On The Throne Ruling The World
A long caravan traveled down the cobbled stone road. Moving right through the center of town, there in the middle was an ornate and very decorative litter that was covered by a current on both sides. The men who flanked either side of the litter were very heavily armed, and had the look of hardened combat veterans. If one looked along the rest of the precision it was also made up of a very style of posture. Though the troops that were in it, were all very well armed, and well trained, considering whom they belonged to. It was the personal military formation of Prince Ryou, who had received his first command only a year ago for his birthday. With just the small command he had been given, the prince had been able to make a difference in the battles that his father had let him be a part of. The young man’s future as a strategic genius showed, and the men that surrounded him were loyal to the prince and not the king for the reason alone. They knew that despite his age, he wouldn’t take them into hell if he didn’t think they could get out. This was why there was a lot of talk among the brigade on what kind of dragon the young prince would choose… since after all… it would end up being their second in command.

It did not take long for the procession to move down the main street towards the gates of the palace at the center of town. This wasn’t the palace at the capital city, but instead was located in the former nation of Zhou. Near were the original Emperor Qin Shihuang had discovered the tribes of Dragons, who were now considered the most loyal subjects to his ancestors. The treaty which had been signed basically lifted the dragon tribes form the level of unknown savage tribes (At least in most human eyes) all the way up to a sort of pseudo-warrior/noble class. Much like that of the samurai of Japan, though that didn’t stop the xenophobia form the lower and most other noble classes. Who were angry about, and a bit jealous of what they saw as negtive 'savage' influance on the royal family. It was really only among the Royal Court that they found themselves appreciated. Even though there oath was sworn to protect the members of the royal family especially the Emperor, every person that lived in the Royal Court had one. For members of the royal family the creature they were paired with became a guardian over them for life. Functioning as a friend, tutor, advisor, protector, and if desired concubine… they were considered part of the royal family, and so were treated with same level of respect and honor as the human members. Plus those that were given to the members of the Royal Family came form the head dragon clan, known as the Imperial Dragons. Each of the Dragon clans were differnt, especially considering that some of the lower ones, where indeed more animal like. Yet until Emporer Qin had found them, there had been no major class divide, only breeding divides. The Imperials had always lead the dragons, and took care of the lovable, though aniamlistic... lower clans.

So today was that special day, when future heir to the throne, Kurosawa Ryou would pick out his protector. The young prince really didn’t know what to expect actually, since he had been raised away from the main palace for his entire life. The purpose of this was to prevent any of the lower guardian clans from gaining influence over a child of the royal family. It had been realized quickly from the start of the treaty that it would be fair for all clans involved this way, because of the need to make sure that the royal family was always paired off with Imperial Class Dragons. The influences on the young prince’s choice would be as completely a human one as possible. It was also the reason that the Queen Mother didn’t raise the princes directly, and when she visited them she wasn’t allowed to bring her guardian. Of course in the end, the heir was taught about all of the species of guardians at some point, and usually would be encouraged towards certian colors of dragons and how to spot that color in there human form. Though the reasons for this more had to do with what made ‘the proper guardian’ for an Emperor… or whatever that member of the royal house was.

When they stopped in front of the doors to the palace two of the guards moved forward and opened the doors to the main chamber were the choices for guardianship had gathered. Carrying the litter the large men walked inside as an older gentlemen came up beside them, while they put the litter down off their shoulders gently. The great doors were shut after most of the more ‘civilian’ part of the convoy had come in, and started to head off down the different hallways to ready the palace. The actual selection wasn’t until later, though usually the guardian that was spent the most time with after the critical ‘unofficial selection’ as it was called among the clans… was usually the one chosen. The older gentlemen walked forward and then then spoke, “Hello honored warriors of the Guardian Clans. The Emperor bids you all welcome to another of the selection ceremonies. As agreed in the treaty all of those who are of age at the time a selection is needed are allowed to try, and your families and tribes are being sent equal tribute as our appreciation for this honor. As well as part of your vows to prevent infighting… now then… before we can began… Who has been chosen to speak for the clans?”

It was an exciting day for the Guardian's. The Dragon Clans where all a twitter with excitement as they prepared for a visit from the Emperor's son, the 'Little Prince' as many of the elder Dragon's called him. They had all heard of him of course, they hung on the word of the Royal's eagerly, each Dragon wondering who would be chosen. There where too many Dragons for All of them to be taken in as a Guardian of course, so the Elders who where never Chosen, Taught the younger, how to be smart, strong, and clever. How to protect a human, how to fight, and how to entertain. They where even well trained in the arts of physical pleasure, though every Dragon was a Virgin when they where first Chosen. The Clans had each Chosen the best, and brightest of their Ranks, each hoping that their daughters, or nieces would be Chosen to Serve the Future Emperor. And so, each Dragon of the Clans where gussied up, everyone of an 'available' Age for the Prince where dressed up, flowered up, made certain they where clean, and where told to behave.

One of the young Women was the rarest that the Dragon Clan's had seen in centuries... nothing like her had existed in written history. She was a Winged European Dragon, a rare breed in and of themselves. In Dragon's, the Lighter colors where rare, very rare, the lighter the color, the less often you would see them, and this one, was white. Not silver, not Gray, pure, Snow Lily White, and they named her after the Moon. Ming Yue, Beautiful Moon, and it suited her well... but that was not why she was so rare, for there had been white European before... no, she was ultimately rare, because she was both female, and Male. A Futanari, as the Dragon's called her. It was very rare for a Futa to be born in the Dragon Clans, they where lucky to have one every thousand years or so, the Futa where given high honors in the Dragon Clan's, but they understood that Human's did not understand the Honor, and did not expect for the young Ming Yue to be chosen... still, there she was with the others, smiling as she chatted with the other excited women, wearing her face paints and her hair beads like everyone else.

The Elder Dragons had their serious doubts about Ming Yue ever being Chosen. The Light colored Dragon's where usually considered bad luck, and the silver, white, and gray Dragons where usually never chosen. They where training Ming Yue for a different job in all honesty. Someday, they hoped she would take the Head of the Dragon... they where hoping she would Lead all of the Imperials, as her great, great Grandmother had. After all, the Clans needed a leader, and Ming Yue was perfect for the job. She was smart, she was brave, and she was fair. She didn't choose sides, and always listened to both halves of the story, no matter who, or what the problem was. Even more than that, she was kind, and it was very difficult to shake her off of her calm, 'happy' state of mind. She was, even now, tugging at another girls shirt, straightening it out, and was informing another that they had something in their teeth. Everyone had to look perfect. There was a sound, a horn, alerting the village of the Dragon's that the Prince had arrived, and they swung the doors open, and all of the Dragon's in their Human forms spilled out into the Great Hall to greet him, all of them bowing to the guards, and to the Prince.

The Head Woman stood as the Dragon's where Addressed and she, old and ancient, smiled at them. “Welcome! Young Prince, to our home.” she spoke, as was right, and proper. “there will be no fighting, and we hope that the Prince is pleased with the Chosen that he may select from.” that said, the Guardian Trained Females all stood and gathered in the center. The blues, the greens, the reds and browns and even a jet ink black. Ming Yue seamed to shine against all of these darker dragons, drawing attention to her despite her attempts to stand out of the way so the Prince could see 'proper' Dark dragons. “of the Chosen, Ming Yue has been chosen to speak for the Clans.” the old Dragon spoke, Ming Yue bowing to show that she was who the elder was talking about. “She will keep the Chosen in Line, and Help the Prince with his Choice.” Ming Yue nodded, blinking, her soft, so very deep eyes glittering with amusement, because she, like everyone else there, knew that she wasn't about to be chosen. “if the Prince, or one of you has need for anything, you will bring it to me, and I will have it seen to.” Ming Yue promised calmly.

Not a word came form inside the litter that had been put down for a little bit after the old man had spoken. The speaker seemed to get nervous, because the ceromony was considered quite important to the dragons. So anything like this could be taken as an insult, which they had every right to, considering how much was put into making sure the heirs go the best gaurdian. Of course this also went along with another problem that the dragons had on the current heir... lack of information. Nothing they had been told about him was a lie, but at the same time all the information about him had been put through a careful fliter. It had nothing to do with his ability to rule, but instead some of his more... personal... qaulities. Though the female dragons who were hear to try and become his guardians would find out quite soon. Were it not for the Princes military abilites, as well as his fathers lack of another male heir, then he probably would not be about to take the throne.

Soon there was stiring behind the curtins as the parted slowly. A pale thin hand came out, with a black robe running down the arm which wore it. It too a few moments, but what was reviealed to the dragons as Prince Kurosawa Ryou... was not exactlly what one would have expected. The black robes which held the Imperial Crest in the center seemed to hang over his shoulders. The young man was hunched over a bit as though he had just woken up. The way that he rubbed his eye, that is exactlly what one would think had happened. The male had long black hair that hung down over his face showing nothing of it, but one of his large black eyes. Just staring at the female dragonesses. It was a look of curious, playfullness, and a bit of an adorable nature disbite his apperance. Though to empathic creatures like dragons, they would be able to see the uncurrents of madness that swam under that look. A human would have to get much closer to see that Ryou didn't exactlly play with a full of a cards on some level.

