For many years, the Dragons had been a myth. Something stories where told about, to scare little children from venturing too far into the mountains. Many of the eldest knew, that Dragons where once a real threat. Not all Dragon's had been the dangerous, ravaging Dragons of the north. The Black Dragon's. Who's main idea of fun, was watching Kingdoms rise, only to burn them down, once they reached the peak of their existence. But nevertheless, the Dragons had been hunt down. Hunt down and destroyed, until the edge of extinction. Only the hybrid Dragonkin, had been spared. Only they, had been allowed a place in this existence. Mainly due to the fact, that they where rarely as aggressive as pure Dragons, and because they rarely resided in mountains. Or at least, not in the mountains, the Dwarves and Titan's, had falsely proclaimed theirs.
And now, even the remaining Dragonkin, which where very few in numbers, and none of the really knew of the others of their races existence. They lived so far apart, that they could not feel each other. And some of them, had given up hope, to ever find their brethren.
And at one time. When the hybrid Dragon's, began proclaiming themselves strong. A wave of death and destruction, rolled over their kin. Many of the remaining Hybrid's, was killed off, by something only discribed as a shadow of death. Some, had even dared proclaim they spotted a Black Dragon. But an investigation, was never started. None of the races Kingdoms, cared for the Hybrid race.
The ones that had been spared, soon left. Out of any races view. To somewhere, no one could find them. Some set out searching, but never came back with anything, if they even came back. And so, the mater was ignored. Only one Hybrid remained. One, that the Shadow Council, knew of her whereabouts. A secluded Hybrid, that had set herself down upon an island. Only the very resourceful Shadow Council, knew of this island. And even with this knowledge, they stayed far away. She was known, and proclaimed herself, being the strongest creature, yet in existence. So never did they near her Island.
The Island's minions, could gaze into the distance, and cast a glance upon the thunderstorm, that seemed to move their way, and only think it natural. It seemed it. Black clouds, that carried bolts of lightning and a pouring rain. But the clouds traveled fast, and it seemed as if, wings where forcing them forward. But little did they react to it, just thinking it a rough storm.
But as it was overhead, and the piercing rain, fell upon their armor and wears, stinging at their skin, the noise was all overdone, by a mighty roar. The roar almost seemed to reach the high pitched tone of a scream, causing some to flinch in it's wake. But what followed the roar, was even more terrifying then the sound itself. The pitch black clouds, was pierced by a red flare, as a roaring flame blew through. It seemed to even engulf the drops of pouring rain, giving no hindrance to it's faring, striking down at the biggest watch tower, of the large Island. The tower was broken in two, the sound of scorched planks, and splintering wood, was only barely overdone by the frightened screams of the minions who fell with the tower.
And following the flame, came a mighty figure, tall as any watchtower. It's body was covered in wet, black scales, almost glistering in the blink of the lightning, still spilling from the rainy cloud. Wings, a size not seen, since the prime of the pure Dragon's. Mighty hands, that now grasped at a second watch tower, ripping it in two, as the creature struck down. Arrows, boulders launched from catapults, nothing penetrated, or even dented the mighty scales of the beast. And as it finally landed, the earth tremors could be felt, through the entire Island, and with a snap of it's long neck, it's mighty jaws picked up several minions in one, cracking them, flesh and bone, through the powerful teeth.
"Where, is! The false pretender!? Where is the one, who proclaims it'self, the strongest? Let her come forth! And lay proof, to that claim!" The Dragon soon roared, as he slammed his fist onto the ground, creating a shockwave from the base of his fist, sending several more Minions to their death.
