Why ya wanna know?
The sound of children laughing filled the noon summer air of the village. Kids in dirty clothes, tossing a ball around and running through the street, while some of their parents sat on old wooden boxes beside the stone buildings that were falling apart as people worked around and inside them. Through all this a brown hair girl walked along a wood beam that connected two houses together. She trotted on the wood with a cocky smirk as she sang some song.

This was normal in the broken part of the kingdom. Where the poor and starving people lived.

A young boy that only looked about nine cheered with the other kids before a smirk of his own came across his face. "Don't fall!" He yelled teasing the girl dancing on the beam above them. "Fall? Oh that's precious!" She teased back. Before jumping off the beam and flipping over so she laided on her hands, in a quick movement she pushed up, letting her flip again and laid on her feet. She bowed with that same smirk on her face.

It only took a second for the kids to freak out and start laughing and cheer again. Latching onto the female's legs and waist.

This was also normal. For Amber anyway.

"Yes father, mother." She softly replied, the young girl said as the chamber maid brushed the young girl's hair, she sat quietly as the older woman ran the brush through the thick blonde hair. The young girl by the name of Evelyn just stared at the polished metal on the wall that shined and reflected her. Evelyn was pale and small, which earned her the name little bird by her mother and most of the people in the castle.

Yet even being the princess and loved by a lot of people, Evelyn felt like a stranger in her own body. Born dead and cursed; she was treated like a China doll her whole life. When he mother gave birth to her, Evelyn wasn't breathing and her skin was more pale than it should have been; she'd been proclaimed dead when she started moving. The doctors helped her in breathing and soon enough she was breathing, and more importantly, crying.

"Your majesty, I'm finished." Evelyn looked at her chamber maid before smiling, the older woman got up to shut the door and help Evelyn get dressed. The young girl stood up, her pale blond hair came down to her shoulder blades in wispy, light long layers. Her hair almost looked white, just like her flawless snow white skin.
The princess was cursed, the doctor didn't know what to call it. Pale skin, pale hair, and silvery-green eyes; it made the princess nothing like her parents who's hair and eyes were that of brown. Magicians and wizards of all kinds tried to break the curse, but none could. Evelyn sometimes wondered, was this really a curse?

"Princess." This broke Evelyn out of her thoughts and she smiled slightly, her pale pink Cupid bow lips turned up at the corners as she did. "You mustn't make your parents wait." The chamber maid said as she started helping the young girl get dressed; Evelyn had to be careful, she couldn't get dressed seeing, with the simplest of swipes, cut her skin and she bruised like a peach.
She softly gasped as the chamber maid tightened her dress, she was sure she would have a bruise there later on, it was also the reason she wore a veil, she sometimes bumped into something and bruised her face.

Evelyn headed down to the waiting carriage, a dress of dark red, white, and gold and a lacy veil over her face being held by her tiara, the veil also covered her hair, hiding it from spectators eyes; she headed in and leaned against the window. Her mother and father quietly spoke about charities, hearing petitions from the poor, endow hospitals and monasteries; it sounded like a busy day for them. 'This corset is going to hurt after a few hours.' Evelyn thought to herself as she watched everything quietly, people asked about her, or more like the lack of seeing the princess. Her parents hid her most of the time, hiding her hair, her skin, and her face; if people saw they would find about about the curse of the princess.

A rain of gold showered down to the children. What was the cause? Amber of course! The teen was laughing as she emptied her pockets. Twirling around the dirty street and dancing through the fallen houses that were home to a few orphans. Children were screaming in joy and grabbing the coin and rushing to their nearby parents or shoving it in their pockets.

The charming female slid to the side, grabbing an empty barrel sitting by a house and beating on it like a drum. Filling the street with a face paced beat, causing kids to smile and dance around. This was heaven for Amber. The smiles and laughs of people around her warmed her heart. Her long brown hair was blowing in the mid day wind, along with her clarret red cape. She wore doeskin breeches that fit her perfectly. Not a crinkle to be seen. But to complete the women's attire was a sewn green shirt. Barely being held with it's thread. It was an odd outfit indeed. From her black dirt covered work boots to the wine red cape. But it matched her charm. This girl looked like a female robin hood.

tlot-tlot-tlot

All the kids were still jumping around with joy but Amber froze, stopping the beat.

tlot-tlot-tlot

'What? There is no way...the king and queen don't come down here!' The girl yelled in her head, starting the beat back up again, figuring the sound of horses appoarching was just her imagtion.

