The light of the sun was just fading as the day ended. It was a warm summers evening and in the small rural town not much was moving. The light faded over the tree line as the town rounded out the day, and the last beams of light faded from the house on a hill in this small town in main.
The house was an old one, it was drafty, and creaked during the nights most of the floors were hard wood, and it contained three floors, a basement cellar that had a faulty fuse, so the lights almost never worked. A living area and dinning table across from a kitchen, and the top floor. The top floor was where the bedrooms were. Small rooms lined with thick shadows, where anything could hide. It was from these shadows that the entity watched a small girl. It's body-less eyes waiting from the shadows.
