For many years, the Dragons had been a myth. Something stories where told about, to scare little children from venturing too far into the mountains. Many of the eldest knew, that Dragons where once a real threat. Not all Dragon's had been the dangerous, ravaging Dragons of the north. The Black Dragon's. Who's main idea of fun, was watching Kingdoms rise, only to burn them down, once they reached the peak of their existence. But nevertheless, the Dragons had been hunt down. Hunt down and destroyed, until the edge of extinction. Only the hybrid Dragonkin, had been spared. Only they, had been allowed a place in this existence. Mainly due to the fact, that they where rarely as aggressive as pure Dragons, and because they rarely resided in mountains. Or at least, not in the mountains, the Dwarves and Titan's, had falsely proclaimed theirs.

And now, even the remaining Dragonkin, which where very few in numbers, and none of the really knew of the others of their races existence. They lived so far apart, that they could not feel each other. And some of them, had given up hope, to ever find their brethren.
And at one time. When the hybrid Dragon's, began proclaiming themselves strong. A wave of death and destruction, rolled over their kin. Many of the remaining Hybrid's, was killed off, by something only discribed as a shadow of death. Some, had even dared proclaim they spotted a Black Dragon. But an investigation, was never started. None of the races Kingdoms, cared for the Hybrid race.
The ones that had been spared, soon left. Out of any races view. To somewhere, no one could find them. Some set out searching, but never came back with anything, if they even came back. And so, the mater was ignored. Only one Hybrid remained. One, that the Shadow Council, knew of her whereabouts. A secluded Hybrid, that had set herself down upon an island. Only the very resourceful Shadow Council, knew of this island. And even with this knowledge, they stayed far away. She was known, and proclaimed herself, being the strongest creature, yet in existence. So never did they near her Island.

The Island's minions, could gaze into the distance, and cast a glance upon the thunderstorm, that seemed to move their way, and only think it natural. It seemed it. Black clouds, that carried bolts of lightning and a pouring rain. But the clouds traveled fast, and it seemed as if, wings where forcing them forward. But little did they react to it, just thinking it a rough storm.
But as it was overhead, and the piercing rain, fell upon their armor and wears, stinging at their skin, the noise was all overdone, by a mighty roar. The roar almost seemed to reach the high pitched tone of a scream, causing some to flinch in it's wake. But what followed the roar, was even more terrifying then the sound itself. The pitch black clouds, was pierced by a red flare, as a roaring flame blew through. It seemed to even engulf the drops of pouring rain, giving no hindrance to it's faring, striking down at the biggest watch tower, of the large Island. The tower was broken in two, the sound of scorched planks, and splintering wood, was only barely overdone by the frightened screams of the minions who fell with the tower.
And following the flame, came a mighty figure, tall as any watchtower. It's body was covered in wet, black scales, almost glistering in the blink of the lightning, still spilling from the rainy cloud. Wings, a size not seen, since the prime of the pure Dragon's. Mighty hands, that now grasped at a second watch tower, ripping it in two, as the creature struck down. Arrows, boulders launched from catapults, nothing penetrated, or even dented the mighty scales of the beast. And as it finally landed, the earth tremors could be felt, through the entire Island, and with a snap of it's long neck, it's mighty jaws picked up several minions in one, cracking them, flesh and bone, through the powerful teeth.
"Where, is! The false pretender!? Where is the one, who proclaims it'self, the strongest? Let her come forth! And lay proof, to that claim!" The Dragon soon roared, as he slammed his fist onto the ground, creating a shockwave from the base of his fist, sending several more Minions to their death.

Born of foul magic the kin were the last of the dragons the first race of true beings. Born in the dream time by the ancient gods and goddesses who long ago left the mortal realm. She like her kin was a slave, a machine of war in the unending battles between the Dragon lords, and dragon knights. Her body was scared from a hundred battle mostly among her own kind. She moved gracefully her undulating body allowed her to swim through the heavy air of this realm. Like all creature she yearned to mate to leave behind heirs. Her rider urged her on there was something new to fear. It felt familiar like an old lover or enemy come back after a long absence.

She could feel the magic building up in her body the cold condensing in her massive lounges. She landed lightly on top of a walled city and looked out across the battlefield. Black as night an impenetrable black that seemed to swallow the sky around it. She leapt from the wall and sailed like a kite through the chaos of battle. He body coursed with an energy it could barley contain. She moved closer wishing to take the beast unaware. "I am she who is more then anyone's equal" She hissed out ready to tear the interloper apart. She could now see it male powerful, a purebreed dragon. It shot through her dragonfear and shammed her in doing so.

