known, some hippies could've given the guy some replica knife and convinced the hermit that it was something amazing. Haine didn't seem too social and with the times. It wouldn't surprise her. This was all too confusing for her, and Haine's cluelessness just wasn't helping out any. He was a big help, but he also knew little of where they were... and apparently what year it was. The young woman could feel a headache coming on. It was late, she was wet and tired. She was ready to call it a night.

"Um, Haine...," Lily spoke shly, peering up at the man, "Do you have anything else I could wear. I'm still a bit wet, and I'd hate to have to sleep like this." Lily pulled onto the damp fabric that was still fighting to cling onto her form. In most cases, she would be utterly mortified to be in front of a man like this, especially with nothing but thin layers of cloth concealing her assets. Lily wasn't quite aware of the current translucence of the fabric and the preview she was giving the man. The girl's nipples were even a little perked from the chill of her shirt.

Haine nodded, getting up from his seat as he made his way around the room to look for something else. He had a giant pile of blankets still, but it wasn't like those were clothes or anything. His own shirts and pants were probably too big... maybe a big single shirt would do? Scratching his head, he went over to the part of his wall that had other hung up furs and things.

He was also a bit disappointed in the fact that she didn't believe him... he would definitely have to take her to the elves tomorrow. They could probably give her better clothes than he could... for now, whatever he gave her would be temporary . He pulled off a large, soft fur shirt hanging on a rack and made his way over to her.

"It's... a bit big... " He said, handing it to her, "But it should do for tonight. We'll get better clothes tomorrow. I promise." He then glanced around, moving a few thick blankets and such to make way for another bed... the forest had cold nights, and seeing how the girl was wet and shivering... well, he hoped he had enough things to keep her warm. He looked back over at her, "Um... hungry or thirsty?"

Lily nodded, "I am a bit thirsty. I don't think I could stand to eat right now. I may not be able to keep it up with all of this confusion," she spoke. She then held up the shirt he gave her and examined it. It was most certainly big, but it'd have to do. Lily looked around, looking for a place she could go to change her clothing, but it appeared that the place was a little lacking in privacy. Her eyes shifted to Haine for a second. So far he was being a kind and respectful man. Hopefully she could trust him to be a gentleman. "Excuse me a second..." Lily then stood up and turned her back to Haine. She set the fur shirt down on the chair in front of her. She then gripped the hem of her drenched shirt and pulled it up over her head. So she was in front of a man in nothing but her panties for a few brief seconds, but at this point, she didn't care. Lily then grabbed the shirt and put it on.

The mass of fur hung over her body loosely. The neck laid low, revealing a few inches of cleavage, but at least she wasn't showing off her nipples to the man anymore. Since the shirt hung down to her mid thigh, the young woman went ahead and lowered her panties and took them off so that they could dry too. Lily took the initiative of hanging them up on the wall near the first.

"Thank you for the shirt, I'm a lot warmer now", she spoke with a kind smile as she turned to face Haine.

At first, Haine looked at her curiously. He saw her turn her back, wondering what she was doing. When she started pulling up her shirt a strange immediate feeling of embarrassment and other mixed emotions suddenly jolted around inside of him. He suddenly cleared his throat, looking around for anything to take his mind off of what was going on. He wanted to turn and keep looking... but he was afraid that perhaps she turned her back so that he wouldn't see anything... Not like he was complaining in the first place.

He made his way over to a small shelf and cupboard that he had built himself. He took out a steel mug, bringing out some sort of pot and contraption. While averting his gaze with much effort, he managed to build a strange setup that had the pot hanging over the fire to warm some tea. After waiting a little, it appeared that she had finished changing.

The girl looked as soft and wondrous as ever, even when she was wearing one of his shirts. He had a hard time controlling where his eyes would roam, and eventually focused them onto his hands. "Welcome, " He replied with a light smile, "Erm, just give the tea a few moments to warm." There was a few awkward moments of silence filling the air, making him feel slightly uncomfortable.

"So, " He began, trying to get a bit more familiar, "You have... family?"

Haine's staring didn't go unnoticed, though Lily didn't pay much mind to it, he was a man afterall, and so far he hadn't acted aggressive towards her, so she doubted the man was about to jump on her and attempt to have his way with her. Did Haine even know what sex was? Lily wouldn't have been surprised if he hadn't. He seemed so... out of touch with society. It was as if he had lived out there alone his whole life. The man's speech was even a little off.

