Ted had only spoken to his twin brother Fred just last night, and as usual the conversation had been about his sexy young wife and the problems they had been having. Fred had married the young thing only two years ago, and though there was some age difference between them, they seemed to be truly in love, or at worst lust. Yet, lately the relationship seemed seriously strained. So when he’d gotten the heads up from an police officer friend that his brother was in the hospital he was shocked. They told him he had been in a serious car accident and was in a coma. It had already been 12 hours since the accident, and he was heading to the hospital. Damn why hadn’t Fred’s wife called him, she knew how close they were, what was her problem this time.
Ted was tall and well built, having worked most of his life in construction. His brother was the same build, not in quiet the shape and had done the college and management career path, so for two guys that looked exactly the same, they were quiet different. Fred was careful in his words, and knew what to say in a mixed crowd. Ted was good at a party, and didn’t give a shit what people thought. Still the two brothers got along, and stayed in contact, even if their social circles never would have. So he rushed to the hospital to find out how his brother was, clearly ignoring several posted signs as to the legal speed limit.
