The Wastelands
(located due west of Inalt and Miljoc, unknown as to how far it expands, desertous waste that is a result of the destruction and aftermath of when the comet struck Earth causing a chain of natural disasters that forever altered the planet's surface)

Gen could feel every bump and jostle as her carriage was being pulled by the horses neighing and snorting ahead. Hers was the second in line of the one particular two-car carriage train and as such her ride was particularly rough and unforgiving. Still, she wasn't one to complain. Life on the road was never smooth and often times full of adventure. Luckily her first year of travel had been relatively uneventful, at least in terms of dangers and other such things were concerned. But that was as she wanted it. She'd left her old life back in Uscat behind so as to be rid of nonsense and chaos--namely her father and a certain young man who thought he could bully her into a whimpering mass of nothing. But no. That wasn't the sort of life she wanted nor needed. No. She needed to leave that life behind. And oh how she hoped the circus she now traveled with never returned to Uscat. That city could stay behind and waste away in the desert from whence it came far as she was concerned.

Good riddance!

Just then Gen felt her carriage go over another bump and her tiny body shifted and struck against the wall of the wagon. "Oww..." she whimpered softly, her hand reaching to rub at her shoulder, which she was sure would bruise. But no matter, it was well worth it in the end. Letting out a tiny breath, she flicked her long, dark tendrils of hair over her shoulder and got up to look out the window of her wagon. Ah, in the distance she could see the city of Inalt. Soon the circus would be arriving there to put on a show for the people there for the Fall season. The people loved shows this time of year, something to warm them and keep them smiling as they prepared for the harsher seasons ahead.

Gen found herself getting excited to be arriving at the large city. She'd only been there once before since joining the circus and she'd improved her act greatly since then, her aerial performance now a spectacular sight for any audience to behold. She hoped it would be well received. As the wagons drew closer, she bit down on her lip, her smile growing more and more despite it.