She could see the broken twist and mangled forms of her followers, dead. Slowly she began to change she could not maintain her battle form for long. She looked much like a human in dragon armor her rider was none to happy. "So big boy you think you can beat me" She was still far larger then any human. But was now dwarfed by the mountainous black dragon. She was a lustrous white the color of purity and snow. Her eyes a fiery red in her hand a long dragonlance forge from the bones of a dead purebreed. "Come closer and ill shall mount you're head on my wall" She smiled her teeth sharper then the lance she carried.

Void cut down a retreating orc splitting the foul creature in half with her long blade. Her tail wiping side to side as she folded her wings "I may have the face of a human angel but i am no angel" She leapt forward swinging her lance like sword. The blade glowed like the full moon as she attempted to cut off his wings. The creatures around her scattered under falling rocks. She jumped again trying now to cut of its head and do what she had bragged about. Her body was like a human females married to a dragons. She had killed plenty of the old kind in her younger days. Yet her hundreds of years of life could not compare to the thousands of her enemies.

As soon as his counterpart, neared the battlefield, his nose had already caught onto her scent, the bright green eyes, slowly turning her way as she spoke. The eyes narrowed in anger, fury written in his expression, at her spiteful words. She was far from his! She was far from pure, so she would never be his equal. His kinda, had ruled over her's, long before humans ever learnt to ride them. Before they learnt to nurse and care for his kind, and make them dossile. And even then, had he and the strongest of his kin, remained pure. Stayed away, from the feeble minds of humans, but only for long enough to see them rise. And then, strike them down. They where the dominant race. And would still have been, had it not been for the Titan's treatury. Once their allies, they broke the bond they once had, and sided with the Dwarves. And now this pretender, proclaimed herself 'more' then his equal? She would soon bite her tongue at those words.

At her words again, the Dragon sneered, his teeth barked at the woman, as his green eyes narrowed, piercing at hers. "Like a pup, you speak of defeat, as if you do not fear it. In your heart, you will soon realize, the Age of Dragon's, has not come to an end, yet. You proclaim yourself a Dragonslayer? Wielding the Bane of Purity? You will soon see, that the cub's you have vanquished, carried no candle to the real threat..." He sneered wildly, as his fist clenched again. Then, as she spoke she would mount his head to her wall, his eyes widened with a flame igniting, that caused many of her minions to cower in fear. Gas and red soon formed in his mouth, before with a roar he sent a flaming ball towards the nearest part of her walls, blasting rocks, stone and any other material it was build from, in pieces, crumbling to the ground. "I spit upon your walls! They could not even carry my head, should it be removed!" He roared, gazing back at her, as she made her first leaping attempt of an attack.

His wing quickly retracted, avoiding her strike, before his body turned, attempting to lunge his hand at her, and grab her arm, as she followed her attack, now attempting to slice at his head. Should he catch her arm, he would quickly spin around, and attempt to throw her at the wall, close to the hole he had made before. Should her not catch it, he would make a swift attempt to swipe her away, as he leaped backwards, rocks and earth crumbling bellow his feet.
"Your weak form, will never stand a chance at my head, Hybrid! You where breed to be pawns! Pawns to fight the weaker of our kind's wars! The Gold. The Red. Even the White Dragons, cried for aid in their battles, and made you! My kind! I! Never had tha weakness! I crumbled titans between my fingers, before you were even procreated, cup!"

Void felt the brush of his claws as the raked her skin knocking her into the ground. She slid hit a rock and bounced smashing through a wall before rolling to a stop. Slowly she stumbled to her feat smoke rising from her body as the massive wounds sealed like a closing zipper. "So you think me weak Dinosaur" Her laughter rolled of the castle and surrounding mountains like thunder. A dragon lance could not be unmade which is why so few were needed. She began to walk towards the massive black beast. Her hand began to spin turning the lance into a whirling vortex of death and destruction. She could heal any wounds so long as her supply of Manna held out.

Void tried to flank the beast in her smaller form the dragon could not match her speed in a turn. More then one dragon fell to an enemy he could not see or touch. "You say i am weak, i say you are past you're prime" She tried to land on the monsters back. If that failed she could roll under the beast. True on top the scales were strongest but also large easy to stab between. "And slavery is far better then extinction" She laughed musing at the idea of the beast trying to mount her. Her titan like body might even be able to take him all. She ran under or on top of him towards his head.