Wethier or not that effected his ability to lead and intellcent had already been proven negtive. It was what else it effect that was the question. The adviser began to look at the dragons, and then back at the prince nervously, as the young man didn't make a move towards them. At least not completely... stopping about half way bettewen them and the litter, the prince just stood there... soft words could be heard coming form his lips as he mumbled to himself. Before walking forward again, and heading towards one of the dragons. Form what Ryou could tell she was probably a blue one, Russian Blue in color at least. Which ment she was form the upper steeps of Mongolia and that region. He stood there in fornt of her for a moment with his head still looking down, before he began to slowly look up. That hair falling away to show a large creepy Cheshire Cat esque smile, before he reached out and gently poked her breast. Then turned around and walked right back to were he had been standing bettewen them and his litter... before moving. The old advisor was looking really nervous now as he looked at the dragon Elders... especially because just as they worked so hard to have a good Gaurdian for the members of the the Royal Family. The expected the Royal Family to have good members for their childern... it was expensive to train them to that standard, so they wanted to know the expense was worth it.

the Dragons waited patiently, many of them where thousands of years old, a few moments, or even hours of waiting where nothing to them. Dragon's where very patient creatures, and where... very mysterious. Dragons held secretes, that they didn't even know where secrets, they just didn't think like human's did, and so instead of finding the silence insulting... they found it curious. this was new, this was different. Dragon's liked different. no matter how human they appeared, they simply did not think like one, and so ignored the Elder humans nervousness. they all watched with Growing anticipation as the thin hand reached out, and several heads tilted, like a puppy at a new sound as the Prince was revealed. they could see the madness, or what humans would view as madness anyway, to Dragon's, it was just another way of seeing the world, another way of thinking. Dragon's went mad sometimes, and they where always well taken care of, but never controlled unless they where violent.

all of the Dragon's stared at the prince, their eyes fixed on him completely, hundreds of brightly colored eyes, young and new watched his every move, no doubt making the adviser so very nervous. the Russian Blue straightened as he approached her, and her eyes, as green as emeralds watched him, her head tilted curiously. her breast was soft, and she blinked at him as he poked it, her eyes never leaving him as he went back to the Litter. "we have heard great tales of Ryou." the Elder spoke suddenly as she sensed the Adviser's near heart attack nerves. "He is said to be an astonishingly talented leader. and his men are the most loyal in the land, taking on even Enemy dragons for their Prince." she admitted simply. "we have rooms for his men, and special rooms for the Little Prince." the Elder spoke simply turning to Ming Yue who Bowed. "If His Majesty will follow me? i will show him to his rooms." she promised, waiting for an agreement before she led the way down a massive hallway. the entire Castle showed a Dragon's love for shining things and colors. there where tapestries, metal tables, shining vases made of gold and silver. they sparkled and shone as the stone walls where covered in a rainbow of tapestries.

Dragon's loved colors, and sparkly things, and they could get very, very possessive of their 'hoards' massive piles of anything they liked, from fur, to tinfoil, to tapestries, anything and everything. the closer to 'breeding season' it was, the more possessive they got, because Male and Female Dragon's used their Hoards to attract one another. though Dragons where a Matriarchal community, mostly it was the Females who gathered and protected the treasures, and used it to attract a Life Mate. even in this castle, there was a few dozen Hoards, shining as they prepared for the breeding season, which was still several months away. Ming Yue led the way down into a Wing of the Castle, at the very end of the hall was Ryou's room. the other rooms along the hall would be filled with his men, as was proper. if they where somehow attacked, this would mean that the intruders had to go through Ryou's men before getting to Ryou... and that was only if they got past the Dragons.

Ryou's room was clearly a Dragon's idea of perfection. there was soft, everywhere. the bed itself was so large a Dragon in it's Dragon form could have laid on it. it was stuffed with soft feathers, and was as plush and comfortable as the Rug that was laying on the floor. the room itself was so massive, that he, and all the Chosen dragons could gather and speak with one another, socialize and speak and get to know one another. there was a large dresser for all of Ryou's things, and there was a pile of various games for entertainment. there was even a massive bookshelf full of various books. "this will be His Majesties room." Ming Yue informed the procession. "we where certain to have the best room in the Palace just for him." she admitted, smiling, pleased that the room had been finished. they'd had to clean everything out in there, it had been rather difficult, and decorating it had caused more than one argument. "would His Majesty like for the Chosen to remain with him, or would he like to rest?" she asked the Adviser this, seaming to realize that Ryou wasn't about to answer for himself.

(giggle... poke...poke... GiggleXDD)

The advsior seemed to relax noticeably as the dragons took control of the sitiuation and kept things flowing. At the same time making it quite obvious that they had not been insulted at all by the prince that they had been presented with. It was not that the adviser was inept, or not knowlegdable about dragons, it was that it was hard to understand what it was like to see the world through eyes that lived so long. That was why usally the tutor and advisor who handled this, was the eldest of the human scholars... so that at least he would have some prepestive. Yet the reason for his nervousness was for many reasons... Kurosawa was the only male heir, and so this ceromony was improtant that he get the best gaurdian possiable. The problem was, that the treaty and relationship bettewen the royal family and the dragons had grown to the point where the dragons had a lot of say in the matter. If they didn't want a certian daugther with the Emporer... it wouldn't happen.

Plus there was the final problem that Ryou didn't even have a wife yet, which actually the worse problem of them all. Many people saw the young heir as the end of the dyanasty... It was the same one that had orginally formed the treaty with the dragons, and so they had just as much at stake in it. This was even potential stirings over placing one of Ryou's sisters, or cousins on the throne over it. Yet the aging emporer would never be presauded. The reason for this had to do with a Bhuddist monk whom, the king had given water and food to while traveling on the road home. With Ryou's mother carrying the baby boy in her arms. Even then the prince had been an odd looking little thing, with that wide eyed stare and those dark dark eyes. Yet the monk in returned for the kindness had told the king to mke sure this child was the one who sat on the seat of power. The man wouldn't have believed it, had he not seen his sons leadership abilities.

"We are humbled by your hospotality Elders... the young Prince is also, and he thanks you for your kind words that you have spoken about him." The only way that Ryou showed he knew he was being spoken to was when Ming Yue looked in his direction and began to talk to him. Causing Ryou to look back at her over his shoulder.... that curtian of hair showing just one eye... that for some reason held a hint of fear... or was it nervousness... or both. It was very puppydog in it's likeness though. The group of humans followed along after Ming Yue towards the room that she lead them towards. The gaurds were being escorted off to there rooms and shown who was assigned were. The entire group of humans seemed to marvel at the rich magesty around them, that was only macthed in the human word by the palace at the captial. Little did they know this didn't compare to the actual palace of the Dragon Emporer himself.

Yet Ryou hardly seemed to move his head to around at all... or at least that was what it seemed. The hair covered the wide eyed, and very child like glint in his eyes that darted form dragon esque statue to dragon to esque statue. Though he held back his usual Cheshire Cat like grin. Even when the young man finally caught a glimpse of the room with which he would be staying... which like everything else made him feel a certian gitty nature inside. The young prince wsa half paying attention to what his advisor and the speaker for the clans was talking about. Luckily though... he caught the very end of it as his advsior answered for him, "My lady Ming Yue... I regret to say that the prince has had quite the long day of travel getting here, and needs his rest for tommorrow... So I think it would best if he just...." Suddenly without waring, Ming would feel a lithe hand lace itself with her white leather bound digits. The style of dress for the Chosen prevented any accidental contact that could cause an accidental instant bonding, which leave the unlucky pair... well out of lucky. The young prince also wrapped his other arm around her waist and pulled himself close to her. Burying his face in her side the answer given without words. He wanted the Chosen to come stay wth him.

the Dragons knew nothing of the weird orders of the Monk, or the problems at Court, they cared little for such things. they only cared about Those that where in the Treaty, and about those that they protected. they had seen the rise and fall of many Dynasty, and they could easily go back to the Old Ways if they had to. they wouldn't like it, but they could do it. The Dragons where ancient, and Noble, and would outlive humanity, this, they knew. they smiled at the Adviser, and studied the young prince again, who was... childlike, the Dragons enjoyed this new Prince, he was calm, and innocent... and yet, there was a spark of great intelligence inside of him. it was a very interesting combination, and the Dragon's anticipated some very interesting events in the near future. the eyes still followed him as he left, and only once he was put of sight did the other Dragons resume their normal life.

Ming Yue smiled anytime she caught that wide grin on Ryou's face, her head tilted a little as she watched him study the room, fascinated by the young prince . she nodded at the Adviser and turned, blinking as she felt Ryou's hand in hers, blinking as she gently stroked his hair with her own, leather covered hands. the Leather Gloves color Coded for each Dragon, so that they matched the Dragon's Scales, the gloves keeping flesh from touching flesh as she ran her fingers gently through his hair, and somehow, she knew exactly what he wanted. "Very well Little Prince." she purred, smiling at him. "we will stay with you." she promised motioning the other girls in, and they smiled and cooed over him, muttering about how CUTE he was, and what an interesting hair style! commenting on how gorgeous those big black eyes of his where, like glittering black diamonds. several of them offered him little delicacies that would be hard even for the Emperor to get, things like Banana's and Mangoes and coconut. it was easy to get such things when you could fly halfway around the world in a single day. they fed him fancy foods, and entertained him with dancing and toys and games and read to him from books, each Woman taking turns in trying to get his attention.

and though they where trying to get his attention, no one tried to touch him, unless he touched them first. they didn't crawl all over him, they weren't loud. they where calm and controlled, though where full of laughter and smiles. offering him comfort and a good time. and as the sun started to set, a massive feast of a Dinner was rolled into the rooms. not just Ryou's, but the men who had come with him as well, everyone offered Dragon entertainment. after all, not all Dragon's where acceptable for being Chosen for any royalty, and those Dragon's often trained to entertain the more 'common' company they had. after all, the Belly Dancers and strippers hadn't gotten their skills from other humans. it was a well known Dragon Passion was looking sexy, and dancing. it was only natural that they would combine the two. so while Ryou was hanging out with the best of the best, his soldiers where getting some pretty damn sexy girls to enjoy themselves. the women all smiled and took turns offering Ryou food, chattering and talking to him, simply trying to keep him entertained and happy. it was said, after all, that Dragon Hospitality was the best in the world.

