Samantha made her way through security. She wasn't happy with her job, felt like she was stuck in a rut. Still every morning there she was going through all the hoops. She had gone to how many years of school to be here? Now she started to question her own sanity. Which was rather ironic due to her job. Samantha was a psychologist at a mental institute for the criminally insane. It was her job to try and see past the insane killers that filled the halls and try to bring them back to reality.
Today was a very different day however. Her nerves tarted to get to her as she finally walked past the final checkpoint and started to head to her office. She was suppose to meet him today, some considered him the worst of the worst. He was almost a legend in the asylum. He had been convicted on multiple homicides and even escaped this very asylum twice. He was caught this time with several hostages and a high grade explosive. He was good at playing mind games and was even better at getting what he wanted. Still Samantha kept telling herself she could handle it. She was considered the "Ice Queen" by most of her co-workers. No relationships, no flirting, she didn't even go out with her co-workers when they celebrated birthdays or promotions.
She took a deep breath as she entered her office. She sat behind her desk and took out the folder with his file inside. "Calm down Samantha." she said. Her hands shook a bit as she opened the folder.
