For the first time that day, Jenna felt relaxed, letting the hot water from the shower run over her petite, firm body. The rest of the day had been awkward, uncomfortable. It had months since she'd seen her father, and now that she was living with him, she knew that everything between them would be strained. It was her own fault that she ended up there in the first place though. If she had've told someone what he had done to her when she was younger, then she wouldn't have been forced to live with him when her mother died. But, she didn't, and now with nowhere else to go, she was stuck with him. The car ride had been quiet, only a few strained words here and there. When they arrived, she didn't even give him the chance to show her around. She simply found the room where her boxes had been placed, grabbed pajamas out of one of them and made her way into the bathroom.
Tipping her head back, she let the water soak her long, dark auburn hair. She'd already finished washing herself a good ten minutes before, but she still wasn't ready to get out. The sooner she got out meant the sooner she had to deal with her dad. It was something she wished she could, but knew she wouldn't be able to put off much longer. She knew that she needed to gain a better attitude, after all, acting miserable wouldn't help her get through it. Still, she couldn't help but think about what he had done to her years before. Then, she hadn't known any better, but now she knew how wrong it was. All she could do was hope that by now he had changed.
