Alex pulled up into the drive way of his home putting the parking brake on. Leaning back in the seat of his F-350 diesel pick up just letting himself take in the sight. It had been about a year since he was home, having been away at college. Honestly he found that he missed it more then he thought he could have. Not just because it was the first time that he had been away from home for so long but he also had been missing his best friend, his younger sister.
The two of them were just two years apart but that hadn't put any kind of damper on their relationship. Ever since they had been young the two had been the best of friends. They loved each other more than could be said and more than once they both had gone out an either beaten down or verbally assaulted someone that had hurt the other. They had both cried on each other's shoulders when someone had hurt them, both been there through everything. They were the best of friends and knew that the other one would be there no matter what happened. It was this closeness that he had missed with her something the he had never been able to share with anyone else. Not even his parents had been that close to him, and defiantly not his latest wreck of a girlfriend.
Pushing those thoughts away he grabbed his bags and took them inside through the garage closing the door behind him. He brushed his shoulder length blonde hair back from his face as he left his bags there going into the living room to see if anyone was home. His crystal clear blue eyes scanned the room looking for his mom or dad who were normally there watching TV or something. "Hello? Anyone home?"