Still, she found him to be a fascinating one. He was still unlike anyone she had ever met before. He had a unique masculine charm to me. Raw masculinity. Yet, he was so far kind, and gentle with her. If only he wasn't so delusional with what time period he lived in, she'd consider giving the man a chance if he so wished, even if it was just sex.

Lily then sat back down in her chair, finally able to enjoy the warmth of the fire. Her cheeks pinkened as the heat hit them and heated up her body. Her eyes remained fixated on the fire as he spoke, until he asked her about family. "Family?", Lily asked, looking up at Haine, "Do I have a family? Yes, I do. Doesn't everyone? I live with my parents. I'm a student. That's the only family I live near, so it's just the three of us. What about you?", she asked. From the looks of the place, he didn't look like he had any immediate family, or wife or kids, "Do you have a family, Haine?"

"Family... " Haine said to himself, his eyes seeming to look someplace far away. Family... well, he never knew family. He wasn't depressed about it, and it didn't effect him emotionally, but sometimes he felt a sense of longing for something. In the villages for the humans and the elves, he always felt a twinge in his heart whenever he saw a child in the arms of a mother, or brothers and sisters laughing and playing among themselves. It seemed like something so close but so far away.

"Not that I know of, " He stated, "But... the forest is my family." It sounded very much cliche', but Haine didn't really notice. A few moments past and the pot began to steam. With a smile, Haine took it off of the fire and poured it into the steel mug. He blew on it a bit too cool it and then handed it over to her, "Tea," He stated, "May taste a bit... fiery at first, but it soothes well." He poured himself a mug, setting the pot down aside.

Taking a long sip he looked back around at the room... where was she going to sleep? His many fur blankets and such were really meant to keep one person warm in the night. Well, he was used to the cold anyway... it was chilly out, but it wasn't unbearable. In the meantime, he watched her to see her reaction after drinking the tea. It always tasted spicy at first, but in the end it calmed down the body and relaxed the mind.

Lily took a sip of the tea. It didn't hit her right away, but as it went down, she could feel the burn on her throat. It was much like her first sip of ginger beer--- she didn't see it coming. The young woman coughed a little, her eyes watering as she caught her breath and calmed herself down from the sudden shock of the taste.

Once Lily managed to catch her breath, she lounged back, gazed over at the strange man, and returned her attention to the topic they had been discussing. "H-how... do you not know any family? You had to have known someone growing up. Who raised you? Who did you grow up around?" she asked with a cocked brow. Even if they weren't blood, surely there was someone who had raised him or was close to him growing up.

Lily could already feel the tea working it's magic. As the hot liquid hit her belly, it sent a warming sensation through her body--- almost like alcohol. He didn't give her alcohol did she? Last thing she needed was a man getting her drunk in a time like this. But, it was comforting. What kind of tea was this? It wasn't like any tea she had ever drank before. She could feel drowsiness overcoming her. Where on Earth would she sleep? The place only had one bed. Granted, it could fit two adults, but she had just met Haine and he almost seemed more uncomfortable with her than she did him. He obviously hadn't been all too social for quite some time.

Haine paused, looking up at her with a questioning expression. She seemed a bit surprised that he didn't have any kind of family around... it wasn't that rare of a thing nowadays, was it? He was taken back by her reaction, sipping his tea calmly. He couldn't help but be slightly amused at her first time drinking the tea... he was also like that the first time.

"I... don't know." He answered back sheepishly, finishing his mug and plopping it down, "Ever since I can remember, I've been living alone. Maybe, at one point, I had a mother and a father... maybe I had a brother or a sister too. The forest has always provided for me, though... it has given me food, shelter, and helped me survive. When I was a child, a few people tried to take me in, but... well, I couldn't leave the forest alone." He felt a little uncomfortable opening himself up like this and decided to quickly change the subject.

"...You're tired." He stated, standing up as he went around to the blankets. He frowned, looking down at them. While it was true that he could split them up, there wouldn't be enough room for more than one bed. Because of the amount of items cluttered in the cabin, there was no way he could spread out the sleeping spot. Scratching his head, he turned to her.

"I'm sorry, I do not have another bed." He said nervously, "If you want to, I don't mind sleeping in the chair. Or if you wanted to... well.... " He looked away, feeling awkward once again.