Evelyn softly sighed, she kept looking out the window as the vast land of the rich started vanishing and the poor lands started to show, the young princess watched the crumbling houses that passed by and the children that were as dirty as the houses. Evelyn didn't really turn her nose up at the lower classes, unlike her parents she sometimes dreamed of just being a normal young girl, not a princess.
It was then that she saw a little boy playing around, he was running around with a few other then accidently ran in front of the carrige.

"Watch out!" She yelled as she jolted up from her seat and looked out the window, the horses stopped, her side hitting hard against the window. "Ow." She softly muttered, the carrige came to a stop as the guards started yelling at the boy. Evelyn glared at them slightly, but didn't say anything as her mother pulled her back in, yelling at her for acting unlady like.
It was then that she heard the guards yelling turn to someone else, Evelyn looked over to what it was and noticed a girl with brown hair; she watched the other girl with excited eyes. Evelyn leaned slightly out the window, her pale hair caught in the wind as she watched the scene before her eyes.

The look of hate presented itself on Amber's face as she glared at the driver of the carrige. "How about you watch where your going." She growled as she watched the boy dash off. Terrified. Several others did the same. Except for a few teen boys that sat nearby. Looks of hate in their eyes as well. It didn't take long for the thief to atract the attention of some knights that were riding along side of the king and queen. What seemed to be the leader of the troops stepped foward on his horse of coal black.

"Well if it isn't our favorite old street rat. " He smirked before laughing along with a few others. "Aww. I'm your favorite?" The girl cooed and smirk of her own on her face. The look of amused look faded from the man's face as his eyes went cold. "Get her.".

He commaned, causing the other guards to kick into gear as they all charged Amber. "Tch." She mocked before grabbing the hilt of her sword and smoothly pulling it out of it's sheath and clashing it went a man's. No one could touch her. The way she danced around the well trained knights and mocked them was astounding.

"That the best you got?" Amber teased, curling her finger calling the men over to fight her.

Evelyn watched with wide eyed, her hands strained to hold her body up as it leaned more than a little out the window, the ache was nothing and just got pushed to the back of her mind. Her mother looked at the fight with a look of disgust, fanning herself as he nostrils flared at the stench of the poor. "Such a gastly child, all peasents act like this, as if raised by the livestock and they smell like they've been living in the hog pent." Her mother spat out, Evelyn kept watching. "She's an amazing fighter." The cursed princess said as she raised herself up on the tips of her toes, her father looked at her with a look of disgust.

"Do not admire that thing, little bird. That is neither a woman nor a man; it's an abomination. A woman of the right state of mind, should act more like a woman than that of an animal." Evelyn ignored everything her father said, she was so taken back by the girl, all she could hear was the clashing of swords and the other girl grunts as she fought back with the knights. Evelyn could feel her heart speed up a little as she watched this girl, never had Evelyn felt like this towards to someone, not even the princes of the other kingdoms.

She wanted to talk to her, Evelyn wanted to know who she was...she wanted for this girl to protect her. It was such an odd feeling, her racing and fluttering heart. The young princess pulled off her veil as she kept watching, the strong wind kept whipping her hair all around her face as she pulled more than half her body out of the window, she wished she could jump out and run away from her parents; like something out the storybooks she loved.

The cocky smirk left Amber's face as it shifted to a look of shock. Her eyes caught glispe of the most amazing thing she had ever seen. Was that...the princess? Her blood red eyes met the princess's as everything went in slow mo. Wait...red? That was...odd. This girl had red eyes, but they weren't ugly or scary...they were...astounding. Their gazes met for only a second tilt a sharp sword stabbed into her side. She had been so distracted she forgot what was going on.

"Hey!" A teen boy shouted as he watched Amber fall, he was being held back by his friends so he would run forward to help the girl.

She stood slowly, gripping her side as blood dripped down her leg and waist. She had to run. She spun around and ran, jumping up on some boxes to get to the roof of a build. She paused, her back facing the knights yet they could hear her clearly.

"You consider me an animal. An abomination. But I disagree. You are wealthy. Not in gold. But in simply...greed.". And with that she disappeared, running along the roof tops to get away.

No one spoke. The children weren't laughing. Parent's weren't smiling. Everything....had just seemed to lost it's enchantment as the girl left.

