Larissa was new to college. It was all so new and busy and confusing. Coming from a home-schooled environment, Larissa was not familiar with many of the ways of not just college life but the relationships between students and students and professors. She did the best she could in class but it was always a struggle to stay up to speed in classwork and research. Her grades suffered and were slipping, but she struggled onward.
In addition, she was surprised, even scared at times, by the beehive of activity in her dorm. There was always something going on in the dorm, even sometimes parties that were so sexual in nature that she would hide in her room, embarrassed and confused by it all. It didnt help that she was naive, painfully shy, and withdrawn. Coupled by her plain dress, unsually sweatshirts and jeans, and her belief that she was plain and not at all attractive, her life was slowly becoming a place of misery and pain.
She was lonely, lost, and growing somewhat frantic about college when the new professor walked into her psychology 101 classroom...