While the dragons may not have known of the problems at the human court, yet there lack of knowlegde was one thing the dragons who were members of the court feared. Because even if this dynasty died off, they had ended up tieing themselves to the human race more than they realized, by coming out of hidding. Which was why the orginal Gaurdians always avocated even more interaction with the human race, or else they would risk contiuned fear form the common masses. Which would be somthing that might not be protected form, under a differnt danasty, considering the way some noble families acted towards dragons. Though when it was realized by the old Gaurdians, that the young Ryou would be the new heir... there worries recently began to subsied. Dragons were creatures who had seen the story of empires and rulers many times over... and they had gotten good at see a twist when it was coming. Which was why the little prince was looked at... with such affectionate, even before they had seen him.

He turned to look up at the female dragon when she spoke to him softly. Understanding what he had to say without the words needing to leaving his mouth. Ryou was thankful for her presance during this situation because she was so empathic towards him. He normally was this quite and reserved, and it more had to do with the fact that he was surronded by females who actually seemed to have a desire for him. That and he was just more comforntable on the battlefield than anywere else. He began to blush at the feeling of her petting him, it was somthing that he found quite soothing, and made him nuzzle his cheek into her gloved palm on purpose. As he stood there next to Ming, waiting for her to escort him into the room once all the other females where inside. Even seating there on the throne like area of comforntable pillows were they were all around him, you could not tell who he gave more attention. As the direction of his face always turned to aknowlegde whoever it was trying to get his attention.

In a way it was a little fun mind game for him to play. A good tactician always needed to exersise the mind. Now he was doing just that, which included part of his test on exactlly who he wanted as a wife... it was simple game really... that the dragons had brought form far off lands they said. It was somthing called chess, and Ryou considered himself a master, and had the record to prove it. He was also very good a not making obvious that this was a big part of his thought process. Of course whichever girl was playing him, he invited them to sit close to him, till the end of the game. While they played chess the youth didn't mind being cuddled by his oppenant however much they wanted too... in fact, those who were smart and the more empathic ones would feel how it calmed him to be held. It was impossiable really to see who he had his eyes on the most until that curtian of black hair... Yet as he kept knocking one oppontent down after another, the young man wondered if he was going to ever find an equal. Though he had only gone through a few games, so the youth was sure there would be a few girls that could beat him.

Ming Yue smiled as he nuzzled her, and she resisted the furious urge to bend down and press her lips to his forehead. but that was forbidden until he had Chosen. then, only the Chosen would touch him with her bare skin. they would tolerate Human's touching their Protected, but only people they knew, if a stranger tried, the Guardian usually reacted very badly. they where very protective. they where actually finding his not paying more attention to them, interesting. normally, a Royal picked a Color, and focused more on those colors, with Ryou it was... he paid attention to all of them, as if color didn't matter. out of all the Dragon's, only the Russian Blue, a girl named Itheril, came close to beating him, and the game lasted the longest with her, his fingers gently stroking his arm and wrist as she settled close to him, pondering her moves with pure clear eyes that shone with glee at the challenge. Ming Yue was the last to take her chance at the game, and she settled behind him, wrapping her arms around him as if she was holding a Child, resting her chin on his shoulder as she studied the new game...

and won. Ming Yue made sure that as much of her was touching him at all times, offering him the comfort he seamed to crave, her hands running through his hair while he focused on his moves, and with a masterful decision, she took his queen, and then not three moves later, she had his king. it hadn't been easy, but she had beaten him, and she looked pleased as she gently massaged his scalp and stroked his arms, but didn't nuzzle, or kiss or lick as she so very much wanted to. she smiled as she straightened up and went to get the food, the other girls giggling as they asked him if he was enjoying himself, asking him if he wanted to play something else, or if he just enjoyed trouncing them all into the dirt? this was said with affection and amusement, clearly the women where very impressed with how intelligent he was. they eagerly offered him food as Ming Yue braught it back, and they took turns feeding him rare delicacies, giggling happily as Ming Yue chuckled and made sure his Tea cup was always full, and that the other girls didn't try to choke him on the food. then, it was Ming Yue who decided it was late enough, and that it would do them all good to get some sleep.

so they all left, and Ming Yue stayed to turn down the bedding, and ask him if he needed help getting changed into his pajamas? it was a strange human thing, but some of the Human's who came to pick their Gaurdian, couldn't even get dressed on their own they where so pampered. she soon had him tucked in with a small bell within reaching distance, promising him that if he rang that bell, she would hear it, and come get him anything he wanted in the night. and with that done, she brushed his hair away from his face, kissed her fingertips and pressed it to his forehead. "goodnight, Little Prince. sleep well." she whispered, smiling at him as she settled into a chair beside him, and sang him a soothing song to help him sleep. and only once she was certain he was sleeping deeply, did she leave the room, and leave him to his dreams. in the morning, Ryou was woken by one of the Elder Dragons, who again asked if he needed help changing into his Day clothes, and was led down to breakfast where he was met with his Adviser, and the Speaker, who represented every Clan, chosen and everyone else.

"Good Morning Little Prince." the woman stated, smiling at him, the same one as before. "the Women are eagerly awaiting your Choice. please, sit and enjoy your breakfast, and decide who would be best to Serve you." the woman stated calmly, smiling at him. "and please... know that you will always be Welcome in Dragons Keep." she promised him gently before leaving, letting Ryou think about who he wanted to choose. he had until Noon to know for sure, because at Noon the ladies would Gather in the Great Hall, and wait eagerly for him to choose one of them. they where already waiting in their rooms, fussing as they tried to make themselves look as perfect as possible, all of them but Ming Yue, who was feeling... disturbed... almost... Jealous... she had a great deal of affection for the Little Prince... she liked the way he smelled, she liked the way he never said a word, but could communicate so much with her. she liked how strong, and smart he was, and loved how much he loved her running her hands through his hair, and how he would nuzzle her back, as if he was a giant puppy or a kitten. and she knew he was aware of her uniqueness, as the Speaker told him during his breakfast that Ming Yue was Multi gendered, and that Tabitha, a yellow, weas severely allergic to chocolate. letting him know, because it was wrong not to. and so, the time was up, and the women gathered in the Hall, beaming as they waited for the Little Prince to make his Choice.

Ryou was quite enjoying the challange that the dragons were presenting to him. It was quite unsual to find a human who could beat dragons at chess so regularlly, especially since it was there game after all. Even more evidenced by the fact that the pieces were dragon-esque in there desgin. The little prince really didn't see any reason to descrimate against these creatures based on color... that was just a product of outside apperance. Plus it was what made them all the more enjoyable to be around in his eyes, in that you could meet many differnt colors of dragons... and also differnt spieces. Of course the members of the Royal family were usally given more limited contacted with the other spieces, if only so they didn't gain some kind of uneeded infulance over them. Only the Imperials were trusted as being wise engough for that task, which probably had to do with the fact that they acted more like humans than any other spieces. In fact it sometimes seemed like they acted smarter than humans....

As Ryou played his game of chess with Itheril the young prince would softly cuddle up to her if she let him. He was trying to figure out which dragons were the most affectionate of the group... he knew they all were, but who was the most. Then finally it came down to the dragoness who had guided him into the room... the one whom the Prince found his eyes drawn back to over and over again. None of the other dragons would see this of couse, because the prince did such a good job of doing it in a subtle manner. That curtian of hair covered his eye movements. What Ming Yue did ended up supirsing him the most as she walked around and sat there behind him. Holding him with arms that held a strength which was contratry to the way they looked. It was the strength of a dragon, and as Ming put her chin on his shoulder, she would be able to feel him relax. The methods which she used to relax him during the game worked prefectlly. Sometimes the male would take hold of her arms and run those lithe fingers down them until his fingers curled with hers. So he could wrap her arms around his body, and just bask in the sense of her holding him for a moment...

As well as being able to bask in the fact that she showed such intellecent. Quite a smart thing that Ming was to show Ryou his first loss in chess, which was certianly a good thing. Losses on the fake battlefield, could help teach the meaning of loss on the real one. A bit after the game though, the young prince found his fantasy disrubted... as Ming Yue suddenly got up and left... Kurosawa found himself resisting the urge to reach out and grab her hand. The male had come to feel a certian notion of affection towards all these dragons who seemed to look at him with such delight. Though he wondered if it was simply because they wanted to be chossen, or they really did like having him around. The rest of the night seemed to past by much quicker, as soon everyone was ushered out for bedtime leaving young Ryou alone with Ming... the very thing made him blush. Of course she wouldn't be able to see it under that curtian of raven hair. Her offer to undress him only made it worse as he shook his head in a vigores manner... going so far as to turn away form her.

