Henric Cooper move silently through the back alleyway. His soft soled shoes allowed the eighteen year old fox-coon to move silently no matter the terrain. Added to that was the three years that he had trained carefully under the instructions of his father's letters. Sly Cooper the master thief, and later the supposed partner of inspector Carmelita Fox of Interpol who later became his wife, had died when Henric was only fifteen. It left the boy feeling slightly lost and confused. He had only known the lawful side of his father though had seen a few records in his mother's office that spoke of a totally different Sly Cooper.
After the funereal Henric had found a pocket safe in his father's belongings that held a clue which had led Henric to find another safe. This one contained nearly a hundred letters from his father, as well as a large battered book which contained all the secrets needed to become the master thief that every Cooper became at some time in their life.
Reading the stories of the Cooper clan, Henric and learned the lessons both how to become a thief but also the honor that a Cooper always held himself too. After that he tested himself over and over till he became perfect at many of the needed tricks of the trade. Now was the time to put them truly to the test.
He noticed the telltale glow around a drain pipe which he quickly scaled moving toward the skylight on the roof. This building belonged to Fenris the Wolf, the biggest gangster, if tales were to be believed, in the world. He had his fingers in every pie that existed. However the thing that Henric was after was something a little more special, the Alton Emerald, it was said to give the owner unbelievable power, though the kind of power wasn't clear.