A small girl that only looked about 6 or 7 appeared from the shadows. Her dress ripped and covered in dirt with an old teddy bear in her arms she sniffled. Tears rolling down her young cheeks. "Why did you do that to Amber?" She asked, before an older girl grabbed her wrist and pulled her away.

"Because they're monsters." She replied as the pair left. Everyone heard them. They simply didn't care.

"Evelyn Maria Notte, get back in here!" Her mother yelled as she grabbed the young girl's wrist and pulled her into the carrige, Evelyn pulled against her. Her mother tightened her grip on the younger's wrist and caused a sharp yelp as she stopped fighting back and let her mother pull her in, Evelyn's head hit the top of the window with a soft 'clunk'.

"Ow!" She lightly yelled as she grabbed onto the back of her head, her skin had ripped open and blood started dripping out from between her fingers as she placed pressure on the injury. Evelyn looked at her mother with scared and fearful eyes, her mother had never hurt her like this before.

"Oh, dear!" Her mother quickly pulled Evelyn's hands away as she looked at the bleeding wound, the young girl looked down at her hands, at the blood that dripped off them. She could feel her mind slowly slipping and her eyes started looking focus, the darkness started taking over as she slowly passed out.
"Evelyn...Evelyn!" Her mother yelled as she shook the unconcious girl, quickly realizing her daughter had passed out from the sight of her own blood. Evelyn was always a rather delicate girl, fearing a lot of things yet dreamed big, her fear of blood was one of the things she was scared of the most.

"Henry, we must take her back to the castle, she's bleeding!" Her mother said, Henry looked at his wife; Elizabeta and nodded.

"Take us back to the palace and someone bring us a doctor!" He yelled out, a knight headed off to find the doctor as the carrige headed back to their home. "We'll leave Evelyn in the doctor's care and we'll head to the charity ball, she is of age and there is no fear in leaving her alone for a few days." Henry said to his wife, Elizabeta nodded as she placed a handkerchief to Evelyn's head to stop the bleeding; holding it in place until they returned to the castle.

As soon as they arrived, Henry carried his daughter out and into the arms of one of the knights; the princess's head had stopped bleeding yet still needed stitches. "Take her to her chambers, let the doctor fix her up; Elizabeta and I will be back in a few days." He said as the king and queen headed out, the rest of the knights followed. Evelyn was carried to her room where the doctor awaited, the cursed princess woke up as the doctor finished stitching her head up.

"Greeting your highness, how are you feeling?" He asked as he cleaned the blood off his hands, Evelyn lightly nodded.

"I feel...tired." She softly replied, the doctor lightly flinched. In the light of the room, Evelyn's eyes looked red rather than their normal; silvery-green color. "Where are my parents?" She asked as she looked around, not moving her head.

"The king and queen are out of the kingdom for the charity ball in Lord Charles's kingdom; they will be returning in a few days. Until then, the knights and maids will watch and take care of you, princess." Evelyn softly gave a nod, the doctor gave her some medicine for the pain and left. Evelyn shooed the chamber maid out of her room, saying she needed sleep and rolled over. She felt...strange, somewhat hallow and lonely; yet she knew the reason was not her parents' absence.

"I wonder if she's alright..." Evelyn said softly to herself; she looked over at the window before slowly getting up. She was glad to be out of her dress and into her nightgown; it was flowing and long, white as the snow and felt so soft on her skin. Evelyn lightly touched her waist as she felt the bruise, she didn't even need to look. Evelyn went to the window and leaned on it, her hair loose over her shoulders in wispy layers as the breeze pushed it back. "Please be alright, where ever you are." Evelyn said as she looked out at the horizon.

A loud crash filled the night air as Amber stumbled to the ground. Her hand clunching her still bleeding wound. She had wondered back to her home, or rather where she slept. Using her sword she pulled herself up on a ledge of a fallen building, laying down on some hay she had pulled up there to sleep on a long time ago. Staring up at the stars, she whistled a toon. The only thing she remembered of her family.

She had a faint memory of being held by her mother, the women whistling a soft toon to her before she heard the horses of the cart her family being pulled it neighing in shock.

And that was it. She didn't remember anything else. The girl leaned up from her bed and pulled off her cape and wrapped the fabric around her wound. A sudden dam of anger broke inside her as she stood up.