The scene was quite amusing as he would only change once he had privicy. The young male was bit self concious around the dragon whom he liked. Only once he was ready did Ryou let her tuck him in, and soon the heir to the throne found himself fast asleep... wondering through dreamland without nightmares. His night was restful, which was somthing that had not happened in so long. Awoken in the morning by the feeling of the sun on his skin and the voice of the elder Kurosawa realized he had a choice to make. It was a choice he didn't want to make, especially bettewen creatures who had all been so kind to him. He knew how hard each one of them had worked to get here, and now to ruin it for them... plus there was the fact he felt guilty about the fact that he couldn't get his mind off Ming. The prince felt like he had choosen her from the start, and not given the others a fair chance... and it was this nervousness that caused him to do somthing rash. After the Speaker had dissapered, he dimissed his advisor and soon the young heir himself slipped away. Hiding himself in the deepest vaults of the dragon's book and scroll archives, where they had rooms that one could study in. The fact that there were cob webs and only wooden desk in these cold dank places, showed they were never used. Yet here is were he could be found... drawing up what would become in a few years his master stragtic work. The picture showed four large dragons with harnesses, carrying below them a huge box looking thing. It was crudly drawn, but for anyone with a stratgic mind... they would understand the concept.

Ming Yue loved the way the Little Prince felt in her arms, the way he relaxed into her. she enjoyed the way he touched her back, and the way he snuggled into her. he was so warm and perfect, and for the first time in her life... she wanted to be chosen. so, as the others left, she did those extra little things... that might get her noticed a little more... she waited with the other women, waiting for the Little Prince to arrive with patience that was shocking... but at an hour after noon, it was clear to the Dragon's that something was wrong, and the Eldest Dragon there... old enough to have seen the First Emperor, and remember the first Treaties, stood, and left the room to go and find the Little Prince, her face wrinkled, but warm as she followed his scent, and gently opened the door, stepped inside, and closed the door so that they wouldn't be bothered.

"Kurosawa Ryou." she breathed a greeting as she settled into a dusty chair with a small groan. "my, i had almost forgotten about this room." she admitted, offering him a small smile. "are you upset, Little One?" she asked, her head tilted at him. she was old, very old, and had the longest time to learn how to understand Humans. "you feel badly about choosing a guardian, don't you?" she asked, smiling at him. "you shouldn't, you know... even if you can only choose one, the others will also be chosen. they are well trained, and there are many young Royals. and even if they are never chosen, as we suspect for young Ming Yue, they will all have joys in their lives." the old woman promised. "if Ming Yue is not chosen in the next Ten years, as her age allows, she will be the Next Speaker. a very honored position." the old woman admitted. "if Itherit is never chosen, she will be a Trainer, she is excited to have the chance to train younger dragons." the old woman smiled at Ryou. "everyone is excited to maybe be your Guardian. but their lives will not end if you don't choose them. they will be glad, all of them, no matter who you choose... for you are special in many ways, and all Dragon's wants, to have you safe, and happy." the old woman admitted, offering him a powder blue, leather covered hand.

"Come on Little One, they are all very worried that something has happened to you, and the Adviser seams to think we are easily insulted." she teased, looking amused. "he is afraid we will not understand your ways... but you are very much like a young, smart Dragon." she admitted. "shy, and easily frightened... but oh so very smart." she teased, winking at him. "you will bring good things to our lands." she promised him. "and you don't want to let the Chosen down? they are eagerly hoping for you to choose someone... most of them think you will choose Itherit, but i know better... i know the attraction you hold... you saw her, and that was all it took for you to know, yes?" the old woman asked. "sometimes, a person comes, and they don't need to play with the Chosen, to know who exactly they want... who exactly is best for them. you are a smart, smart young man... you know who you want, and you probobly knew, before you where aware of knowing... she will serve you well. you shouldn't doubt yourself, or your decisions... it is like Chess, yes? you want to remove the Queen first, take her for yourself, for she is the strongest character on the board." the woman smiled at him impishly. "Your Guardian, is your Queen, to your King. you have to be knocked over to lose, but they have to get through her, first." she teased, chuckling as she slowly stood up.

"come on now Little One... no more doubts. if you cannot trust yourself, Trust me. i am the oldest, after all. i have seen Emperor after Emperor choose a Guardian who is best for them. you Emperors and princes, just have a way of knowing what Dragon is best for them." she offered him her hand again. "come now, Little One, i will walk you to your ladies." she promised, offering him a smile as she waited for him to take her hand. as calm as ever, waiting patiently, even for hours on end if she had to. she was the oldest, fifty years was like a moment in time for her. once he took her hand, she led him back through the halls, and gently took the time to brush cobwebs and dust off of him, cleaning him up before leading the way back to the Great hall, patting his hand as she waited for him to gather his nerves before walking with him into the room. most of the Dragons looking very relieved that he was unharmed.

The young man contiuned to draw on his plans as he sat there, writing in a little notebook how he would have them used. Such a thing of course might mean having the dragons become more involved in human socity for military reasons... so a change in the treaty would need to be made. Young Ryou though was not really thinking of such details as he wrote in his notebook to entertain himself. Hiding form the world in the manner that he was, so that no one would be able to find him. The young man felt so scared and nervous because he didn't want to make a choice that could leave any of those sweet dragons sad, and unhappy. In fact he was so engaged in his thoughts when it came to his worry about the girls that he didn't notice the Elder coming into the room. At least not until a soft comfornting voice let his name caress the air. Though she would notice that he seemed to freeze up a bit in fear, obviously she had supirsed him in the middle of what he thought of as a sancutary.

The young man didn't even turn to look at her when she first started to speak. Kurosawa wasn't supirsed to find that before a dragon of her age, that he was as easy to read as an open book. For a human of his age the prince knew quite a lot indeed, especially about the ways of war, but about the empthay of dragons... he felt quite ingorant. The prince knew only what he had been taught by his many tutors and advisors, while growing up. Life experiance though turned him into someone who seemed quite happy to look to the dragons around him as friends... if only because of the way the younger members of the court saw him. Plus his nature as a commander, erased any potential predjuduce that he might have had. He knew that the Speaker was right though, and he had to eventually come out and make a choice. Her words did indeed help to comfort him in the way that he needed the most. So that the hand which was offered out to the young prince was taken, as he nervously twined his fingers with her leather covered digits. Though not before making sure he had his drawing rolled up in a scroll like fashion, and stored inside his robe pocket.

Once they were standing up to leave though, the male heard her change the subject... again the empathy of dragons... surpassing his expectations. It was a peace of knowlegde that the male stored away, as future battle tactics flowed through his head. Yet it was the subject of which she spoke that finally for the first time since he had been here, brought a word form his lips, "Ming... Yue..." The Elder would feel the young man's hand squeeze hers gently. He wondered if she understood what picking Ming as his dragon could mean. Even though the tutoring, and his training had left him with a somewhat fair view of dragons... the scholars of the royal court always made sure that those who choose knew of the various supersitions. As well as the differnt human beliefs about each color... yet at the same time Ming was who he wanted. She made him feel safe, happy, and warm. Plus he knew that she would be good leader like he needed for his forces, since she had already proved it by the way she handled the other female dragons during the ceromony.

So dispite the way he felt over the whole situation, Ryou walked along beside the Elder, and eventually into the hall. His eyes behind that curtian of raven hair looking around and into the relieved faces of the dragons that stared at him. All of them seemed to be waiting for the young man to make a choice, that he wondered if wethier or not he could make it. Again the young man stood there for what seemed like an enternity for his advisors. Since it was the ceromonial choosing day, there were also others here besides Ryou's gaurds and advisor. His other tutors and scholar were here, as well as the female gaurdian of the Queen Mother form the Royal Court. (The Queen Mother always had a male and female gaurdian) So she could report back quickly to her mistress of the choice that her son had made. Plus in a way be the Queen Mothers representive. Dragons who had lived at the Royal Court long egnough were influanced by the humans, as much as they influanced the humans. Wethier or not this was a good thing depended on the person in question. There were also other young dragons form the royal court who had come with there chosen, and were Ryou various cousions and relatives. Among them were those not happy, about the young man's potential future. Yet all this mattered little to him as it took him awhile to finally find were Ming Yue was among the girls, as though she was hiding form his eyes. His reaction though was instantly, letting go of the Speaker and running across the room... tripping once... before finally reaching and wrapping his arms around her waist, saying softly "Ming Yue... please let me be yours?"

The reaction form the dragons of the royal court... especially that of the Queen Mothers female gaurdian... were less than positive. Lien even went so far as to transform into her human self and began to close the distant bettewen her and the prince. She did thing of him as much her hacthling as her Chosen did, and was not going to allow him to make such a foolish choice.

Ming Yue had made certain to stand in the back, out of the way, out of sight, feeling guilty for trying to win Ryou's heart. all the Chosen moved forward to catch him when he stumbled, but he barreled past them all, and caught Ming Yue around the middle. "Ryou!" Ming Yue gasped, startled as she blinked at him, wrapping her arms around him, her head tilted a little, staring at him in shock. "i..." she gasped as Ling grabbed her arm, and tore her away from the Prince. "Prince! You cannot make such a Choice! you must Choose a Proper dragon!" Ling ordered, Ming Yue... every one in fact, looking so very insulted that such a rare, and special creature would be insulted in such a Manner. the Speaker was so furious, she shifted into her Dragon form and roared, Ling wincing as flames where spit at her, making her stagger backwards, away from Ryou and Ming Yue, covering her face with her arm in attempt to protect herself. "HOW DARE YOU!" The Dragon Speaker Snarled, slamming her massive paw down onto the floor, making the entire castle shake. "you DARE interrupt a Choosing!?" she demanded, Ling panting, startled.

