In all honesty, she had wanted to go with them....after what had happened, she felt more comfortable, more at home down in the living world than she did here....but her brother had insisted, and the others wouldn't have allowed her to go anyway. So now, Rukia was here on the Kuchiki estate, being waited on hand and foot by the house servants, even the smallest of physical tasks taken out of her hands, all in the name of her 'resting' and 'recovering her strength' as her brother had put it. Rukia knew he felt guilty....knew that he was trying to attone for what he had done....or at least that was the way she figured it anyway.
Rukia sighed as she came down the stairs from her room, dressed in simple white robes, trying to sneak her way to the kitchen without being seen. She wanted something to eat, and she'd be damned if she was going to let someone else do it for her. Slowly, silently, she managed to creep into the kitchen, smirking as she started to pull some food out to make herself some sandwhiches, starting to hum to herself, glad to finally be doing things for herself after the past week.
