~~ About This Thread ~~
Hello readers! I am Incubus Dreams and as of the creation of this thread, I have been a member of the Blue Moon community for roughly four and a half hours. I've spent most of this time browsing the request thread forums and deciding how to best arrange my own thread as to make it clear and concise. I noticed, in my reading, that the threads that broke their requests up into multiple sections with headers seemed to be the threads that most caught my own attention. Not being a man to argue with apparent results, this is the route that I have chosen to take with my own thread.
Below, you will find a number of headers that can be used to bookmark the information in this thread. You will find a section detailing my preferences in any given role play, a section detailing what you can expect from me as a writer, and a section detailing what I will be hoping to find in my writing partners. In addition, you will find two separate sections for premade role play story ideas. One will be for one-shot and short-term ideas while the other will be for long-term and ongoing role plays. Please be sure to read the first three sections thoroughly before contacting me. They will contain information of notable importance.
~~ Role Play and Writing Preferences ~~
Short-Term or Long-Term ~~ I prefer long term role play, but I do not like to commit to such things with people whom I have no prior connection to. That said, if this is to be our first story together, then I will insist quite strongly on playing something short-term. If, at the end of our short story, we have both enjoyed writing together then we can discuss either turning our short-term RP into something more long-term or starting from scratch with a new story intended to be long-term. If writing a short-term preview before we get into a more serious role play sounds like a hassle to you, then I am not the partner for you. I understand that this is a little unorthodox, but it gives us a chance to get a feel for how the other writer plays before we commit to a long-term plot and disappoint one another if one of us decides that the other is not a good fit for what we want.
Plot or Smut ~~ Plot and smut both hold a place in my heart and I cannot truly place one above the other. That said, I do have a preference between the two dependent on the length of the role play. If we are playing something short-term, then the plot of the RP will likely be short and smutty. For a long-term story, however, then I will put the drama, the action, and the plot above senseless, sexy smut.
Methods of Role Play ~~ I am only interested in playing by threads here on Blue Moon. The idea of forum RP is the very thing that drew me to this website and I will not deny myself the experience of doing just that. While I do have instant messengers, and I am willing to give my messenger IDs out to my partners so we can chat if they would like, I am not interested in role playing over them.
Descriptions or Images ~~ Both! Yes, the answer is that short and simple. Please be prepared to give me both an image to represent your character for visual reference and a description of them in your first post to note any differences. For modern and low-fantasy plots, I prefer real-life images. For high fantasy or fandom plots, however, I prefer drawn images, 3D renderings, or any other matter of fabricated image.
~~ What You Can Expect From Incubus Dreams ~~
Activity ~~ Barring extenuating circumstances beyond my control, I will be able to post at least once per day. If you happen to catch me on a day in which I have off of work and our waking hours overlap, you can probably expect multiple posts per day if you are able to deliver replies at a rate which will allow me to make multiple posts. Sadly, my days off are not set and my schedule changes weekly, so it is hard to plan such nights.
Creativity ~~ I like to believe that I am a fairly creative person and, in most cases, I leave my partners with the same impression of me. I pride myself on being able to create fun plots, interesting characters, and writing well enough so that even a long-term plot does not begin to get stale and crunchy. I can't promise that I will be the most creative person that you've ever met, but I can promise that I will try not to disappoint.
Literacy ~~ I believe that the contents of this thread speak for themselves regarding this matter. English is my native language and while I have not yet been able to afford the tuition to pursue higher education, I did take several creative writing classes in high school. My writing is far from perfect, but if you've made it this far into my ad, then I have to assume that you have deemed it acceptable.
Multiple Characters ~~ I am capable of, and love, playing multiple characters in most role play situations. Yes, before you ask, that means that I am comfortable playing multiple characters in the same scene, even if that scene is sexual in nature. In most cases, however, this applies to side characters that I use merely to enhance the story and add some spice to the RP revolving around the two central 'main' characters.