"he cannot have a White Dragon! they are bad luck! she will bring doom upon him and his kingdom!" Ling gasped, angry and Horrofied and she squealed as the Speaker roared again. "DO NOT ACT LIKE A SUPERSTITIOUS HUMAN!" the entire room went still. for the Speaker to have lost her temper enough to insult one of the most important Royal dragons, and nearly every human in the room... this was serious. "You DARE interrupt a centuries old tradition! you Dare Break Treaty!" the Speaker snarled at Ling who winced. "it is for the Little Prince to decide!" Itherit nodded. "yes! Ryou is special! a special Prince! he needs just the right Dragon! Ming Yue is perfect for him!" the other Chosen chorused similar things, Ming Yue looking stunned that all of these people where coming to her defense. "If you interfere again, Ling, Chosen of the Queen! you risk starting a WAR!" the Speaker snarled. "is that what you want!? a War between the humans we love and Guard!?" "n..no!" Ling protested. "b..but he will never be taken seriously! he..." "Others have chosen light Dragons. and they have not feared badly. he will earn their respect, as has every King before him!"

the eldest Dragon who had found Ryou looked at them all with wrinkled face and wise, wise eyes. "Emperor Qin. who first found the Dragon's, and created the treaties chose a pure white Dragon." she stated firmly. "i remember. i was there." she admitted. "the Treaties say, that only the Chooser may Choose his Dragon. that neither Color, nor Species should dictate the Choice." she sniffed. "the Treaties have been broken many, many times, as Prince after Prince, Royal after Royal are set against the Rarer Colors. i do not know where these silly rumors of bad luck have started, but they will end HERE and NOW!" the old woman snarled, the Speaker nodding. "agreed." she stated turning to the humans who ha gathered in a corner, terrified of the Angry dragons. "Prince Ryou will have Ming Yue as he desires! they Chosen are right, Ryou is special, and he is the Last. he must have a Dragon who can comfort him, as well as protect him. Ming Yue, has been Chosen, and Chosen she remains!" Ming Yue turned to Ryou, her arms wrapping around him, protecting him as she looked around, her eyes narrowed as she looked at him. "i will Protect you, My Little Prince. you are Mine, For Eternity." she breathed, running her hand through his hair. "i will protect you, My Little One, for always."

Ryou's scramble to the dragon he had choosen, was certianly one born of the young heir's shy nature. It was not so much the people in the room who made Ryou shy, but it was the mixture. The young man wasn't stupid, and his hiding had been for a reason, and he knew what the reaction would be form the Royal dragons, especially Ling. That the reason he wanted to reach Ming Yue so quickly, because the raven haired youth knew that she would sheild him form everything... and in a way hide him from any guilt he would need to feel about his choice. In other words, take away that guilt. It was not long though after he felt her arms wrapped him, that suddenly she was torn away leaving the young prince reaching and grasping at air for the dragon he had chosen. For once he spoke in fornt of the larger group again as he said in a needy voice, "Ming Yue..." Though because the sudden transformation of the speaker, Ryou's gaurds made there moves as well.

It was instant at the Imperial Gaurd who had been escorting the prince seemed to form up around him. Not only that, but a few of them even moved to push Ling off of Ming and gently nugde her back towards Ryou. By forming a protective semi-circle around and moving back towards were the prince was. The whole nature of the act made one thing quite clear about Ryou, and that he was certianly a 'little Cesear' in the making. His men obviously owed there loyalty not to the state, but to there commander... having basically pushed over and threated what was considered "The Dragon Empresses." At least among humans, and her presegite would have been on the same level as the actual dragon empress. The Royal Gaurds seemed to be facing towards the Royal Family members, as in order to block them if they needed to. Also the way the regular soliders, that had escorted Ryou there, reacted reflected the same thing from them as well. They didn't make a move to surrond the young man though, knowing the might be needed for somthing else.

The men now considered Ming Yue to be there second in command, and really didn't care about her color. Ryou's choice was all they needed to know, since he had never failed them before. Even if she probably didn't need their protection, it was already hers... Ryou of course clung to Ming as she wrapped her arms back around him. In a way he felt bad acting fearful it seemed in fornt of his men, though this was partially why the Imperial Gaurd helped block any view of him. Unlike the normal soliders, they were usally well educated when compared to the others, and understood the need for there commander to keep a certian 'image'. Plus there was his age to consider, especially when looking at what he did when leading his troops... these moments were well deserved. Especially considered that Ryou wasn't clinging to her because he was scared... it was because he wasn't going to let her be snacthed away again. The look in his eyes said this as he nuzzled his head into her chest, "Thank you... Ming Yu... I will protect you to."

It was at this moment though that another dragon form the royal court spoke up, it was the Red Dragon Zaru. He was the gaurdian of Ryou's younger brother, and had a certian annoyance that his gaurded would not be Empore, especially when you compared the nature of Ryou and his younger brother. The main differnace was that one fit the part of a noble, and the other did not. Wethier or not Ryou's brother would make a good ruler, was still somthing that was questionable. He walked forward stand beside Lien, who was actually his own hacth mother, "I am sorry for the intrupption of my mother speaker, yet you have to understand her worry. We don't want the dynasty to fall apart, that has held this treaty together for so long. Even if we as a species go on, doesn't our relationship to our humans and even there family after they die mean anything to you anymore?" He paused for a moment before continuing, "Even if the first Emproer did choose a white dragon, remember the reason a fourth assassian tried to kill him was to kill her...." His words feel off as he reminded the gathered crowd the fate of the orginal Gaurdian. The only reason the treaty had not fallen apart back then was because it had been an assassiantion attempt on the Emporer and not the dragon... that detail was only uncovered much later. Though it didn't matter in light of the first gaurdian being honored because she died protecting her gaurded.

Ming Yue grappled with Ling before she was pulled back to Ryou, wrapping her arms tightly around the other, spreading thick, leathery Wings of white and wrapping them tightly around the Little Prince, protecting him from any spits of flame or ice that might come their way. Ming Yue hissed at the Royal Guards who got too close, protecting Ryou even from his own men if she had to. things where going to fast for her to be sure of what was happening, and she would protect her Prince from anything, and anyone. many of the Dragons who where not getting involved, watched with critical eyes as Ryou's men defended him, and they nodded, pleased that the Little Prince could instill such Loyalty into his men. they where pleased that Ming Yue would go to such a special young man. had the person been anyone but the Little Prince, they would have simply refused Ming Yue from participating in the Choosing, but they had all known, that she would be best for the Little Prince, even if they didn't know why. instincts ran strong with dragons, and they knew that Ming Yue would be the only Dragon right for Ryou.

Ming Yue only relaxed as he nuzzled her, and she smiled, nuzzling him back as she let her wings sink back into nonexistence as she looked at Ling, who was burning red with shame, and rage that the Little Prince would damage his reputation like this. "do not forget your place, Ling." Ming Yue suddenly snapped, her head high, looking every bit of Royalty that she now was. "even before i was Chosen, i outranked you." Ming Yue warned, making Ling snarl, and wince as Ming Yue snarled right back. "you will know your place! i outrank you Two Times over now Ling, and i know how you are. if you cause troubles for me, i will have you Culled." the entire place went silent. as the Speakers Daughter, and the Chosen of the Future King... Ming Yue really could have Ling punished if she stepped out of line. and though Culling was the most severe of punishments... Ming Yue wasn't above using her new rank to make sure that Ling didn't cause any more problems. finally, the Dragon bowed her head. "yes... My Lady..." Ling muttered, every word sounding as if it burned her tongue and lips, but she had submitting to Ming Yue, and that was what was important.

Ming Yue stared at her for a long moment before turning to Ryou, smiling as she stroked his hair. "we will go on our Bonding flight now." she ordered sternly, glancing around them as a Dragon Saddle was brought. it was plain, and simple, it had been used hundreds of times by other dragons with their Chosen for their First Flight. Ryou would have one made for Ming Yue later, but the First Flight was important, and could not wait for a form fitted Saddle. they took weeks to make a form fitted saddle, sometimes months for the more expensive, detailed ones. the First Flight cemented the Dragons love for it's Chosen. she took Ryou outside, spread into her massive Dragon form, and laid out flat as a massive ladder was brought. though it was more like stairs on wheels with a flat platform on top so that Ryou could place the saddle, younger dragons underneath strapped it tightly into place, and Ryou settled onto the soft leather seat that would keep him on her back, leg straps would even keep him from falling out if she flied upside down, as some Dragons did. she smiled as he settled into place, unleashed a trumpet of Joy, and leaped into the air, the wind rushing over them both as she cleared the ground, and the castle, in three, hard wing strokes. another three, and the world was far away as she cleared the clouds, and looked back at him, her tail swinging through the air like a Rudder, checking on him as her mind reached out to his, her soul touching his, and the Bond was made. some Dragons went back down right away, others, like Ming Yue, hovered, and glided until her Chosen decided HE wanted to go down.

The young man cooed softly as he felt two soft leathery wings wrap around his body. They seemed to block out the chaos of the world around him, and made the prince feel so safe. Ming would be able to feel Ryou relax into her arms, as though just being held in those strong wings was all that he needed. Still he knew that he would have to get her out of that habit of growling at his own men, since they would need to be able to trust her as thier commander as much as they trusted him. That was somthing though that could be worried about much much later. Soon though it seemed like things were settling down... that was until Ming Yue began to make some dangerous political moves. Kurosawa's eyes grew wide as he realized what Ming was starting to say to the Gaurdian of the Queen mother, and he began to squeeze tightly around his dragons wasit. To hopefully get her to be quite... yet the human found that he had failed... and the words were already out and the damage done.

