Alethia Constance Im'agin rode in silence her hands folded in her lap. It had been over a week ago that her little carriage had left her home heading for her new life. She was the princess of Tray D'nim the most beautiful and peaceful land that could ever be known. She was to be married to the most amazing man that could ever have existed, they were going to be so happy and never have any worries. At least that was the thoughts that had been going through her mind right up until that fateful day. She had begged the knights to let her stop in a glade and just enjoy the scenery for a moment. However the moment that the carriage had stopped and she had gotten out all hell broke loose.

All around her knights had fallen pierced by arrows only a few remained standing and the horde of bandits that charged them easily overwhelmed and put them to the sword. Soon only the princess remained and she just curled into the carriage like a good girl praying they didn't kill her too. Luckily for her, or perhaps unluckily depending on the outlook, they had other plans for her. This hadn't been just some random raid, they meant to capture her, they had been paid a high price for her delivery.

That had been about a week ago if her reckoning of time was right, though they had drugged her for the first few days to keep her quiet. So she wasn't sure how long she had been on the road, but she knew they weren't in her father's kingdom any more. Nor any kingdom that she knew off, they had passed over the Azure mountains three days ago. That was as far as Alethia's knowledge went, she knew only that this was no place for her.

Brushing a hand through her long copper red curls she looked out of the carriage at the solid wall of trees on both sides. Her emerald green eyes looked for any land mark that would tell her where she was or how far from home she really was. Shivering slightly she leaned back having seen nothing. She had no idea where she was or how she would ever get home. The tears that had been pouring down her face for much of the last few days threatened to come again.

Suddenly there was a loud crash and the cry of horses as the carriage stopped dead. Pulling herself from the floor Alethia lifted the curtain of the carriage and gasped in shock. There was a knight out there, full armor all black and shining in the light of late day. He was cutting through the bandit with ease. She tried to see the crest on his shield or armor but the angle wasn't right she could only wait till the battle was over, hoping the knight won.
