Rafe had been curious about this woman, this student that claimed dominion over life and fertility. There had been many a wild rumor fluttering about her. From that she claimed to be a living goddess, to that she was the embodiment of spring and could make it storm if she cried, or bloom if she beamed with happiness. There were...other rumors as well. But Rafe had dismissed them out of hand that something like that could be true, it was just petty high school bickering, most likely from the jealous. This was because her powers made her quite popular, and Rafe was certain he could be just as popular if he publicized what he could do.

All of the students at this school had certain...unusual talents. Some were subtle, some were overt. Some seemed finicky and some had great power. Rafe himself was a self-styled necromancer. Not all of it was himself, sometimes the dead spoke to him without him trying to. It had been terrifying and difficult to understand as a child, but fortunately he came through it with sanity and soul intact. But he didn't broadcast what he could do. Certainly, some of the students here couldn't wait to show off their abilities, and others like Rafe were just more reserved.

Rafe had short, neatly kept silvery hair in a somewhat androgynous pixie cut. He had green eyes and pale skin that seemed to match the assumed countenance of someone with his mastery. Normally, he was content to be left to himself, but today was going to be a different day. She was just so intriguing and he had to find out for himself what of the rumors were true. Was she really some sort of goddess? Her power seemed to come easy enough to her. Maybe those other rumors had a shred of truth to them as well. He sighed a bit and slowly walked up behind her, keeping a few yards between them and he summoned up his strength from the deep pit of his guts. "So...is what they say about you true?"

Clara was eating alone. She usually did, it didn't seem to bother her all that much. When she had first started at the school she thought things would be great but when news hit of what she could actually do things changed quickly and it wasn't easy for the girl with fertility powers. The friends she had made before then trickled away and the new people that approached her always wanted something. There were rumors she could do things like increase your size for a period of time and that made her most popular. Rumors she could increase the fertility of the people, or the land if she worked her "magic." But no one had seen her work, and those that had never spoke of it, for fear her powers just might work in reverse as well.

She had heard some of the crazier rumors. Being an actual goddess was one of them, there was another rumor, considered to be so crazy it couldn't be true. The rumor that she had both sexual parts. She didn't know how it got out, but that one was true. She had been pantsed once when someone decided it was time to find the truth. She sighed thinking about it and went back to eating her lunch. Her long auburn hair was pulled back into a loose tail her bangs swept to the side, honey brown eyes looked through black rimmed stylish glasses. Today, she wore a white tanktop with a black hooded zipper shirt over it. She wore beige boy shorts, but not the tight sexy kind, actual boy's shorts. They were long and went to her knees. She never wore tight pants, always seeming to wear men's cloths from the waist down. It made it impossible to confirm or deny whether that particular rumor was true. She wore a simple black pair of running shoes. She had always been a tomboy, despite her sexy figure and large breasts, her tank top low cut and revealing a generous amount of cleavage. But, despite her beauty that one rumor that she might have a penis kept the boys away.

Other then this boy. She heard the voice behind and and cocked a brow. She turned slowly to see who he was. She only vaguely recognized him as one of the guys that stayed out of the way, not boasting about whatever they could do. She rolled her eyes before turning back to her food. "They say a lot of things, you're going to have to be more specific." She replied with a sarcastic tone. She couldn't be sure what he was after but everyone that approached her was after something. She took another bite of food with her back to him, she didn't seem all that interested in what he had to say.

One might expect someone of Rafe's abilities to be wearing a lot of black with chains and metal and probably piercings everywhere, but that just wasn't it. He was wearing sharp mocha brown slacks with a nice defined crease in them, and a white pressed button-up shirt and a black sleeveless vest over it. He looked at her, taking in her attire and her demeanor before he slowly pondered her question, mulling it over in his mind before her got closer to her, looking over her shoulder. He smiled just a bit, a playing smile. "Well...tell me which ones are true and which ones aren't? People say a lot of wild stuff about you and it's tough to separate the truth from the bullshit. I'm just...curious about you. You seem so popular...well...with a certain crowd that is. I'm not looking for anything but the truth."

Clara looked up at him, trying to play him off like he wasn't bothering her, like she could care less, but he was asking the questions she didn't want asked. She sighed, putting annoyance into her voice as she spoke. "Do you expect me to know everything people say about me?" She didn't turn around to look at him, keeping her eyes focused on her food. She did snicker when he said she was popular. That had some truth to it. People interested in what she could do flocked to her.

"Besides that, you come over here and don't even bother to introduce yourself? I don't know you from Adam and you're asking for my life story?" She shook her head and went on with her lunch. It was at this point when most of the people who were curiosu about what she could do either walked away or asked something of her. It didn't matter much to her either way.

"I suppose you're right, sorry. I don't know where my manners are today..." He stepped around and sat sat across from her, pulling out half of a hoagie sandwich from a lunch bag and starting to eat on it before he spoke to her. "My name is Rafe, I'm a first year here. I was just curious, I mean I hear a lot of wild things about people here, but they're the wildest about you. And that sort of thing intrigues me. I really fascinates me, I'm drawn to it, so I came to the source and I wanted to know if they were true or not. I'm not the kind of person to just sit by and listen...so do you really make people...bigger? Do you control the weather and make vegetables huge, do you determine when spring comes and goes?" He seemed excited, abuzz with energy.

She let out a soft chuckle. People rarely sat with her to eat their lunch, not unless they really wanted something and were doing their best to be casual about it. Though oddly enough he did not have that kind of I-need-help look in his eyes that most people had coming to her. She laughed when he said the wildest was about her. She listened to what he said and rolled her eyes. She took her time before responding. "Yes, I can make people bigger, boys and girls. I don't control the weather and while I do not control the vegetables I can super charge the soil. I am not a spirit of spring, I think Lia does the seasons." she inclined her head to a girl at another table wearing a flower crown.

"So Rafe, what do you do?" She asked him, more making idle conversation then anything else. Sometimes when people wanted things form her it was better to trade favors then money. Though, she was having trouble figuring out what the wanted. He seemed to be genuinely interested in just knowing about her, which couldn't be possible because everyone always wanted something.

He laughed a bit, almost losing hold of his sandwich. "Really?! People go up to you and seriously ask you to make them bigger?! That's hilarious! Does anyone ask for the other stuff you can do? I mean, your powers must have some broad applications. Tell me you come from a farm, that would be so appropriate..."

He chuckled a bit and shrugged his shoulders, eating some more, like he hadn't had good food in a long time. Rafe smiled just a bit as he looked at her, pausing as if waiting for something before he finally talked. "It's nothing special really. Don't worry about it, it's nothing impressive at all. I'm more interested in what you can do. What are the specifics? I mean is there a catch or something? Can you...create life from nothing? Or is it just a matter of magnifying life where it exists? Is it even about life, or is it just about reproduction?"