Kurosawa though knew that he could fix it somewhat as he finally got his dragons attention saying softly, "Ming..." It would be now that she heard him speak more than anytime since he had gotten here. The young prince tucked his hair back behind his ears, to reveal those large black eyes, and his pale features. Ryou then took hold of one of Ming's hands, and brought it around so that he could nuzzle his cheek into that leather covered palm. Then bringing the other hand around around so that both of the gloved hands rested on the sides of his head, palms covering his cheeks. The prince wanted to make sure he had her attention when he gently held her chin so that he could bring there foreheads together. Letting Ming look deep into those eyes as they reflected the Machivellen words and tone with which he spoke, "Sssilly Ming... you outrank her here. She is my mothers dragon, and at Palace... she is the Empress Dragon... and far outranks you for now." He seemed to cackle at though the whole gavity of the situation he was telling her about amused him. "You guysss need to start learning more about the palace politics of the sssilly humans you sent your young off to... Oh thisss isss going to be so delightful." The Cheshire cat grin and the laugh that went along with it showed that Ryou was enjoying the idea of deadly political game.

After a long pause the prince softly cooed when she began to stroke his hair, and then nodded in agreement to her order. Staying close to the dragon's side as they went outside and got ready for the Bonding Flight. The young man stood back with a look of excitment in the form of that Cheshire like grin, which caused him to half run with the saddle up the stairs. Sometimes it seemed like he would fall, but this didn't happen and Kurosawa made it to the top and eventually it was lacthed on. Then the young man hopped on and they both took off towards the sky once he was strapped in. Ryou letting out a cry of excitment as he ascended to the skys. Once there of course he noticed that she was looking back at him, of course that was when he felt it... their minds and souls began to meld. The main reaction that she would see form him was a blush that spread over his face, as he leaned down and hugged her as best he could. Nuzzling his face into her scales he said, "I love you ssso much Ming." Her experiance though in the way his soul and mind felt were not exactlly what a dragon would have learned about. His was differnt. Ming would find that his mind seemed to be like a pretty diamond that had been broken into three peices... not that bad... but it was still like that, and would effect her somewhat in how she experianced this. The same with his soul that seemed spit in two, almost a literal yen and yang. A good side which she kept seeing in that almost child like nature of his, but also a very very dark side... that seemed almost like a pit which threatened to swallow you in.

Ryou just softly nuzzled on her for a bit, letting her decide if she wanted to take them down sooner before saying... "Isss there anywere you want to go to be alone with me Ming." It was supirsing how much he was willing to talk now.

Ming Yue smiled a little as she stroked his hair gently as her wings wrapped around him, relaxing as he did. the words where out before she even thought about it. what did she need to know about human politics? she needed to learn them now apparently, her attention turned fully to Ryou, blinking at him with crystal eyes as her thumbs stroked his cheeks. it was fairly obvious she'd only said what she said, because her chosen was upset, with him so calm and relaxed, so was she, her angry and worry completely forgotten as she blinked at him a little her head cocking to the side as he heard the slight lisp to his words. he sounded like a Dragon who hadn't gotten used to a human tongue. "the Young Dragons who are sure to be chosen do learn Palace politics... the bit that we know about it... but the 'Royal Dragons' are usually too busy learning it themselves, and protecting their chosen to teach us, and no human is willing to." Ming admitted simply. "all Dragons are in the dark when their chosen, particularly lighter colored ones. they, like myself, are usually taught more important things, like how to run the Clans, since humans are so unlikely to Choose us." she admitted simply, blinking at him.

she beamed when it was time for their flight, and roared as they leaped into the air, flaring her wings wide as she enjoyed the sensation of flight with him. "i love you as well, My Little Prince." this was not spoken, but rather the words echoed in his mind as she glided through the air like a leaf, shockingly graceful in the air. she gently wrapped around the diamond that was his mind, feeling the broken edges even as her soul wrapped around the two halves of his. he could feel her confusion and bafflement at the broken halves, uncertain what it meant. still, she felt the edges, and then left them be, unwilling to try and do anything, he wasn't broken as far as she could tell, so she decided to simply accept it as normal. and even if it wasn't normal, he was special, and there was bound to be things that weren't like other humans. she purred as he nuzzled him, the sound rumbling deep, so very deep in her chest that vibrated through her entire body, making the saddle shiver as she smiled at him. "A place to be Alone? is that allowed?" she asked in his mind. her Dragon form lacked the Vocal cords to speak in human tongues. Dragons found it more comfortable to speak in their Chosen's minds anyway.

as soon as she was reassured that it would be alright if they where alone for a while, she spun midair, and settled into a dice, diving out of the Clouds and heading for a massive Lake with a Cliff overlooking it. she flared her wings and hit the ledge with bone shattering force, yet he was barely even jarred, and aside from a few cracking noises the cliff held firm as she settled onto her belly, looking out at the lake. This was my most favorite place growing up. the Other dragon youngsters, knew i was different... a pure white Dragon hasn't been born in eons... same with my being a Hermaphrodite. they didn't mean to exclude me, but they thought i was better than them, and did their best to not distract me. i was always alone. this place, was a place i would come to, to feel better. Ming Yue explained as she let him undue the ties to his saddle, using her Wing like a slide, letting him slip onto the ground to look around. it was a very large Cave, and there was a desk inside, and a massive bed of cloth, blankets, pillows, and fur. she had clearly spent a great deal of time there, and recently too if some of the fresh marks where any indication. it was her most favorite place, and she was sharing it with him.

He understood completely her need to protect him, but at the same time... Ryou also wanted to protect her. That was the only reason he made sure to warn her before anymore damage was done. The sooner she knew, the sooner she could start learning how to beat dragons like Lien at there own game. The prince listined to his dragon talk as she looked him in the eye, and her words only made him smile, "Don't worry Ming... When I am Emporer I will make sssure that your people learn everything you need to know. At leassst within reason..." Somthings had to be kept seperate in order to keep the alliance together, though it was really nothing major. Had there been any Young Dragons being hurt then it was obvious the Royal Dragons would have reported it. It had more to do with the xenophobia of some of the lower nobles, and some of the peseants. At her last words though Ryou simply repiled, "Well I have Choosssen you haven't I Ming?"

Once they were in the air and the bonding had started Kurosawa could feel Ming reaching out to the deapths of his soul. It was quite strange really, but the way that the dragon seemed to embrace the various things that made him differnt... sent a shiver up his spine. Softly he wishpered, "Thank you Ming..." At these words the young man clung tighter to the dragon, while nuzzling his face into her back. The prince was just gald that Ming was going to let him be himself. He couldn't help the laugh that escaped from his lips when he heard the suggestion that they couldn't possiably be alone together. "Why of course sssilly. I mean if anything I am the heir... I could jussst make it an order if I have to. Plus from what I can guess about thisss time of bonding, I am sure that there wouldn't be anything wrong with it. Consssidering the way that Lein acted I would rather get to know you before going sssomwhere that their will be a whole bunch of disstractions. " That ominious cackle of a laugh continued from his lips for a few moments as they rode down to the cave. The instant that Ming came to a landing, she would find that the prince was quite excited about being able to slide down her week.

Letting out a excited noise as he sild to ground and stood up in a semi graciful manner. When Ryou stood up though, there was a slight stumble in his step which did bring him near the cliff edge, but wethier or not Ming did anything... he caught his balance. Then acting like nothing had happened the youth walked towards the cave as he listined with what seemed to be such a respectful nature as she spoke of this place, "I am honored you ssshared this with me Lien. Now we will both have this place to essscape the troubles of the world. Does anyone else know about it?" The prince walked along the room, as he seemed to poke at everything, especially the various items that might be on the desk. The young man started to head back in the direction of the bed, before suddenly he realized that there was somthing he had forgotten. So turning around he curiously asked, "Ming?... Would you like me to help you get the saddle off?" He wasn't sure if she needed him to do that before she could transform back into her more humanoid form.

she smiled at him and nuzzled him gently as he promised to make sure that she and her people where always taught everything they needed to know. "i think that would make the Lives of everyone, much easier." she admitted with a small smile as she smiled at him. "and you have Chosen me... and i love you all the more for it." she purred happily before they joined in the air. 'Your Welcome, My Little Prince... why are you thanking me?' she simply didn't understand that he was... 'broken' in any way. as far as she was concerned, he was perfect the way he was, she loved him, the way he was, fractured mind, broken soul and all. 'if you are certain we can be alone, then Alone we shall be. if anything i'll blame it on you. everyone knows a Dragon's whims are controlled by their Chosen. ' she teased, a strange sound emanating from her chest, it almost sounded like a landslide, rock sliding against rock, her laugh. clearly she was teasing him, because they both knew if Ming Yue really wanted to do something, she was big enough that not much was going to stand in her way... and up high enough on the social ladder that the few bigger than her would be unwilling to try. she laughed again at his comment of distractions and bobbed her massive head in a nod before swooping down to the cave.

when he stumbled, her wing snapped out, had he not caught himself, he would have landed gently in her wing, and would have been rather unharmed. her wing was so soft, like the softest of leathers, and her scales where just as soft.... so long as he stroked down, and not up. like a grater, as long as you stroked with the scales, you weren't hurt, but try to go the other way and you'd slice your fingers to shreds, especially with scales quite as small as any Fish in the River. she chuckled again as he caught himself and moved into the Cave, and she settled herself comfortably on the Edge of the Cliff with a small smile, enjoying the View. 'As far as i know, no one else knows of this place. if they do know of it, they respect my privacy enough that they never come anywhere near here. though they do occasionally go swimming in the Lake down there.' she admitted turning her impressive neck to look at him. like a snake, she didn't even have to turn her back to examine him, even though he was behind her. she chuckled as he offered to take her saddle off and she nodded.

