Far off the normal access grid, smack in the middle of a tight and lush jungle, a research base had nestled its way inside, conducting highly classified, top secret military genetic experiments. These experiments were to create genetically enhanced beings, each capable of being a one man army. The research around this subject was slow, there hadn't been much of a scientific breakthrough around this subject for a long time. Except for this particular research establishment. They had achieved something extraordinary! Instead of altering and enhancing pure Human DNA, they had fused, altered and enhanced a mixture of DNA to compliment each other and grow far stronger then normal. They had fused animal DNA with Human DNA, creating an entire new species of Humanoid, capable of everything from either side of the DNA-strains and more. This experiment, this project, was called A.N.E.C.O, Autonomous Neuro Evolutionary Canonical Orientation.
Many of their experiments had fallen because the right formula had not been achieved for merging the species together, but they had rapidly gotten closer and finally, a successful attempt! They had taken the core DNA from a strong Panther they had found in the jungle, and the core DNA of a well fit ex-military Human now in civil society. Together, they had created a beautiful new species that had become half Panther and half Human. It was incredibly strong, agile and intelligent. This specimen had turned out to have become of a female nature, harboring more intelligence and agility. But all was not well. The scientists under direction of their research president, Ryax Oakheart, were feeling pretty high and mighty about their achievement, and the result was that they treated their being terribly, like it was a lesser being in all forms, when it was actually the exact opposite. This was causing a problem coupled with the more feral instincts from the Panther DNA. It caused anger, resentment, reluctance to comply requests or orders. The scientists had continued to treat the experiment badly, regrettably causing the being to take action against its oppressive makers. One of the scientists had died. Ripped to pieces by its sheer force. This had caused the other scientists to fear their creation, taking action and locking it inside a large super-dense glass and steel covered cage with dense jungle in it. They wanted to end the experiment, kill it off as it had become to dangerous and start over from scratch now that they had the formula for fusing Animal and Human DNA. The board of directors and the military were almost in unison with this decision and turned their attention towards the president of the facility. They made a deal with her. If she managed to tame the experiment, work would resume as it were, if not, the experiment would be offed.
After the big meeting, deep inside the complex, Ryax was quickly walking back and forth inside of her office. She had a very frustrated and stressed look on her face. "Damn it all! I told them not to mess with the experiment!", she yelled, following that a complex amount of closely knitted swearwords streamed from her mouth, cursing her employees to oblivion. She had been unable to attend and care for the experiment itself as much as she had wanted to, as the board of directors and military had been on her trail closely and were always demanding her attention. She had always cared for her experiment, always treated it nicely when she had the change, giving it a treat or two, communicating, testing it gently to see what it was capable of. She had gotten a little attached too it, but now things had become dire and it was about to get killed off, but she was determined to not let that happen if she could do anything to prevent it. After a while of venting, she sat down in her chair and took a couple of deep breaths.
She was average in length, 5'3'' to be more exact. She was not skinny, but she had become a little more so since she had started working here, rarely eating enough food, running around the large complex, yet getting all of her nutrients so her body was still comfortable with the arrangement. She was wearing a pitch black snugly t-shirt, hiding away her shy C-cup sized bust, along with a open pure white trench-coat looking lab coat. She had a pure white skirt, coupled with pure white stockings covering the entirety of her legs. Her shoes were not very spectacular, a plain pair of white gym shoes, as it was not very practical with high heels in a lab environment. She had some small peculiarities about her, being her hair and her eyes. The genius stupidity of her earlier self, she had conducted a trial of genetic experiment on herself. Thinking her formula and way of doing it was perfect, she was confident that she would become the experiment herself. But the result did not end that way. Instead it had changed a small set of her genes, not the ones she had targeted at all. Her hair had become tick with a full dark-ish red color, her eyes had become slightly tinted with green and silver colors coupled with her normal blue color, and her eyesight had become perfectly sharp. Her parents had given her the gift of getting poor eyesight early in her life, forcing her to wear glasses for most of her life. Now with her perfect eyesight, she didn't need them but felt rather uncomfortable and unprotected without them, so she wore a pair of non-sharpened glasses most of the time. She had become a bit more flexible as well, she was sure this was to become handy at some point, she just had not discovered that moment just yet.
Ryax had become President over the research team for the simple reason of her genetic experiment. It could have went terrible, but instead it just altered her in some slight ways. This was the reason that they wanted her to lead the team, wanted her to develop her genius for genetics and profit at the same time and do the same for other scientists. She had taken the job instantly, knowing full well that nothing could be more awesome for someone like her then to actually be on almost unlimited funds and to realize her dream, of making a perfect merge between species.
She got up after calming down again, putting on a straight face as much as she could. She got out of her office and headed towards the cage where her experiment had been locked inside. She picked up some treats along the way, as she always had the rare times when going to meet with her experiment. Eventually she arrived at the cage, she stood at the border of it and gazed inside. It was a lush jungle, easy to hide in, easy to stalk its prey, perfect for a Panther, especially a half breed like her experiment. She stood there for a while, eventually taking a big gulp as she steeled her resolve. She had to give it her all in this fight to be able to keep her experiment alive and thriving. She had to tame it, but there was no real other way then to face it herself. She was afraid of its ferocity, afraid that she would get killed if gone inside, but was hoping that it would remember her in some way, remember her kindness towards it, always giving it treats each time they met.
Ryax opened the small doors, went into the middle chamber and securely locked the doors behind her, then opened the last doors and finally went inside the cage. It was a little warm and the air was a bit moist, just like any real jungle, truly a perfect environment for a Panther. She put some treats in her hand and went inside the thick jungle, stopping when she figured that she would have been at the center of it and looked around to see if she could locate her experiment. She was shaking gently with fear, looking around nervously.