She had enough. Amber had hurt no one and yet she was an animal. Just a rat in the streets. These children were left alone in the cold road to die at night. Not a single person cared. A low growl slipped her lips as she grabbed her sword and jumped down from the ledge, wincing at the pain it caused. Running forward she leaped onto a horse that had been tied up to the bar she was by. She would return the animal. In due time. She reared the animal back and turned the stead. Making it run towards the castle. She didn't know why she was going there, yet she was drawn. Like a moth to a light.

It had been a good, long 25 minutes of non stop galloping when she came close to the palace. The road of dirt smoked as the horse ran over the ribbon of brown in the night. A girl placed on the animal's back, bent over with her sword drawn and out to the side. The jeweled hilt glittering under the night sky.

Evelyn sat at her mirror, the polished gold shined in the light of the chamber torches. She slowly ran a brush through her hair as she sat there, softly she hummed to herself a song she'd been taught. A song of two lover longing for each other; a prince stuck in the war while his wife at home, the song spoke of them wishing on stars and that the stars delivered their messeges to each other.

She blushed slightly as she realized who'd she had been thinking about the whole time; the warrior girl was all she could think of right now and she wished she could meet her again. "This time on better terms, oh how I wish." She softly muttered to herself as she sat there; the princess placed the brush down as she started braiding her thick mane of hair. Her mother never liked it when she did braid it, saying she looked unlady like, it was kind of the reason why Evelyn liked it so much.

Evelyn walked back to her window as soon as she secured her braid, it fell between her shoulder blades. moving side to side as she walked; her small feet tapping softly against the stone floor of her chambers. The cursed princess sighed, she didn't know what to do, she felt antsy and reading books wasn't helping. Evelyn's mind couldn't focus on the words written on the pages, it kept wondering off.

As she walked to her closet, she pulled off her nightgown and got dressed in a light dress. Dark blue in color with a soft black corset around her waist, she light tied it back and slipped on a pair of soft cloth shoes. Evelyn guessed a glass of fresh milk would help with her uneasy mind, she didn't need to even wake anyone up, she could just get it herself.

She slipped out the door, being careful not to alert the guards or the chamber maid, everyone seemed to be sleeping. As she snuck into the kitchen and grabbed a simple wooden cup, she was getting milk, not wine.
Evelyn always did fancy more simpler things than other royals, preferring milk to wine and cotton to silk. She headed out the back door of the castle and toward the barn, the animal softly making noise as she moved closer. As she was close to the barn, she heard it.

The thundering sound of hoofs on the dirt road, she looked up as she saw a horse with a rider on it. At first she believed it to be her parents, or a messenger, she couldn't let them see her out here, especially without anyone watching her.
Evelyn backed up slightly as she clutched the cup, it was then that she tripped and fell on her rump; she feared as she was at the mercy of whoever that was.

A fire burned in Amberr's heart as her teeth gritted. And that light is what led her way to the towering castle. The sound of a horses hooves pounding against dirt filling the night air. She was so close to the palace now. But the problem of why she came arose again as she turned to the side, the horse running on grass now as Amber steered it around the large metal fence that sperated the cruel outside world from this heaven. That's when her eyes caught it again. Her anger flew out of her as her crimson red eyes rested upon that...that amazing girl. She gulped down that feeling in her chest as the horse slowed to a stop. She ran a hand through her dark, almoat black, brown hair, her heart jack hammering in her rib cage.

That's why she came. This is why her heart jerked her from her bed of hay and made her come here.

She wanted to see her.

She wanted to see this angel up close, the way she looked now, the moon showering down on her made the girl seem....unreal.

With the simple jerk of her wrist and flick of her heel she took off again. She had to find away inside these walls to see the princess. Had to.

Evelyn could see her, the warrior girl, she was here! The cursed princess quickly got up from the ground, her leg was bleeding from falling upon the rocks. She wiped it with the back of her dress, a very unprincess like thing to do and very unlady like yet she didn't care. The dark hair girl was here, just like a dream, her dreams. Evelyn looked around, no lights lit up the castle, no yelling, nothing. "No one spotted her yet, good." Evelyn muttered to herself as she dropped the cup, she headed into the stable as she found the keys to the gate and grabbed them.

The stable hand softly muttered and rolled over in his sleep as he laid with the sheep, Evelyn was quiet as she slowly backed out, softly shushing the horses and cows as she got out of the shadows and into the moonlight. Evelyn headed towards the gate, she stayed in the shadow of the gate and she look at the horse mounted girl. Evelyn placed a hand on her lips in a way; telling the girl to be quiet as she opened the gate. The princess's heart thundered against her chest as she opened it, the gate softly creaking open.