"I don't feel very dead, and my home is far grander then any humans and already i mount more then one head" She used her spinning lance as a shield to any magic based attack. Levering it to the side she blew a gust of cold air turning the water in it into ice shards. They were as big as a man tall and sharper then a sword. She moved quickly blowing more ice to seal its legs in place. "Come now dragon did you come simply to kill another dragon kin" Why was he there she could not fathom the reason for his appearance.

As his attack prevailed, he turned his gaze her way, his eyes narrowing lightly. He knew, it would not be easy. She wasn't weak. Only weaker then him. Which didn't say a lot. Being weaker then him, wasn't necessarily an insult. He was one of the oldest, even before they grew extinct. He was the strongest, his kind had to offer in the past. And now, he was the only one. Life destroyed, by the ones he proclaimed allies. Family slaughtered, by the hands of Blacksmiths and overgrown rocks. His race, never again to rise. But he would have them remember! He would have the genocidal murderers remember, who was once the strongest. Who deserved those mountains, they now called home. He would have them burn, in the fires of his fury. And it all had to start some place. And it would start here.

As she charged towards him again, he sneered lightly, his eyes trying to follow the fast giant, as she sprinted around, proclaiming herself strong, as he only sneered and growled, awaiting her strike. "You are not weak.. Only.. Weaker!" He roared, as she tried to jump upon his back, his wings swaying menacingly to stop that idea, when she proceeded to roll between his legs instead. He slammed his fist to the ground, only barely missing her nimble body in his strike. As legs was frozen in place, and he growled with a narrowed gaze towards her. And the second she mentioned his current state, his eyes widened in a frustrated state of fury, flames now raising from his nostrils, before he spit flames to the ice, easily breaking it, before his wings, with a single swipe, sent him with surprising speed towards her, attempting to place his hand upon her throat, and slam her back to the ground.
"Extinction! Did not weaken me! And continue this.. Bickering.. And your kind.. Will become completely extinct!" He roared. If he had managed to get her down, he would quickly throw her away again, this time aming for the bulk of her army, following the throw with a wall of flame, spit in her direction. "I came here.. To remind you.. That you are not the strongest! That you are still weak, in the footsteps of the pure, who you so eagerly helped to extinct! Once, your own kin! But no longer! You ruined that bond.. Never will you be part, of what once was.. Because.. You.. Destroyed it!" He roared, slamming his fist to the ground, sending a shockwave towards her, to accompany the wall of flame.

She felt him grasp her body in a bone crushing embrace the lance falling from her hand. She watched him smash her into the ground as if outside of her own body. Leaping into the air she avoided both the first fire wave and the blast. The score of fireballs struck knocking her to the ground as a smoking ball. Some of her scales were flaking of turned int charcoal by the blast. She used some of he manna but could not get all the way back to one hundred percent.

She stood up calling the lance to her speed and strength were both weakened by the last blow. In a war of attrition she would never emerged the victor. She continued her assault she would never simply role over and die. She formed a ball of ice manna in one hand shaping it into a sphere. "So what of the bond even before that we were dying fighting over little spits of land" Dragons were to strong to independent to live together.

She went for broke she would have to kill him from the inside get him to swallow her. She threw everything into the next attack almost eroding her defenses completely away. If he hit her again she might die or just loose conscious thus be killed. "Is that all you want, so pathetic i would ask for more, i would bring back the old dragons any way i could" She laughed as she threw the ball of manna and charged a do or die move.

If the ball hit it would not encase him but free all over in spikes that would weigh him down. Her plan was to distract him get in his mouth and cut him down from the inside. In the air she could see just how big he was. Was he big enough to swallow her and if so would she be able to cut him even from the inside. "One of us dies today" She roared.

He saw her body weaken. She had no way, of matching his strength, and she knew it. She would have to find better plans. She would have to defeat him through wit and agility. But even in wit, his strength wasn't weak. He would not be out mastered, with a simple trick. He would not bow down to her, through her mighty speed. He. Would not be defeated today. He had been before, and his legacy. His heirs. His loves. Had all been destroyed. Slaughtered, by the hands of pretended 'Dragonslayers'. There was a time, where man and Dragon made war. And a Dragonslayer, was the man who took down a dragon, single handedly, and not with scorns of men and machines. But now, the name of Dragonslayers had been decreased to grumpy old men, as the Dragon's had gone into myths.