~~ What Incubus Dreams Would Like From You ~~
Activity, Creativity, & Literacy ~~ I would not ask anything of you that I am not willing to do myself and most of what is written above goes both ways. I would like to see one post per day from you, but I understand that it might not be possible for some people. If you have to make posts at a rate of once every two days, then I will not make a fuss about it. What I will make a fuss about, however, is if you are leaving all of the creative thinking to me while offering nothing to the RP or if your posts are difficult to read because of a lack of punctuation or the inclusion of netspeak. Please give what you take regarding these matters.
Multiple Characters ~~ Unlike the three items listed above, my partner's ability to play multiple characters is not a requirement. It would be nice, of course, and a willingness to play multiple characters would greatly increase my interest in writing with you, but it is not necessary. If you've never written for multiple characters before, but would be willing to give it a try, I would be happy to be your guinea pig.
~~ Short-Term Plot Ideas ~~
Some of you may notice that the below plots are quite skeletal. That is to say, they are vague with very few details really fleshed out save for the general idea of what I have in mind. Rest assured, that it intentional. These short-term ideas are designed to be simple, customizable, and recyclable trial runs for you, my potential partners, to choose from when setting up our 'test drive' of one another. They are, by no means, the only possible short story ideas that we can use. If you have ideas of your own, I would be glad to hear them. Seeing as this is my thread and all, it is only right that I display some of my own ideas to choose from.
League of Legends Idea 1 ~~ Grudge Match ~~ After being delivered into a humiliating defeat by *Your Champion*, *My Champion* decides to hunt her down outside of the Fields of Justice and return the favor. Sounds short, sweet, and simple, right? We can play this with just about any pairing in the game so long as your champion is female. I would actually prefer to play a female champion here, as most of my favorite champions are women, but I am willing to play most of the males as well. There are only a small number of select champions that I would not allow to be involved, such as Urgot, but the vast majority are acceptable.
Modern Idea 1 ~~ Pervs on a Train ~~ Taken straight out of an amateur Japanese porn flick, this quick and smutty idea is probably exactly what are thinking it is. Your character is a woman of undefined age, profession, and ethnicity who has chosen to take the train, tram, or subway home from school, work, or the club. While she is innocently minding her own business, my character(s) is scoping her out and is planning to have a little 'fun' with her. For this quick little scene, I would be willing to play a single male character, a small group of males, or even a single female character. Just let me know what you want in your PM.
Modern Idea 2 ~~ Conventions Gone Wild ~~ While attending a local convention (anime or gaming; we can decide in PMs), your character (cosplaying as one of her favorite characters) catches my character's eye. My character (who is also dressed as one of his/her favorite characters), proceeds to approach and hit-on your character in a fully immersed and in-character manner. How will your character react to such an unconventional method of trying to pick up chicks? Will the two be a match made in convention heaven? Role play within role play, anyone?
Star Wars Idea 1 ~~ Hutt Generosity ~~ My character (who could be male or female) is a down-on-their luck spacer who is trying to get in good with the local Hutt so that he/she can get off of whichever dirtball planet they had been forced to make an emergency landing on. He/she was promised a new core part for their ship in exchange for their latest errand, but wouldn't you know that dirty hutt didn't keep its word! Not wanting to anger their only means off-world, my character graciously thanks the hutt for the stand-in compensation that it had presented them; a night with their choice of the hutt's slave girls. If nothing else, a night with a beautiful woman will take the edge off of the metaphorical hutt bullshit that he/she has been putting up with for the past two weeks. The races of our characters can be discussed over PM.
Warcraft Idea 1 ~~ Disgracin' the Basin ~~ In Arathi Basin, the resource rich lands nestled in the mountains of the Arathi Highlands, a lone female (your character) is left to guard one of the area's five vital locations. Not wanting to leave the area completely defenseless, she stays behind while the rest of her faction's forces rush ahead to try to take control of another. Meanwhile, my character(s) are on their way toward the base that your little lady has been left to defend. For this scene, you could play as either a Horde or Alliance woman and I would play either a single male, a small group of males, or a single female character from the opposite faction. I am sure that I do not need to tell you what is going to happen when my character(s) stumble upon a lone guard who happens to be a woman.
