The day cold and rainy Sophia sighed. It had only been a day since she and her parents fought."you're to young to live alone," they said. But she ignored them and decided to leave. That very day after her taxi stopped at her brother's. She looked at it longingly with hope of a new life. Hastily she got out of the cab with her bags making her way for her brother's steps.
She knocked, and waited. Her heart pounded as she waited scared that her brother would send her away.

There really hadn’t been too much for Dante to do on this cold and rainy day. He had already done most of what he needed to do, which only really involved cleaning up around his home. Now all he had to do was to find something else to do to keep himself occupied. What that was going to be, he didn’t really know just yet, but he was sure that he would find something to do. Well, he was hoping that he would be able to find something to do, mainly because he hated being bored around his home. After he had finished tidying up, he had taken a look out of his window and noticed just how cold and rainy it looked outside. Any thoughts he had of going out went right out of the window as soon as he saw what it was like outside.

Dante had just sat down on his couch to watch television when he heard a knock on his door. ”Great, I wonder who that could be?” He muttered to himself. Afterwards, he got to his feet and made his way out of the living room and over to his door. Dante opened up his door, and when he saw who was standing at his door, there was a surprised look on his face. It was his sister, Sophia, and she had…bags…and lots of them with her. ”Sophia….what are you doing here?” He asked in a curious tone. He stepped aside, allowing her entry into his home, and then he looked down to the bags in her hands. ”What’s in the bags?” He asked as he waited for her to come inside.

Her face had lit up when she seen him. Taller than her like always she smiled. "Dante!" She cried dropping her bags as she hugged him. Letting go of him long enough to carry her bags in, she turned to him.
"I'm sorry for such short notice." She mumbled. "But I was wandering if I could stay with you." Her voice was soft as she explained what happened in the past day.

Dante was still surprised to see his sister standing at his door with her bags, but he returned the hug that she had given him. After doing so, he waited for her to enter his home, and when she was inside, he closed the door behind her. Dante motioned her into the living room, and then he followed her into the living room. Once inside the living room, he took a seat back on the couch and picked up the television remote before he started flicking through the channels once again.

He turned his attention back to her as she was explaining what had happened and why she had shown up at his door. ”I must admit that this is short notice Sophia. Very short notice at that. Sure, I was expecting you to pay me a visit sometime, but I didn’t think you were going to come round and ask to stay a while.” He paused for a moment as he thought over her question. ”But I don’t mind if you stay here for a while. I’ve got the spare bedroom you can take anyway. You can stay as long as you need to if you’re having problems with mom and dad. I’m sure they won’t mind as long as they know you are here.”

She looked down to her feet nervously. "About that," she said quietly. "They don't know I came here."

Dante looked back to his sister and tilted his head to the side slightly as he had heard what she had said. As he did, he raised an eyebrow. He was silent for a few moments, and he shifted on the couch a little bit before he responded to her. ”Okay, so if mom and dad don’t know you are here….where do they think you are?” He asked in a curious tone. ”After all, it’s like I said.” He said to her. ”I’m sure they won’t mind you staying here as long as they know you are here. You do know you are going to have to tell them you are here at some point, don’t you? They are only going to worry about you, and then they will probably end up calling me too and asking me if I have seen you.” He spoke in a serious tone this time round. ”Wait a minute….why didn’t you tell mom and dad that you were coming here?” He did wonder just why she hadn’t told their parents where she was going. That did seem strange to him.

She tensed her hands beginning to sweat at his sudden questions. "Dante I don't want them to know where I am." She sighed. "I just need to calm down for a few days you know?" Her expression was sad and she felt vulnerable. It had been a while since she was ever this nervous.

Dante could see how nervous his sister seemed to look, and it did make him wonder just what had gone on between their parents and her to cause her to pack her bags and come straight to his place without telling them. He thought on what she was saying to him for a few moments more before he eventually nodded his head. ”Okay, if you really don’t want them to know that you’re here….then I won’t tell them. You already know that I’ve got the spare bedroom upstairs, so you can take that for a few days.” He paused for a moment before continuing. ”But you know you are going to have to tell them where you are eventually, don’t you…..even if you don’t tell them for a few days.” He didn’t really know if she was going to listen to him or not, but he could only hope that she would. After all, he knew just how much their parents would end up worrying. ”Anyway, why don’t you take your stuff up to the spare room. I will get us something to eat okay. I could always order us a pizza or something….that is if you’re hungry.”

"Sounds good." She says calmly. As she carried her stuff to the spare bedroom she sat on the bed.

There was a small smile on Dante’s face as his sister had made her way out of the living room and up the stairs to the spare room. As surprised as he was to have his sister with him, he still couldn’t help but feel a little happy at the same time. He did think that the company would be nice, but still, he couldn’t really understand what had gone so wrong between her and their parents. As curious as he was about it, he had already decided that he wasn’t going to ask her anymore about it. Well, he wasn’t going to ask her anything more about it just yet at least. Maybe he would the next day, or in a few days, but not just yet. Shortly after she had made her way up the stairs, Dante got to his feet and walked over to the phone. He picked up the phone and dialled the number for the local pizza place. After doing so, he proceeded to order two large pizzas. One was a Meat Feast, and the other was just cheese and tomato. He also made sure to order a large bottle of drink, and even some ice cream. He was told that that the order would take around thirty minutes. Dante set the phone back down before moving back over towards the couch once again.