Evelyn pushed it open enough for the girl to come in, before heading back to the stable. If the keys were missing, they would blame it on the stable hand; Evelyn ran. Her small feet running over the gravel, dirt, and rocks as she got to the stable; she quietly placed the keys back. Like last time, she made it out quietly before slowly going back to the girl, wondering if she really did enter through the gate. Evelyn hung back, peeking at the girl from the side of the castle, watching her quietly.
If this girl wanted to harm her, Evelyn could just scream, yet something inside Evelyn made her feel safe and calm. The cursed princess stayed quiet as she kept watching the girl, she held onto the wall as she watched her quietly.

Amber slid off the horse slowly, landing on the grass softly as she looked around. Where did that girl go? Her blood red eyes wandered over the landscape before her. Amber at seeing in the dark. She was pretty much blind. The sword she had drawn slowly slid into it's sheath. Her dark brown hair was swept up in the night wind as she stepped forward a little. A limp being exposed as she moved. The red cape was still tied around her waist, soaked with her blood.

That's when a soft toon broke the silent night, filling the surrounding air with a calming melody. She was whislting the song Evelyn had been humming only moments ago. She was trying to make the girl come out again. She wanted to talk..or..or something. She had to see her, just had to.

Amber's eyes closed as she whislted the tone, her hands slidding into her pockets.

Evelyn heard it and almost jolted at the sound, she gripped onto the wall before slowly walking out. The dusty brown leather boots were clunky and ugly under her dress, she quietly walked out. Evelyn pushed the braid over her shoulder as she slid out of her hiding spot and slowly moved closer to the other girl; it almost seemed like this could be normal. Evelyn didn't even look like a princess, clad in soft cotton commoner clothes as she walked closer to the dark haired girl, her own hair seemed to almost glow in the bright full moon light. Evelyn stopped a few feet from the warrior girl, before looking up at her.

The princess's own silver-green eyes looked right at the older girls before lightly smiling at her, but as quickly at it came, it vanished. "Are you hurt?" She softly asked as she walked a little closer, but stopped. "I'm sorry for what the guards did, please forgive me, and please do not harm me." She softly said, Evelyn lightly bowed her head to the other girl, something almost never seen. A royal never bowed any part of their body to someone lower then them, yet here she was, bowing her head to another girl.

"Why would I harm you?" Amber asked, her blood red eyes resting upon the angel before her. "You have done nothing to me nor do I think you will." Her lips slowly curved up into a smile. "I just came to say hello. As any genlteman would.". It was clear Amber was no man but yet she had the charm of a prince. The girl was enchanting with her dark hair and red eyes. Plus she had the strenght of ten men, seeing as she took on knights like they were simple children.

The grin only grew as her hand slid ever so genlty into Evelyn's and pulled it to her lips and kissed it softly. "So hello, Princess. How are you?" Her lips left the hand along witj her own hand as she threw the girl a cocky smile.

Evelyn looked at the older girl, she quickly could tell she was taller than the tiny princess who only stood at five feet and two inches; she was about to say something when she felt the lips on her hand. Her face flushed as she looked at the older and taller girl, the blush was bright pink on her pale skinned face, she rather disliked it. "T-Thank you." She softly replied as she looked down, Evelyn could feel the skin on her hand tingling at the kiss sight and made her blush even more, she lightly bit down on her lip.
"You're not a man...but, you are a gentleman." Evelyn replied, how could someone be this charming. Even after so many 'charming' princes came to see Evelyn, none of them made her feel the way she felt right now.

"I don't really care you're not a prince nor a man...the way you fought the knights, that was...so amazing, I've never seen anyone fight like that." Evelyn said as she smiled slightly, she realized she was fawning over this girl and backed up slightly. "...Ah...would you like...some milk?" She asked, not really sure what to say. Evelyn felt a little nervous, kind of scared, and really excited!

"Ah that? I was simply protecting those I love. Not much to it". She spoke softly, her hands going behind her back and just staying. "You'd allow a street rat like me to drink the milk of those better than I? I am flattered to say the least." Amber said with a smirk as she bowed to the princess. "But those knights of yours are....how do you say....horrid? Yes. They simply use their power over us. They'd kill a kid just to get a stolen apple back." The girl had a cold look on her face. That wasn't made up. It had happened. Not once. But twice. And both times Amber was overwhelmed with guilt. Why hadn't she been there?

