Ilyza woke up shivering again, it was, perhaps the tenth night she woke up like this. Ten days ago, her life was peaceful, she had been living in a small elven village and, then, the slavers came, the humans. They overstepped their boundaries, but what could the elves do about it, iron was their weakness. They had burned down their houses, and had completely demolished the place that they had called home. Only, but a few managed to escape, and she was one of the lucky few that managed to escape.
It was late fall and it was about to get worse for her, if it wasn't already worse now. It had been worse for five days, ever since the first snow fall, signalling the change from late fall to winter. For five days, she had been going almost nonstop because the slavers had been able to find her because of the tracks she left in the snow. Elves were faster, stronger than humans by nature, but even without sleep and without food or nourishment, the elves became weaker. One that particular night, she had climbed high into a tree and had settled down to get, if she was lucky, a few hours of sleep. It had only been two hours when she heard their voices and their dogs. Only been two hours before she saw their torch lights burning in the near distance.
She groaned as she jumped down from the branch, landing solidly on her two feet. She was the human equivalent of 20 years old, had flowing bright red hair that fell in waves to the middle of her back and skin the color of alabaster china, with blood red lips that were like a single rose in a field of white snow. She had piercing blue eyes, and a very curvaceous form, wide hips from running, though, she was slim and weighed about 115 pounds, standing at about 5'7". She had C cup breasts, that were not too big, nor too small and that bounced with each step. She had toned legs and arms, slim, but curved as well from running and she was wearing a slim, tight fitting green dress that didn't leave much to the imagination as it was short cut, coming to the middle of her thighs and had a low V that dipped into her cleavage. She supposed that's why the slavers were so intent on getting her, they normally would have given up by now, but she had heard their lewd comments about them having fun with her before they sold her.
As she landed, she heard the dogs start up the howling, they had heard her and now the hunt was on, again. She took off sprinting, though, a bit weaker, the sleep had helped her regain at least energy to keep her going for two hours, then she would need food. She sprinted, the snow only slowing her down marginally as once again her tracks became visible. She didn't have time to walk, and carefully drag a brush over her tracks to hide them, now it was the time to run. She could hear the clumsy humans thrashing and running behind her and she also heard a dog nearby. She felt a searing pain ripple through her leg, a dog had caught up and had sunk her teeth into the back of her calf. She let out a cry of pain, she was desperate and needed to get away and fast as she kept running, kicking the dog with her other foot and knocking it loose. She gritted her teeth against the pain that rippled through her calf and sprinted faster, putting distance between herself and the hunters, as well as the dogs. Though, now it would be harder for her to hide as with each running step she took, left a smear of blood, like a rose on a field of white. Now it'd be almost impossible to hide as she kept sprinting forward. She made a quick prayer to the God that she had grown up to worship, asking him for help, any help at all, telling him that she didn't want to be caught. Then she focused on sprinting through the burning and rippling pain that almost made her knees buckle as she tried to put more distance between herself and the hunters.
