Blake was sitting in his own room, spending his evening playing a new roleplaying game his parents had bought him. It was no secret, he really enjoyed video games. He'd been playing them enough that his parents blamed them for him needing glasses within the last year. He clearly was his sister's brother, given his green eyes and short brown hair. He was also a year younger than her, making him thirteen.
He was currently wearing just a plain, white t-shirt and a pair of light shorts. They made sure to keep him cool at night; he hated waking up sweaty in the middle of a nice sleep.
As he played the game, continuing to level up and fight enemies, his dad opened his door and came in. He paused and looked over at his father. "Blake, your mother and I are having to go into work again tonight. Something about an emergency. We'll be back in the morning, but until then you have to listen to Lynn. She's in charge." his father stated.
"Okay, okaaay. I'll probably just be right here anyways. Please be careful on your way to work, its really dark out tonight." Blake replied, unpausing his game. He acted not bothered, but the fact that Lynn was in charge made him cringe slightly. He was the younger sibling, so it made sense, but he didn't like it. Oh well.
"Good night, son, love you." their father said before turning and leaving. It wasn't long until the siblings' parents were pulling out of the driveway and moving down the road.