But back to the point.

"So, sweetheart, are YOU okay?".

"I-I-I'm fine, just milky-Ah, I mean, peachy...Just peachy!" She replied talking louder than she'd been trying to, she felt like now the other girl thought she was deaf, Evelyn softly sighed and placed her head in her hands as she looked down at the ground. "I'm really sorry about what they have done, I can't do anything until I wed and become queen, all I am to them is an annoyance." Evelyn replied as she looked back up at the older girl, she sadness was clear in her eyes as she started crying, she lightly wiped the tears away. "I'm sorry...I just...I hate being a princess, everyone treats me like a China doll and it feels so suffocating."

She replied, her silvery eyes filled up with tears. "I wish I could do something, but they have me in this place like I'm a criminal in prison, the best I could do was protect a little boy once while hearing petitions from the poor...the knight ended up yelling at me, but at least he didn't harm the boy, my parents said I was acting unlady like and limit my time outside of this fence." Evelyn looked at the gate with a deep sadness in her eyes before turning back to the older girl; she tried to smile. "Now about the milk, do you still want some?"

Amber had to fight the horrid feeling in her stomach to pull Evelyn into her arms. She couldn't do that. It wouldn't be....right?

"Listen to me, you saved that boy. If you hadn't yelled out, I wouldn't have been fast enough to save him. The kid's been deaf since he was little. He didn't hear the cart. I'm sorry he got you yelled at though. I really am.". She really wanted to go beat the living shit out of those knights now. How did they have the right to yell at such a beutiful girl?

As she saw the look in her eyes, and the smile she forced. A crack filled the air. The sound of Amber's heart breaking. She had to get this girl away from here. Let her see the world and all it's wonders. The horse she had rode here had ran off. So now it was time to really win the princess's heart.

She took a step back and smiled at Evelyn. A charming look spreading over her whole face. "Let me take you out of here. Let me show you the wonders of the world, my fair princess. ". The enchanting girl pulled out an odd shaped tool from her pocket. It had holes in several places like a flute and was craved of wood. A jagged part stuck out of the instrument probably the mouth peice.

"I can show you what was thought to be unreal. The things that have never been seen by those who can't dream.". The girl's red eyes caught the moonlight for a brief second before they closesd and a melody filled the air. The instrument the girl was playing blew out the softest and sweetest toon. One that made everything slow and seem like a dream

Evelyn looked up at older girl, confusion was clear in her eyes as she tilted her head slightly to the side and wondered what the other girl was doing. When she heard what the warrior girl say about taking her away, Evelyn felt her heart flutter, she'd dreamed of this. "Please take me away." She softly said as she looked at the taller girl, Evelyn looked around as the girl started playing the strange instrument and looked confused as she felt warmth fill her at the music, she looked up at the skin and smiled softly.

Evelyn looked over at the girl as she walked over to her, lightly taking her hand. She softly smiled at her as thye stood there; she wondered why she felt like this, but shook it off. She thought about stealing one or two of the horses in the stable, maybe even take some of her things, yet everything just melted into the quiet music as she leaned softly against the older girl and leaned her head on the taller girl's shoulder.

As the melody ending a pure white horse appeared at the hill not to far from the pair. It looked as if it stepped out of a dream. It had astounding bright green emerald color to it's eyes. Amber watched the beutiful creature as time seemed to slow to a stop. The steed walked forward, closer to the two girls.

"That, princess, is life.". Amber said as the horse stopped in front of them before it slowly bowwed. No sooner had the creature lowered Amber softly rested her hand on it's head.

The silence was almost haunting-

Everything moved so fast as a loud screech from the animal shattered the night air. A stone arrow sank into the horse's hind leg as it fell it the ground. The once charming girl stumbled back, falling on the ground as she stared in horror at the dead creature laying on the grass, bleeding out.

"Looks like we caught ya red handed, Thief." The leader from before let out a dark laugh as he trotted around on his horse. An arrowsman beside him.

The shocked girl's face turned to sorrow as tears fell from her eyes. She stood in a rough movement, yanking her sword from it's hilt and running forward. Clashing it to the captian's.

Her tears blinded her as she was jerked off guard and thrown to the side by a blade stabbing throw her.