As she continued speaking, his eyes narrowed, once again, observing her, as he awaited her strike, his resilience and endurance able to withstand much more, then what it had already gotten. A mountain of a creature, it would take several of her likes, to take him down. But on the other hand. He admired her resilience. She didn't stop. She didn't bend. Like a true Dragonkin. The ones, he used to know. Reminding him a lot of his first mate. The one, that had now been taken from him. And as she mentioned his ambitions, his eyes widened lightly again, once again in great fury, just as her spell his his chest, causing him to growl loudly. But in the blink of an eye, he blast his own flames at his right arm, melting the ice slowing it, and his hand quickly snapped out for her, in an attempt to grab her, and stop what ever idea she had. He wasn't going to eat her. He wasn't going to kill her. He wanted her humiliated. Defeated. He wanted her bent, to the greater Dragon. He kept telling himself, that was all he wanted. But in truth. He wanted more.

Had he gotten a grip of her, he moved her down in front of him, trying to imprison her between both his hands, to keep her in place. One hand, though, quickly grabbed for the sword, fingers tightening around it, causing light cuts to his hand. And should she not let go, as he started pulling, her arm would end up dislocating, due to the amount force he put into it. Either way, he would pull the sword from her fingers, weather after he immobilized her arm, or when her fingers slipped. He threw the sword aside, and imprisoned her in his fingers, once again.
"I.. Can not restore the glory.. My race once carried.. They where all destroyed.. Slaughtered. Ripped to shreds. Remember? Everything I once had.. A nest.. Cubs.. Mates.. All destroyed, by Titans and Dwarves.. Even my youngest... Little cubs.. Your size. Squealing for help, before the Titans ripped their scales off, and pierced their hearts... The old Dragons.. Is dead. There is only me.." His voice was now darker, and more silent. Sorrow, that had been concealed by rage, now stepped lightly through his words, but not his expression. That, as furious as ever. His hands then started tightening around her waist, most certainly in a painful way, as he attempted to immobilize her body, to the brim, where she would need to rest, in order for it to restore. She would, however, restore. Being still majorly a Dragon, her Dragon blood would heal her body, back to a normal state again.
"There is only my anger left.. No hope for reinforced glory.. Only vengeance. My revenge exacted, upon those who caused this. But in order to do this.. I need my strength to return, after many years of sleep. And that.. Is what I am doing. You will submit, to the one greater.. And that is I.. And then.. You can live on, however you wish.. As long as you know.. As long as you remember... You.. Are not.. The strongest." He now growled, in a dominant, telling tone, that no longer seemed like a furious roar, with only death and destruction in it's mind. But that of a creature, that wanted his place back. His place, as the dominant species.

Void was vanquished her body heaved just to take in another mouth full of fresh air. She did not want to give her life anymore then he seemed to want to take her life. She lay there under his claws trying not to let her life fade away. "And what be you're stooge" She laughed pain shot through her body. It would take hours for her to recovered enough to even think about fighting. She went limp she closed her eyes she had to rest she was tired so tired. She began to sleep on windswept peak battles ragging all around her. Her men seeing her bested were broken, they ran or gave up. She slept for hours if not days soaking up the ambient magic of the world.

"Oh you're still here" She could only see a shadow a blurry outline of wings and claws. Perhaps she could trick him into humans form and kill him. Or run into some space his massive form could not follow, and what hide for the rest of her life. What did he want from her dragon and dragon kin had nothing in common. She rolled to her side and tried to get up. Her body shook n fear, dragonfear the terror a dragon gave off in waves. The powerful aura of fear that could kill lesser creatures, knock them out or just cause insane fear in them. "What do you want with me" She asked as she slowly pulled herself to her feet perhaps as a dragon she would have a chance.

"Should you not be off gloating about you're victory my defeat" She smiled using the wall to support her body. Her lance lay out of reach behind the dragon. She had no clue what use such an ancient beast would have for her. "So what am i too be, a trophy look how strong i am" She asked looking into he eyes. She was lonely she was angry, she was afraid. She wanted to belong to something, someone, just to be part. Dragonkin did not get along so much as they followed the orders of those stronger then they. She moved closer a strange feeling in the back of her head. Something like a valve being turned, a warmth spread over her cold body.