'Yes, i need the straps undone now. their a pain to undue when the saddle isn't sitting on something, like my back.' she admitted with a small chuckle. really, the straps WHERE a nuisance, but they where a necessary one. they kept the Saddle stable, without choking the Dragon wearing it. the Personally made ones, where usually a lot easier to handle, but the one she was wearing was old, and the buckles where a little worn. as he unbuckled her, she carefully slid the Saddle onto the ground, making sure not to loose it over the Cliff before returning to her human form with a smile. "Ryou?" she asked suddenly. "if you don't mind me asking... why is your mind and soul in parts?" she asked, her head tilted curiously. "are they broken? i don't need to fix them do i?" she wasn't asking to change him, she didn't want that, but she was worried that he might be hurt somehow in a way that needed fixing, and only his reassurances that such a thing wasn't causing him any sort of pain, would calm her.

That devious, and yet at the same time some what cute Cheshire cat grin spread over the prince's face at the idea of a secert cave. "Well now that is jussst prefect, because consssidering the nature of palace politics. It is always good to have a safe ssspot if a person needs it. Especially one like this that is hidden away from others, and even made nice and comforntable." Plus it was near the lands of dragon tribes, who would quickly come to Ming's aid if she needed them. Dragon's and there chosen seeking asylm back among the dragons was not an unheard of occurance. It was one of those things that was simply allowed by both sides, and then dealt with quitly to be swept under the rug. So long as the gaurded never returned to the human kingdom... Though Ryou didn't want to ever consider the idea of this happening to him. He knew that he was going to be able to preform a lot better than that at being Emporer, especially with a dragon like Ming at his side.

Whenever she gave him premission to take off her saddle Ryou instantly looked up form what he was poking at and beamed at the dragon in his usal fashion. The prince would never admit it, but he did find Ming to be attractive, so getting her to transform back again... seemed delightful. Like before in his haste the youth ended up slipping, but found himself landing in Ming's outsrecthed wing. The soft feeling of it against his body caused him to coo softly, as she helped him up and soon he was on his way to helping her get the saddle off her body. "Don't worry about it Ming, when we get back, I promissse I will have the best sssaddle in the world made for you. That way it will alwaysss be comforntable for you." Suprisingly it didn't take the prince that long to get everything undone, and once he had the youth carried the saddle inside so that it could be stored nicely to the side as best he could. Before turning around to acknowlegde Ming who was back in her other form again.

"What isss it?" Though when he heard what it was that she had to say the prince seemed to pause for a bit. Tilting is head Ryou seemed a little confused as he just stood there and pondering over what Ming was talking about. "Broken... Broken..." He said the words as though to himself as he walked towards his dragon. The young man seemed to be a little out of it at the moment. Ryou wondered over to Ming and wrapped his arms around her to hold her close as he put his chin on the dragon's chest... allowing the prince to look up into his Gaurdian's eyes. "I am not really sssure what your refering to Ming? It wasss only othersss who have told me I was broken... Though I have never really felt that way." The human prince then paused though because he saw the worry in the dragon's eyes, "I am not in any pain if that isss what you are asssking, yet you can try to fix whatever want if it will make you feel better. I don't want you to be worried... just don't make too many changesss... I like me." He cackled softly and nuzzled his face into her chest, and she could gently rest her chin on the top of his head.

she smiled a little as she nodded. "as rare as i am, as powerful as i am, the others would risk War to protect us." she admitted simply, blinking at him a little. "i am the Daughter of the Speaker." she admitted simply. "and i am the first of my kind to be born in over five hundred years." she admitted. "the first Pure White Dragon to be born in four hundred." she admitted with a small smile. "but i doubt we'll ever have to worry about that. i learn quickly, you will show me how to behave properly while in Human Court, and the Human's would never dare try to chase out their only Prince... right?" she asked, smiling at him a little before gasping as he fell, her wing catching him rather effortlessly, as if she had practice doing such things... considering it was her, she probobly did, there where stories of her being very loved by the baby dragons. she purred at him as he promised the best saddle, and she pressed her nose to his forehead in a semblance of a kiss. a sign of affection from Dragons, like a warm hug. she shifted back into her human form as he carried the Saddle away and she watched him carefully as he considered the question.

"as long as you are not in pain." she murmured, relaxing in an instant. "i will not change you, i love you for who you are, even if you are broken." she admitted. "i might take precautions to make sure your mind and soul do not split anymore, with your permission, but i do not want to fix, what might not be broken... you are odd for a human, i suppose... your mind, it works very closely to a Dragons... you are a good mix of the two, and you will make a very, very good King." she admitted, kissing his forehead as she stroked his hair, snuggling him as he held her, smiling as she realized just how SMALL he really was. she purred as she held him tightly, and spread out her wings before wrapping them up tightly like a Cocoon. Dragon's did this to make their loved Chosen feel safe, and protected, like nothing in the world could get to them. her entire chest was vibrating with the deep thrumming of happy pleasure as she simply stood there, holding her Chosen before carefully unwrapping him from her arms and her wings, gently nudging him into the cave, giving him a small tour, explaining what things where for what, and what good memories she had of them.

"i used to curl up here and cry when i was upset." she admitted stroking an old nest like bundle of furs. "i would talk to this little stuffed Animal for hours." she admitted, picking up a stuffed Dragon toy that was looking a little worn, but oh so cute. "she was my only freind for years." she admitted settling the toy into Ryou's hands. "she's yours now. so even if i can't be right by your side, you'll never be alone." she promised him, smiling at him. she knew he would have meetings, that she couldn't be with him physically. she'd always be with him in his mind, and in his soul, but she wouldn't always be able to be there with him physically, so she wanted him to have something there, so he wouldn't feel lonely. "i used to eat snacks here, and read stories about far away places." she continued, with a smile. "so many wonderful books, of so many amazing places. Deserts with ancient gods, and mountains where no air breathing creature could survive." she admitted with a small chuckle as she settled into the bed that was there. "i once stayed here for a month, just reading." she admitted with a grin before looking out at the world. "we should go back." she admitted, blinking at him. "people will think we're fornicating if we're gone for too long."

The future emporer nodded his head in approval to her words, "Very good then, I was hoping that you would sssay that. Essspecially considering that I am sssure we can both agree on the fact that being broken is sssimply a matter of opinion." Ryou winked in amusement as those words left his lips. Though her other suggestion was quite a curious one, since he had never heard of such a thing before. "Well I guesss I can go along with that, but only if it you who takesss the precautionsss... and pleassse be careful... as I sssaid, it would be best not to change anything." Especially since she seemed consider him almost like a dragon. Ryou knew that such a thing had to be really good, and could even help to bring the few dragon tribes who had never signed the treaty into the fold if he was lucky. The most improtant thing of all though, it made him feel closer to Ming... she was the only thing that matter to him right... and the way the prince clung to her as she held him, showed this.

Cooing softly as she wrapped him in her wings Ryou softly planted a kiss on her neck... the nearest piece of skin he could find. The prince truely did feel like nothing in the world could hurt him while Ming was nearbye. Following the female dragon closely as she gave him a tour of the cave, the young man made sure to take in every single detail. It was a wonderful place, and he even noticed that it had a few tunnels that led futher back, but decided that he would wait until later to ask Ming about those. The reason for this was the fact that he was suddenly distracted by the toy dragon that Ming handed him. His eyes lite up like that of a child on Chistmas causing the young man squel like a little school girl. Taking to toy gently into his arms he cuddled it close and smiled at her saying, "Oh thank you thank you thank you Ming... I promissse I will treasssure it forever..." Then suddenly the male realized that he had lost his composure, only to blush softly in that adorably cute fashion that he always did. "Sssorry about that... I got a little excited."

The young man had been having so much fun their when it came to spending time with Ming, that he did forget that they would have to go back sometimes... but it was what she said that turned that pale face almost beat red with embressment. Though luckily it was hidden behind that vale of raven colored hair... as he clung the stuffed animal closely to his chest. Sitting on the bed Ryou crossed his legs, and waited for Ming to hopeful come sit beside him, or even say somthing to him. His words seemed to be so nervous and adorable, because it seemed like the prince was trying to express somthing he wasn't used to, "Well Ming what would be ssso wrong with that?" The hint was quite clear, but at the same time... there was somthing wrong with the moment... it was as though they were being wacthed.

Ming Yue smiled a little as she nuzzled him and nodded. "i like you the way you are." she admitted shaking her head. "and i'm not going to be touching the edges. i'm essentially building a cage around them, so that if they spread, or try to shatter, the Cage will catch them, and prevent them from actually breaking." she admitted, blinking at him with a small smile. "hold very still." she murmured, wrapping him up just a little tighter, before pressing her forehead to his. he could feel her power sliding through his soul and mind, it was cool, but pleasant, like drinking a sweet cold drink and feeling it slide down your throat. she purred as he kissed her neck, and he could feel the power building around his soul, in a place deep inside of his chest, and around his mind... but as promised, the strands of power didn't touch the broken edges, they just supported them, preventing major damage until Ming Yue could figure out if his mind was supposed to be like that or not. once she was certain, she would either enforce the strands of power, or remove them, depending on what she learned.

she smiled happily as she then led him through the cave, and beamed at his excitement over the little Toy Dragon. "it's alright to get excited." she promised him, smiling a little. "i always called her Li." she admitted with a small laugh. "but you should rename it, something that suits it, and your personality." she ordered with a grin as she nuzzled him before watching him blush furiously. "...wrong with it? well nothing i suppose... i thought humans where forbidden from sleeping with their Dragons, that's all." she admitted with a smile as she stroked his cheek and gently pulled his chin up so that he was looking at her. "you know what o am... Futhir... what your people would call a Hermaphrodite... you know i have a dick. right?" she asked, looking concerned. many humans saw such things with fear and horror, and she did not want her Chosen to be afraid of her. she leaned down to give him a kiss before hissing, her eyes flashing to slits as she turned to the entrance of the cave. "Ryou... wait here... there is a Feral Dragon here!" she hissed, her long wings spreading wide as she snarled furiously. Feral Dragon's where the 'untamed' Dragons, the ones who where not bound by the contract. you could always tell they where Feral, for they usually had glowing red eyes, duller scales, and tattered wings from surviving on their own. they also had a unique smell, at least to the Dragon's they did, and they where always trouble when they entered 'Guardian' territories.