Perhaps his lack of a family was why he was such an odd person. He essentially grew up like an animal, lived like some tribal man, it was like he was a real life Tarzan, except maybe more well put together. He seemed to have learned some manners and civility from the few who took part in his life. Maybe he had some weird social disorder or phobia that lead to him running out into the woods like this. Lily most certainly couldn't see herself living like this. Why should one do that when they have electricity, central heating and AC, and well... the conveniences of society. Oh well, if he wanted to live the way he did, more power to him, but tomorrow, he was taking to the closest sign of civilization, and she was getting her ass out of this place and finding her way home.

But until then, she needed sleep and there was only one bed for the two of them. The young woman let off a shrug. "You mean, share the bed? I don't mind, I trust you, you seem nice," she spoke with a smile. From the looks of it, Haine wasn't all too experienced with women; He'd probably never used his dick in such a way. He probably didn't even see her in any such way. It was a shame such a rugged and handsome looking fellow was so... odd. Lily knew many girls who'd line up for him if he were cleaned up and a bit more... modern.

Lily then stood up and walked over to the bed, "I hope... you don't mind, this is your home, and I do not want to make you feel uncomfortable," she spoke, pointing at the bed. "If anything, our combined body heat will make it even warmer."

Haine nodded, "That's what was on my mind." He couldn't help but feel embarrassed, though... he had never been in such close physical contact with another person; especially a very attractive girl. He bent down into the blankets, adjusting them accordingly so that they would be as comfortable and spacious as could be. Instead of pillows he had wrapped up fur bundles, and he was happy that he had a few of them to share. Satisfied, he took a step back.

"Take to the far side, " He stated, "I get up early in the morning and well... I don't wish to wake you." He went to his wall of tools, yanking off the sash around his waist that held his weapons and other objects. He hung it up quickly, taking off a few layers on clothing on his body until he was left in a thin brown shirt. Usually he slept shirtless, but the thought of it was still a bit... well, awkward for him.

"Take your time." He said, "I have a few things to do." He went over to extinguish the fire in the middle of the cabin, pouring a bucket of cold water directly onto it. The cabin dimmed significantly, being lit by only a single candle. He pulled the door close tightly, placing a thick plank of wood to lock it shut to keep away any animals or thieves. Satisfied, he made his way back over to the bed with the candle in hand. He blew it out, shrouding the room in darkness.

Sleep was just what she needed. It had been a long night, she had no idea what the hell happened to her, where she was, how she got to where she was and how she was going to get back. Here's hoping the village people he was going to take her to was a bit more advanced than the caveman Haine here. She couldn't be too far from home, could she? She had to at least be in the general area. She had just gone to bed! And it was still dark out... what an even scarier thought was who could've brought her there. This couldn't be some cruel joke... her friends weren't like that, and there was no such occasion that would call for such a prank.

She wasn't going to worry too much about it at that moment. In the morning, everything would get sorted out.

"Good night... Haine," Lily spoke with a hint of nervousness. It wasn't that she was uncomfortable. Well, she was, but it wasn't Haine. It was the entire situation, but she did not worry about him. As soon as the room darkened, Lily crept over to the bed and crawled onto the mass of fur. It was a bit... different to be covered in so much fur. She knew a few people who would have fits if they saw Haine's choice fabric. Lily wasn't all to keen on using fur, but you had to work with what you had, and if Haine did it for livelihood, then she supposed it was okay.

As soon as her head hit the makeshift fur pillows, she could feel the heaviness of overcome her. The young woman was so exhausted; It didn't take long before she was in a deep sleep. Lily hadn't even dreamt that night. It felt like the second she closed her eyes, she was ready to open them again.

The chirps of birds could be heard in the distance as the first rays of sunlight cast through the window, shining upon the young woman's face. Lily squinted and held her hands up, shielding herself from the sunlight. She hated it when she slept so deep that it felt like she hardly slept at all. She loved dreaming, and having that lingering slumber... she was a bit lazy at times and quite enjoyed sleeping.

As Lily sat up, her eyes widened and her heart raced. She could feel a sense of panic rushing over her. But it all quickly came back to her... she had somehow ended up in the woods last night, and some strange man had saved her from a pack of wolves. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she rubbed her eyes. She had been hoping it was a dream, but she supposed it wasn't. At least she survived the night. It appeared Haine hadn't tried anything with her, and if he had, she had slept through it. "I hope I didn't snore or cling to the guy or anything..," she thought to herself, worrying about what she may have done in her sleep.