Amber cried out in pain, cluching the new wound in her chest.

(D':

P.s Do you know that refence? XD)

Evelyn watched with wide eyes, everything was rushing past her so fast that she felt a little dizzy. As she watched the mystical creature crumbled to the ground, she felt sick, as if she was on the brink of vomiting. Evelyn never had seen something like this, everything she'd seen and heard, and lived was pretty and perfect. This was gritty and scared her out of her mind; the young girl ran forward to the horse as she saw it dead.

Evelyn was quickly grabbed from behind and pulled back, she struggled as the guard held her. "Do not worry princess, we'll take care of that thief!" Evelyn wanted to yell as he held her, she quickly threw her head back hard. She heard a crack and for the first time, it didn't come from her. The grip on her loosened and she pulled away, Evelyn ran as she saw the older girl getting hurt. She wrapped her arms around her as the guard went in for a final blow. "If you kill her, you'll have to kill me too!" She yelled out, the guard stopped as he looked at the princess, she glared at him with tear streaked eyes.

"That's enough of this, leave her alone at once!" Evelyn glared at him, she softly huffed as she turned to him, standing tall looking like the queen she would one day be. Evelyn felt like crying, but she didn't; she didn't care about the bruises caused by the guard or that she was getting covered in the older girl's blood. "Get the doctor here, now!" She yelled, the guard flinched and hesitated, but he ran off to get the medic. Evelyn let out a soft gasp as she turned to the taller girl. "Please tell me you're alright, oh god!" She softly cried as she looked at the wound.

" Now, princess, please don't get your dress dirty..." Amber said, barely above a whisper. The pain muffled her voice and made her cry but yet the girl still smiled. That charming look forcing it's self on her face.

"Listen." She breathed. Still hold her wound. "I can't let him touch me. He'll...posion me....". She still talked slowly, hardly breathing. She pushed herself up, only to fall back down. She growled at herself before trying again and staggering to her feet.

At that same moment the amazing creature slowly faded black and blew away as dust.

Ba-dum...

Her heart beat was so slow as she took a step forward, a shaky and unplaced one.

Ba-dum...

"Princess.....,".

Ba-dum...

"Let me take you away.".

The oh so charming girl fell to her knees beside the dead horse, her heart stopping as she felt face first to the ground.

(She's not dead, seems dead. But she isn't. Lol)

Evelyn stared at the charming girl, her whole body shook as she sat there. It was so quiet, so...silent, not even the wind blew. The princess fell to her knee as silent tears started running down her face, she could feel her heart slowly crumbling.
The silence was broken by a loud, sorrow filled cry, Evelyn didn't try to silence herself as she cried. Nothing mattered anymore; she didn't care about acting like a lady or a princess, she didn't care about getting her dress dirty, she didn't even care that the castle lit up with candle lights.

Evelyn pulled the taller girl into her lap as she looked down at her, she looked so peaceful almost as if she was sleeping. She could hear people coming to see what was wrong, Evelyn wished they would just leave her alone. "Princess, what is the matter?!" Someone asked as they touched her shoulder, Evelyn huffed as she turned to them. Her eyes red in the light of the candle, the man backed up as he saw them.

"Leave me alone!" She yelled, Evelyn felt something hit her. It wasn't physical, more like as if a cold shiver struck her. She looked up at the moon as she felt almost like a lightning hit her, and a sharp metallic sound filled the air. For a split moment, everything was quiet before a deafening boom coming from the princess filled the air, those near her fell over and even the grass flattened at the sound and the strange pressure. Evelyn looked almost peaceful as she felt the cold feeling consume her, unknowing to her, a light glow surrounded her body.

Amber's head was laying in Evelyn's lap the whole time this happened. Her corspe unaware of anything going on. But her ghost watched with that same cocky smirk. The white horse beside her. She chuckled sightly. "Told you she was an angel. Did I not?". The horse simply neighed and turned around and started walking away.

Amber slowly bent down so she was eye level to her princess though she knew she couldn't be seen.

"My bonny sweetheart, just one kiss before I depart tilt moonlight. Look for me by moonlight. I shall come for you at moonlight. Though hell should bare the way." Those were the simple words she filled the angel's head with, before she placed a small kissnon the girl's lips and turned and followed the horse.

Whistling a soft toon to herself as she walked along.

She'd be back. In a better form of course.
