Orid gazed upon upon the golden pocket watch, an impatient expression clearly seen on his face. They were late. The 5'9 tall crimson eyed, dark haired built Dhamphir hated doing dealings with the nobles of the Underdark. Well, he hated doing dealing with Drow in general. It didn't matter where he went, whether it be a city with in a Drow Empire out in some rich part of space or even in a more peaceful realm or plane.
Every three out of five dealings he's had with Drow had always resulted in betrayel, death of his crewmen aboard his ship "The black hook, or worse: Being stood up. Oh, normally he would have passed on this deal but the amount of gold they claimed they were going to bestow upon him to take this particular noble off world was enough to keep him and his crew well fed for days on end. Not to mention he would be getting a Drow of his own to service him in anyway possible.
Though he made sure that said contractor in question swore a magical oath.
Orid always had a fascination with Drow, finding a good amount of them willful and domineering. Oh there were Drow on the surface he weren't like the typical ones he found here; and he could always take them as his own slaves. However, the slaver had always wanted to break one on his own, and such an ample opprtunity would soon come. Granted, he would have to make sure he wasn't double crossed this time.
When he placed the pocket watch again, his ears picked up steps a couple of feet away. The caverns ahead of slaver were dark and narrow, save for his own torch. Placing his hand and gripping his broad sword gently. He began to call out:
"Who's there?"
"Orid von Einzbern, You know who I am." Called out the voice from the dark. Orid's eyes narrowed pulling out his blade. He really hoped it wasn't another betrayal.
"If you are who I think you are, you know the drill. Step carefully, or I will attack you."
"As you wish."
From the darkness, Several hooded figures stepped in all gazing at the slaver curiously.
"We have the package." Said the leader.
"And I have my ship. Where is she?"
"She's coming right now accompanied by a "good friend". "
