As Minerva turned on the sweetness and charm toward Lucius, Wendy just yawned lazily yet daintily. She wouldn't dare let it show just how much it fazed her that the girl was there looming over her as she was, dripping her venom and giving her the evil eye. When she finally left, she let out a sigh and smiled. "Hrm, a definite pleasure. To think you actually wasted a minute waiting on that. I'm surprised at you, Lucius," she said, a hint of coyness in her tone. "Then again, I suppose one must show compassion every now and then. It keeps morale up." She reached for her biscuit and took another nibble of her sweet treat. "Mmm..."
Wendy licked her lips in between bites, but not in any way that was crass or distasteful. She then set her pastry down and reached for her tea once more, her lips turned upward into a smile. After taking a few sips, she set the cup down and turned toward Lucius.
"So, are you walking me to class or will I merely be seeing you later at the cove for some quiet?" Wendy then asked, an air of confidence resounding in her voice.

Sydney had all she could do not to laugh as the twins talked a storm about their antics. They seemed a lively pair to say the least, very different from most she'd come across. It was rather refreshing and she had to admit it was nice to be laughing again. Only her friend, Noelle, had really been able to get her to laugh and that was hardly the same thing. After having a past such as her own--one so dark and murky, one she'd tried so hard to get over and was still trying to get over--she needd the distractions. Casually, she adjusted the band about her wrist, taking care that it covered up the malicious, cursed scar that forever marred the flesh beneath it, the reminder of what happened a few years back...
Just then, Sydney's attention turned toward another student. She quirked a brow at the dark-haired Slytherin who'd spoken up about his own pranks and jokes. He hardly seemed the sort to do such things. Then again, not everyone was as they seemed in this place or any place for that matter. And she was hardly one to judge. At that, the smile that had crept over her lips grew a bit broader.
Noelle had been listening to the conversations, but only somewhat. For some reason, her attentions felt somewhat scattered. It was rather disconcerting since she was normally a bit more focused than this. Perhaps it was the insults she'd heard earlier on--once while walking to the table and then again after sitting down with Sydney. It just made her uneasy and caused her hackles to rise. Something was brewing and felt off and she didn't like the impending sense of danger that she felt growing all about her. She'd been feeling it for a while now and it had gotten stronger since her return. A part of her had contemplated bringing it up to someone... anyone. But being the way she was, she feared dismissal.
Heaving a sigh, Noelle stared at the table and watched a cup suddenly appear. She grabbed at it without hesitation and not overly caring down the liquid immediately in just a few gulps. The tea was delicious, one of her favorite flavors and it made her smile. But the moment the cup was emptied she stared into the bottom of the cup. Her eyes fixed upon the leaves that had settled since interestingly enough her tea that had appeared hadn't been the traditional sort... no... there were tea leaves.
Noelle looked at the leaves, eying them carefully as she twisted the cup this way and that. She could hear the snickers of others as they watched her, but she tuned them out, not wanting to pay them any mind. But she saw it plain as day... Dark Mark. Feeling unsettled, she nearly tossed the cup aside onto the table though no one really noticed her jumpiness.
"Hey Freak, see anything good?" came a nearby voice. Noelle turned to see a Slytherin girl looking directly at her. She bit down on her lip and did her best to smile while shaking her head. "No?" the girl continued. "Not even anything about the guy I might end up with this year?" She snickered.
Noelle furrowed a brow and scooted away from Sydney, the twins and Snape a little bit. "No and why would it matter?"
"It matters plenty!" the girl exclaimed. "I want to know who my boyfriend will be or if..." she suddenly giggled. "I might end up with a hot professor." Her cheeks reddened suddenly. "You have to admit there are a lot of hot professors here."
Again, Noelle furrowed a brow. "I suppose so."
"Oh my god! You can't be serious! There's quite a handful that are!" the girl nearly shouted, her eyes becoming fierce as if she felt the need to convince Noelle that she needed to see reason. "Well, all except maybe one," she added with a laugh. "Fettel maybe not."
At the mention of Fettel, Noelle cocked her head to the side. She remembered seeing him earlier on when she entered the Great Hall. "Why not? He's rather handsome. He just needs to smile more," she said, her tone just slightly on the defensive.
The girl gasped. "What? Now I've heard everything! You truly are a Freak! Then again, it takes a freak to know a freak!" she said laughing so hard she could barely be understood.
Noelle just frowned. "What's wrong with him? If he smiled more his face would indeed be rather pleasant to look at." At that moment, she turned toward where Fettel was standing across the way. She caught sight of him and looked at him for several moments, her thoughts drifting a bit, suddenly imagining what it might be like if his lips touched her own.
"You've got to be joking! He has a bullet hole in his head!" the girl exclaimed. "And that's just one thing..."
"So," Noelle stated plainly, her lips frowning as her thoughts were suddenly interrupted. "He can't help his past. Who are you to judge him for it?" At that, she began to gather her books.
Sydney turned to look at her friend. "Heading to class?" she asked. Noelle just nodded as she got her things. She then turned toward the twins and Snape. "Want to head to class?" she asked them all.
Noelle just looked at Sydney. "You walk with them. I need to be alone for a bit. I'll see you later," she said. Sydney just nodded and looked back to the twins and Snape.

Nikki and Ellie ate the last bit of their breakfast with Stacey. They were eager to get to know their fellow housemate. So far, she seemed very nice and being a first year, they thought it would be fun to show her around the school later on, if she wanted. But for now, classes were getting ready to start.
"I can't believe the time already!" Ellie stated.
"I know," Nikki said as she finished up her food. "We have to get ready for class, though we should do something later perhaps."
"Ellie nodded. You want to meet up later?" Ellie asked Stacey. "There's lots to do either here at the castle or in Hogsdale. Being new, we'll leave that up to you. Though, regardless, we'll have to be back by midnight."