sometimes, a Feral dragon was 'hired' or rather 'bribed' with large portions of meat, to carry out assassinations. Ming snarled and shifted into her massive Dragon Form, the cave perfectly large enough to hold her and Ryou at the same time, and her tail wrapped around Ryou's waist, lifting him up off the bed and planting him, carefully behind her, just as the Feral Shrieked. a high pitched noise, like what a Hawk would give off right before and attack... and then attack it did. Ming Yue and the Feral snapped and snarled as they grappled in the entrance of the cave, sharp talons slicing through scales as sharp teeth attacked wing and neck. bright, copper blood spilled across the entrance of the cave. there was a scream of pain as red talons met white wing, slicing to the bone, tearing through flesh without mercy. Ming Yue bellowed, a sound of rage, and suddenly she was the one in charge of the fight, slamming her head into the enemies, stunning the poor, stupid Feral, and with a single clamp of her jaws, and a twist of her head... the enemy no longer had a throat. it gurgled and collapsed onto the massive ledge, it's blood spreading across the ground as Ming Yue collapsed, her forelegs sliced to shreds from raging claws, her wings and throat tattered from teeth. she was in bad, bad shape, but she was a Dragon... it would take more than that to kill her.

"R.. Ryou... are you hurt?" Ming Yue demanded, twisting her head to examine him, blinking slowly at him. she was certain that Feral Dragon had been after him. but Ryou would know, that the Feral hadn't even glanced at him. the bastard had been there with the soul purpose of killing Ming Yue. "there's a healing Kit over there in the Corner." she admitted, blinking slowly at him again. it was so big, Ryou almost couldn't drag it over to her. inside was everything he'd need, healing salves made from natural herbs, which would stop bleeding and prevent infection. there where so many bandages, that Ryou could drown in them, there was even a needle and thread bigger than his forearm. she groaned as the salve was put in place, it stung and burned, but it cleaned out the bacteria of the Ferals claws. as he bandaged her, she slipped into a light doze, resting from the pain and the effort that had gone into killing the threat. "we'll be stuck here for a while My Little Prince." she murmured as he reached her wing to bandage it. "i can't fly, it will take Days to heal." she admitted, blinking at him, glad that her Dragon body healed so much faster than a human's fragile one. she could shift into human form, but she ran the risk of bleeding out if she did that. he had to bandage her first and stop the bleeding, and then she'd change back. her Dragon Magic would shrink the bandages with her, keeping the bandages, and the Salve in place.

Cooing softly Ryou was gald that he had been able to find a dragon that didn't want to change him. His impression of dragons had always come from the ones at the royal palace who were influanced by the humans. Which meant that some of them held the same idea about changing Ryou, which their human's did. A look of confusion spread across his face at the mention of what she was going to do, but the future Emporer trusted the dragoness, "Alright Ming, but just be careful." Kurosawa didn't fully understand that she could see his mind as a mental image, but still he cuddled up close to the dragoness and held still as her power slipped into him. The feeling of her energy running through his body, brought a sense of calm and relief to the young man that he had not felt his entire life. Though it was the way that Ming clung to him so close which really made the prince feel good. The feeling of Ming's power spreading through his mind and soul, gave the young man a feeling as though she was permently there and holding those parts of him in the same way.

Holding her hand as he followed her through the cave Ryou studied over the cute dragon toy. Cuddling it close to his body his reply to his Gaurdian was a simple one, "But I like the name Li... I think it fits her. Besides she might get sad if we change her name." Kurosawa laughed softly in that manic like sound of his. That unusally large grin spread over his features when she nuzzled him and only made his blush worse. This quickly changed though to a look of bewilderment, "Who told you a sssilly thing like that Ming? Quite a few of the royal dragon'sss fuction as concubines for those that they gaurd..." His sentance was cut off by the feeling of her leather covered palm caressing his cheek, and taking hold of his chin so that they now looked eye to eye. That adorable grin returned to his face, but in a more affectionate form as he said, "Yes Ming, I know all about that... and I can tell you that it doesn't really bother me. In fact I think it just makes you all that much more amazing." Suddenly he felt her lips connect to his own in a short kiss, that to Ryou felt like so much longer. It was not somthing he had expected from his dragon, especially one as pretty as Ming, without asking.

Suddenly though all hell seemed to break loose, and for once in his life... Ryou felt like he was helpless. Normally he and his men would have charged into battle to help Ming, but his Guard was not here to help him. Plus he had left his sword at the Palace, which just now the young man was realizing was a foolish move on his part. So all he could do was cling to the little toy, and hope. It was not long though before the prince was able to happily wacth his dragon walk away from her battle with the Feral victorious, though he was worried for her condintion. Luckily that was one of the things he had been taught how to do during his years of tudoring... dragon care. A good choosen needed to know how to take care of thier gaurdian, just as much as the gaurdian knew how to take care of the choosen. As he grabbed the suppiles out of the box, and went to work the prince spoke to Ming softly, "Don't worry Ming, I am sssure everything will be alright. I mean I am prefectlly ok, ssso I am more worried about you than anything elssse." He smiled at the fact that they would have to stay here for a few days, since it would give them some time away from the politics of the palace he knew would come... "Well I least that gives us some time to get to know each other better."

Soon he was finished with sticthing up the wounds and covering them with bandages. Ryou just hoped that the fight Ming had gotten into had not left any premenat damage especially when it came to the area around her wings. Those where the most delicate areas.

she smiled, pleased that he trusted her so wonderfully to let her poke about his mind. she enjoyed the feeling of wrapping around his mind, like she was curling around him, protecting him from the inside and the outside. his mind could break no further now, and she was satisfied that there was no danger, and better yet, with her inside his mind, if another Dragon tried to go into his mind, some of them could do that, they would be utterly unable to do a single damn thing. his mind was completely protected now, even if she died her power would still protect him, not that she knew that, such a thing had never happened before. she smiled as he cuddled the stuffed Dragon, and she nodded a little. "alright, her name will stay Li then." she agreed happily, kissing her chosen was almost as delightful as curling around his mind and soul. she was astonished that he was so happy to accept her... strangeness, and she half considered if Ryou would ever consider playing the bottom position? she doubted it, but it would be something to ask him once they had gotten more used to each other.

she was rather astonished at how well he was taking care of her. she'd heard rumors that possible Chosen's where given proper Dragon Care lessons, but had scoffed at it. they weren't horses! they could groom themselves thanks much... now she knew she shouldn't have scoffed. he was taking wonderful care of her, his fingers soft and gentle as he slathered on the salve and carefully bandaged her. she watched him handle her wing with the utmost of care, and she smiled a little, giving him a gentle nuzzle. "now that i am bandaged, i can shift back into my human form. it will be easier for me to heal, as the wounds will be smaller." she admitted, groaning in pain as her body shifted. the normally painless procedure, was agony with so many wounds shifting about. her front arms where completely covered in the bandages, her legs perfectly fine. her throat was also covered in bandages, as where parts of her face, and on her back was the wing wounds, still stitched perfectly. it hurt like hell, but she was right, the wounds where smaller, and would then heal faster. "thank you for taking such wonderful care of me." she murmured, giving him another kiss. "you are a wonderful Chosen."

(ugh. short post is short. >< sorry.)

Ryou took great care with every bit of the bandage that he put on Ming. Knowing that he wasn't exactlly a professional, and dragons did need special care when it came to certian area's of their bodies. Such as around the wings and near the tails and necks. For some odd reason though, Kurosawa felt like he was in prefect form with every single movement that he made in bandaging up his dragon. He was gald that she had been thier and he had been able to choose her. It was a little embressed to admit it, but it was her... strangness that was one of the factors. It was not really considered proper for a Emporer to have a male gaurdian, but in this way... Ryou could have his cake and eat it too. His desire to play bottom for Ming was somthing that he didn't even have to consider, since the desire was already there in spades. Once he was done the young man stepped back and waited for the other to transform, knowing what would happen with the bandages.

Cooing softly as she nuzzled him it caused that adorable blush to cover his pale features. He wacthed though as she began to transform back into her human state, with a slight frown on her face. The noises of her pain... it was so strange... it was almost like he could feel it himself even though it was just noise. The future Emporer couldn't help, but ask... "Are you ok Ming? I didn't do sssomthing wrong did I? I don't want you to be hurt." Stepping forward timidly after he was sure that she was fully transformed back, the young man found himself walking into another kiss. Which only served to set off on another one of those cute blushing attacks. For a moment Ryou felt and looked like a smitten little school girl near a first crush. Nervously the words came out as he reached out, "Thank you Ming, I ssstill would like to check over the bandagesss though."

His hands seemed to be shaking nervously as he reached and gently ran them over the bandages that he could reach. While taking a hard look at the ones he could not. He knew there were others that he could not see though, but the young man was sure that they were fine. His fingers lingered for a moment as they ran over his dragon's leather hand, almost pulling her into a hug, before he stopped and contiuned speaking in that oddly nervous voice, "Well they ssseem to be fine. I am quite sssure they will keep you healthy while we ssstay here during the time you heal."
